    Did they ever fix this? TalesWorlds told me to install the game as an administrator. I told them I already am and asked what to do. They never replied. I just want to tinker with my characters, maybe try out a mod or two.

    How do I turn off the fog?

    It's very annoying and even appears indoors.  I'm trying to wait it out but the dang thing is not going away.  It's been at least a week of game time and still fog everywhere.

    Wow, I go away for a year and someone necros my topic.  I'm glad other people are enjoying the Viking goodness.  My favorite part so far is probably when Askeladd and his merry band slaughter an entire village.  Men, women, children... but it's somewhat justified, considering their circumstances.  These other comics you guys have dug up look cool too.

    I've been playing it off and on since 0.621, so that's probably a couple years.  Whenever a new version comes out I play it for a while and then get bored.  After that I mostly leave the game alone, but I still check the site every now and then for an updated version; when that comes out I download it and repeat my playing cycle.

    I was part of the minor influx of people who'd read Zachary "Spokker Jones" Gutierrez' brief write-up of the game on Something Awful.  I think what I downloaded was version 0.622.

    Horse archers = bad?

    Horse archers act really weird for me.  They accept the first command I give, like coming back to hold position or follow me, but then they go back to charging the enemy again and don't listen to any further commands.

    Also, horse archery as a playing style got kind of nerfed.  Like others have noted, it takes more arrows to kill people now.  I don't know what those sea raiders put on their leathers but it can take up to 3 arrows to kill them, and I've got 200+ archery skill and a power draw of 3.

    Being a bandit hunter sucks.  It's okay in the early game, but later on you don't get much money and it's a total pain chasing those idiots all over the map.

    I think most people who download the crack are those who never would have bought the game anyway.  Sure, there's probably a percentage who do it just because they're incredibly cheap, but since no one has really done a study on this yet we can't assume that every download of a crack counts as a lost sale.

    The guy's obviously a conscientious objector.  Kudos to Armagan for including the new Pacifist AI.

    Why'd the command and army selection keys get switched?

    For the most part I'm not having any trouble, but sometimes I get into a hairy situation and I find myself stabbing the 2 key instead of F2.

    What new weapons have you found in 0.890?

    There are a bunch of swords with generic names out there, like "Medieval Sword a" or "Medieval Sword b."  Most of the arms merchants I run into seem to have at least a couple of them.

    .890 Bug List

    After a castle is captured the info screen lists it under both the old and new owners.  For example, imagine the Vaegir capture Culmarr Castle.  If you click on Kingdom of Rhodoks in the quest menu it will have Culmarr Castle listed as their property but if you click on Kingdom of Vaegirs the castle will be listed there as well.

    Anyone figured out the Trade skill yet?

    Anytime I go to a city I simply check their stock.  If they have a ton of one item then I buy 10 of those items.  The price I pay will increase as I buy more.

    Then I just carry those items with me and when I come to a town that has very little or better yet, none, of that item then I sell.

    I  have made thousands in just a few minutes.  There is no need to learn trading routes, as the prices change as cities gain or lose each item.

    One time I found fish for 10 denari or so, I bought as many as I could get, the last few I bought were 20 to 25 denari.  I then went to the next town over and discovered they had no fish at all and I was able to sell the fish for 40 to 50 denari.  All in all the whole transaction took about 3 or 4 minutes.

    I like this much better than having to take item A to city B, over and over again...

    That's interesting, but I'm more interested in the mechanics behind the trade skill.  Just how much more profitable are the trade routes you get from the "Assess trade goods" option if you have a 4 in trade instead of a 2?

    .890 Bug List

    I can't seem to finish the troublesome bandits quest.  When I go back to the merchant who gave it to me she doesn't acknowledge that I've already slaughtered the entire party.

    It seems kind of awkward, then.  Maybe the name should be changed to a Threadbare, Worn, Tattered (I'm just looking through my thesaurus here) or Battered Outfit?

    Minor typo

    I found a piece of armour called a "Ragged Ragged Outfit" (sic).  Is this a typo or are there supposed to be a Sturdy Ragged Outfit and a Hardened Ragged Outfit?
