    Spears are weak.

This is a feedback towards both Single and Multiplayer.

Spears in the game are currently all considerable short to at most medium spears, both due to their lengths and improper way of holding and placement on the characters hand.
They also possess too little damage and besides than on horseback, they aren't really as effective as they should actually be.

At times, when fighting someone with a sword, it feels like you both have about the same reach, when even a short spear should outreach a long sword most of the time.
That is precisely why spearmen footwork is entirely directed to keeping a distance and swordsmen footwork is directed to closing in.

A true long spear should be about twice the size of the current longest spear in the game. (Image examples)

    Pikeniere_Wallenstein-Festspiele_Memmingen.jpg

You can see that a long spear, at times, can be almost twice the size of a person.

And cavalry trained to be able to hold with one hand at between the half mark to 3/4 mark to the back of the pole, which would leave almost 1 to 1 and a half human bodies of length remaining.

Even for ground melee infantry, spears were mostly held closer to the back.
    Ancient_Greece_hoplite_with_his_hoplon_and_dory.jpg

And lastly, comes the matter of couch lancing, which mostly was held even closer to the back of the pole, leaving almost the whole of the spear's length to the front.
You can clearly see this through jousting and how a joust lance looks like.

Their damage also needs to be upped quite a bit. Even with an armor or a helmet, the minimum damage that should be registered should be about 10 or so, as spears easily penetrated or at least dented armor and shield.
As it currently is, at times, you can strike with a lance and see it cause 3 or even 1 of damage, so not only are we losing length through improper technique, its damage is too low.

I ask the dev team to truly consider taking the time to fix the current state of spears and couch lancing in the game.

Your post was very good, something else the spear is one of the most powerful weapons in a real combat other than the sword

There's will be an option for turn on/off the aging in future, right?

Just as said in the title: Is there's will be an option for turin on/off the aging?
In the future? perhaps, it had taken years for humanity to create something like that

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

I have that feeling, to an extent. Something about the eyes is off, I just can't put it into words yet. Probably the look of surprise every notable has 100% of the time.

I'm fine with that, though. Just can't get the "melt one half of the face off" slider out of my mind yet. xP
Some khuzaits face looks like Elves from Elder scrolls

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

See, that's anatomically possible asymmetry. It doesn't stem from one half of the face drifting away from the other on the vertical axis, like the person had been spending 12h a day in their childhood compressing their skull diagonally. Really the vibe I'm getting from random bannerlord faces.

Asymmetry is the norm in real human faces. Just not the kind we get to do with the character editor sliders
Just me who found the bannerlord design very cartoonized?

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

I have a feeling "not having plastic surgery" doesn't equate to "everyone had dead eyes, a melting Lego minifigure face, and a jaw the size of a 18-wheel truck". Can't say I know too much about Middle Ages to back that up though.

The dudes look mostly human on my save, the ladies don't. I'm not speaking modern beauty standarts here, I just don't think those face features are anatomically possible.

There seems to be an overreliance on the "face asymmetry" slider in the current npc face generator that makes most city notables look like melting chocolate bunnies. Creepy stuff.

    Lord's Changed (secretly)

This is the reason for not to start the new playthrough. New faces are awful, Abagai in particular, the old one is much more cute. The new one looks like a man with awful military make-up. Many lords look also horrible, it looks like they've taken their inspiration from those cringy carricatures from cartoons for kids.

And have you seen the new face of Mesui? Her old design represents her as a woman who survived a slaughter (the scar and the blind eye reminds her of it). The new face is just crap.

    BRING BACK OLD FACES!
There is no plastic surgery in the Middle Ages

    Blood and gore.

Except there's nothing realistic about gore and dismemberment. Literally, what we currently have is as real as it gets.

Appealing to the fantasies people have, can be a good selling point, yes. But as much, not appealing to fantasies and keeping it real, is also a good selling point. That's what this game is based on, and I don't see a reason to change that and start including fantasy depictions.

Not when there's nothing to be really gained for putting in that extra effort. If the game starts appealing to one brand of fantasy, then what's to stop others? Dual wielding. Fantasy armors and weapons? Great sword bigger than a horse? Whirlwing attacks? Bikini armors. Magic? Dragons? Who gets the say in which fantasy should be allowed and which should not be?

It's simply not that kind of game.
so a sword goes through someone's body without showing a cut or anything just a "magic stain" of blood is realistic for you?
The blood doesn't even run and nothing like that, it just appears, very realistic don't you think? and dismemberment or something like that depends on the type of blade used tbm it will hardly dismember someone with a European blade type, with axes it is much easier or Saber Type that have a higher cutting power
You don't see someone having half their face ripped off with an attack on their face or anything, just a red spot, don't come realistically if you've never seen how brutal the world is
You don't see guts on the ground in the game, try to attack someone with a sword in the belly to see what happens and see how realistic the game is far from being.

