    Pretty much what the Shield Bash script does is whenever the user presses a certain key combination, it finds all the people within a certain radius from the attacker and plays the "falling over" animation.  You could modify it so that instead of playing an animation, it deals damage.  You could even make it only deal damage to enemy units, or not deal damage to enemies that are defending and other stuff like that.  Of course, the Shield Bash script is for .960 and I personally don't know how compatible that is with 1.003.

    While you are correct, thats not the point here.  This is not a suggestion thread but a modding thread.  Anywho, i believe that that whol hitting two pwople or more with a melee attack is impossible to implement.  Its harwired into the game.

    I suspected that it was hardwired, that's why I was wondering if I could overcome it somehow by scripting several instances of attack into 1 keypress (and represented by only 1 animation).. each one separated by a fraction of a tenth of a second...

    theoretically an these chained attacks would be resolved in sequence, meaning opponents in your attack arc are subject to individual attacks... although what you see on screen is only 1 swing / thrust etc.

    Myabe if you could change the way it applies damage to characters to be similar to the horse damage?

    I've thought of that before, although doing it through item editor is definitely not possible (no charge damage field for weapons). I'll have to wait for the updated module system to try something... if, by some miracle i manage to do it i'll release it as a minor mod.

    He doesn't care. He needs some answers on how to implement it.

    Yep, you're right. Munchkinism or not, It's a rush to cut through hoards of enemies. I personally don't care much for Dynasty Warriors tho, i'd just like to tweak M&B to my own tastes. As stated earlier I might eventually work towards a more fantasy like mod where your character may be able to reach demi-god like prowess, but that's way off in the future..
  6. Custom Battles for 1.003?

    Does anyone know whether its possible to make custom battle work for 1.003? I'm thinking maybe if i replaced certain files in the module with those from Native?

    Ok.. i've given it some thought... and what I'd really like to know is:

    How to make it such that each melee attack is aimed at more than 1 target? and you can catch another target if he is in your attack arc?

    As far as I can see, each attack is only resolved against 1 target, even if there is another enemy right next to him, my swing will never be able to catch him.

    Would it be possible to script multiple attacks directed at different enemies in your attack arc iin 1 keypress / 1 animation??????

    is there an option to get rid of the remnant tree trunks too?

    I have no problem imagining that this would be the case if the setting were in a land like the central Asian steppes or some place like Orkney with no trees at all.

    Ok, here's what i'm trying to achieve: I'm trying to add a more 'fantasy' epic feel into my M&B game, basically creating some 'legendary' weapons for the player character and rival lords. So what I need is to be able to create weapons that can damage several opponents with 1 good swing.. better...

    I was under the impression most existing Mod Tools did not work for the latest version of M&B.. hmmm, i'll check those links out, thanks!!  :mrgreen:

    EDIT: the repository does not allow direct download... could u tell me the name of the mod tool for editing stats so I can go look for it myself?

    Hi, I know it's probably buried somewhere, but for the life of me i can't seem to find simple instructions on how to edit weapon stats in the item-kinds1 txt file... Could someone please tell me how to.. 1) Edit 'piercing' type damage for weapons? I know which vaule is for 'cutting' damage...

    The mouse button movement thing is pretty much hardwired to my brain since the days of Quake 2.. its hard to believe, but I've actually passed on perfectly good games simply because of key binding restrictions. And btw my 'Attack' key is my Tab key.. which is a bigger headache.

    Hi, I just downloaded the game and paid for the license. Am enjoying it immensely but for 1 small problem. See, I have the slightly weird quirk whereby I HAVE to bind my forward/backwards movement to my mouse buttons. This works well in combat, but on the map i am prevented from entering...