    Debuff effects

I see a lot of people saying that bannerlord is a game that pulls more towards the realistic side so I would like to know more about people's opinions

I would like to see something like: parts of the body produce a certain debuff, for example, damage to the legs can slow your movement and the arm, decrease your damage or swing speed or thrust speed, of course it is not a request or anything like that it is just the opinion of the guys that will be aborted in this post, if there is no possibility of happening in the game there are still mods
  10. Ryotarou

    Debuff effects

Do not come with sarcasm or hate here, please, I want in my post to comment only people who have new ideas and if they have a rejection check the poll up there NO
  11. Ryotarou

    Debuff effects

Correct me if I'm wrong but is there any debuff in the game? if there couldn't be, effects like bleeding, bruise damage weapons could decrease their effectiveness in battle etc... Something like walking in the snow is bad or in the desert increasing the amount of food needed in these areas, they...
  12. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

Perhaps some of the bodies may be, but the cases as shown in the picture, no. Those are still wearing mail coifs -- and cutting a head off when somebody is wearing a coif, is literally impossible. Protecting the head and neck from cuts is exactly what the coif is designed for, and it's likely a person dies from the neck breaking, because a blade cannot cut through coif -- damaging the rings and perhaps a partial cut, is about the best it can do.

Which means, the cases in the picture are simply bodies picked up from the battlefield and hastily buried. Because decapitation is unlikely, the cause of death is clearly displayed in the pictures -- an attack to the exposed face -- brutal for sure. But not exactly a decapitation.
    Yeah
But I would like to see a little gore, yes, there are only red spots on the bodies
  13. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

You do realize skulls tend to detach from the torso when it is decayed down to the bone... right?
    Could it be beheading?
  14. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

I have no doubt that they will implement most of the tweaks and fixes in the future. It is still an EA game afterall and modders can simply put their time into the 1 thing that they want added or are annoyed by. TW has the whole game to consider, and 1 fix can mean something else gets broken.

I do agree that low tier should be able to get dismembered in some form, but people dont just simply lose their head or arm when you swing a sword at them. Maybe they could add it in the very far future as a dlc like you said, but i wouldn't hold my breath because they allready talked about this.
If it's not official then there will be mod and modders are working with a file limit
  15. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

You conveniently forgot about the argument I postulated at the very beginning about it being a waste of development time, as well as a drain on limited resources AND a potential introduction of further complexities into the code, which could lead to more bugs. As well as the fact that you CAN get that nonessential and niche feature without all of the above drawbacks if you just use a mod that already can be done even now, with no modding tools involved. But hey, lets cherry pick the things we want to address, right?
If a modder did it easily without even being paid for it, I think people with a lot of experience can do it too
  16. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

Dismemberment only has like 90k downloads though, its not even in the top 10.

So by your logic they should implement all other mods before dismemberment because majority likes them more.

It did happen sometimes yes, but thats why they wear armor and helmets though.... In reality it is near impossible to actually dismember someone fully kitted out in armor. But if you base it on hollywood movies or series, yes its absolutely possible; but then again so are transformers.
I just put in my previous post that they should put a balance and said the same thing as you, I recommend reading the other post before commenting on something like that
  17. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

I've heard it from multiple, well-regarded sources (people who live this kind of information), that battlefield dismemberments were near non-existent - judging by the information available from medieval battle-fields archeologists have dug up.If it happened on the odd occasion, it was probably a fluke or committed after the battle had ended. The site of the Battle of Visby, fe, is apparently the most well preserved of all medieval battle sites. Archaeologists got a very good picture of the injuries sustained by all 2,000 victims. Not one had a single finger dismemberment.

I think it's safe to say dismemberment is a Hollywood fantasy.
I researched about this visby battle and found nothing about the bodies being intact and taking into account that they are on the ground for centuries I doubt that there is evidence that there was no dismemberment after all a head may be far from the body there in the middle of the heap, another fact important ... dismemberment is not just the head, but other parts of the body such as arms, legs etc, should have more detail in battles, not because it is not "historically mimimimi" the game should show the brutality and danger of a battle real and the only feeling I feel playing a battle is like any other, there is nothing different.
Remembering dismemberment was rare but not impossible
  18. Ryotarou

    Blood and gore.

It very rarely happened in real life medieval battles, so I vote no to a dismemberment gore-freak-fantasy-fest, thanks.
Was dismemberment rare in a time of swords?
I doubt that a sharp two-handed sword or an ax does not leave the head at least hanging with only part of the neck holding

..There should be a dismemberment balance because armor targets would be more difficult

A hand or a leg is very easy to throw or at least let it swing, just like the guy above said they don't want the game to be 100% realistic ... but
    "Breathtaking battles
Enter the battlefield and experience the brutality of medieval first-person or third-person combat with hundreds of units on the screen at the same time, each with its own nuanced AI. "I don't see that kind of brutality in the game

Do u like random companion generation?

i dont like this feature and i think that thi is one of that things that warband made better. What s your opinion?
the game should work for decades if not centuries, so it has this system, after all there is an implementation of the dynasty system in the game (children), so consequently their companions live and die, and making each one have a story would be laborious to more
