    Just had to say what an amazing job you've done with this mod ironing out bugs and improving quality of life stuff. Really the only WB mod I enjoy replaying many times. Just played with the latest nightly and I didn't experience a single crash or scrolling script errors that use to be prevalent in my early play throughs especially in battles. It was just an enjoyable experience all the way through with good conquering evil without losing a single town for any good faction. I love being able to ask the town 'mayor' where generals are for that faction.

    Only one short script error I got was when I used influence to get two generals to follow me to eliminate the Isengard final army. Afterwards while roaming I got a script error about AI deciding whether to continue following me or not and invalid party id or something like that. Didn't pay much attention and I didn't need them anymore so I released them.

    Hiya,

    Just restarted playing again as Dwarves and had a few questions.

    I like how you changed the council so that I can suggest course of action while they are still on campaign but unfortunately it seems a waste of 35 influence as it stands now because the Dwarf faction leader just tags the base now enough to say it's been sieged then leaves the base and carries on to something else.  I've tried like 4 times and he's never actually sieged the base more than 30 seconds.  Is there any way to force them to stay on the base for a certain amount of time before they can move on?

    Has the training skill been changed / nerfed?  Playing as dwarves and my usual strategy of having all my companions do training first but I get barely any training points at end of day with an army of mostly basic level dwarves.  Especially the Iron Hills miners(?).  I'll have a stack of them and only like 1 will be able to upgrade after day ends.  I've noticed the dale are alot easier to train but I was gonna try to use mostly dwarves but nearly impossible to train them to higher tiers with the training skill.  Probably have between 20-30 training between all my companions and myself atm.

    Thanks for continuing to work on this and adding improvements.  Really like the ranks needed for promotion in reports.

    Edit:  Just finished Dwarf campaign.  Really nice work.  Seems like it's come a long way just in last 6 months.  Hardly any script errors and crashes.  I like how there are quests now to take out the last stand Isengard army.  Cool playthrough.  Rohan fell first then Gondor and the north finally cleaned them all up.

    One other minor bug / annoyance.  For some reason when I use the F1 twice and hold F1 to bring up the Flag positioning to tell groups to hold position in a certain spot they will run way way far away from where I told them to stand.  I use it alot and it did work before in this mod.  Not sure what changed.  Sometimes it seemed to work but especially like Cavalry group would end up like all the way to the back wall behind me when I would tell them to stand to the side a little ways away.

    But other than that was a smooth play thru and they sieged quite nicely.

    Any way you can redesign some of those Giants armor especially Chieftain's Armor and there was another variety I can't remember name.  There is no way to use a bow properly with them on because the back of it blocks your ability to aim and see where the arrow went to adjust your shots.  Tried first and third person and it just makes it unbearable to use a bow :sad:  and it's the best armor for giants that blocks aiming the most.

    I noticed it earlier on a different armor piece that covers alot of the right arm side.

    The human lord in Sut faction King Bullius never has more than like 30 max party and I've been with Sut Giants since beginning of game.

    There seems to be a bug with paying rent to landowners.  I'm getting less money now with more acres.  Not sure the formula for that but in description it says 778 aurums per acre every week.  I've never gotten close to that and that seems alot but I use to get like 3578 or so when I had 30 to 40 acres.  But when I went to 50 I got like 700 total a week and now I'm at 60 acres of land in Sut town and I get about 72 aurums total for the whole week.

    Well that's the thing, I've never gotten the scrolling issue disappearing until this game and haven't had the script errors like I've had in previous games.  Sometimes the fight isn't even that big and it just disappears and won't come back till I restart game but I'll check out the newest nightly when I'm done with this game and start the next.

    I played this game without it on but have had a great game with practically 0 script errors.  In 3.3 and my first game of 3.5 where I played good races.  Elves and Rohan I never had the crashing and I always had morale on.  Only after that last nightly before I started the new game with goblin is when I started getting it.  My next game will be with elves or dwarves and I'll test it out again with it on. 

    I've had the occasional aux script error like maybe 3 times total at beginning of a fight.    I like the trolls working again.  In the last couple games they didn't seem to be attacking but just soaking up dmg till they died.  Now they wiping out stacks of enemies :smile:  It's been fun sometimes watching them climb a ladder on a siege and take out stacks of defenders and let the gobbies pour in lol.

    My FPS does seem to be alot better than before in bigger battles and i'm using tons of warg / skirmisher troops.

    One other issue I've had 3 or 4 times is I've been losing the scrolling dmg / text log during battles and have to save the game and restart before it will come back.  Is that a memory leak issue?  (I've never had that problem before in any previous games)

    But all in all it's much improved experience and my Great Goblin character is now fighting the final war with Mordor for control of middle earth  :party:

    On a added feature note :smile:  I started playing Perisno and noticed they have a feature that I've always wanted in Mount and Blade that really annoying.    It would be nice especially for evil goblin side when we have to get alot of prisoners.  They have a hotkey where you press Ctrl + A and click Capture and it takes all prisoners you can carry.  Instead of holding ctrl and having to capture each stack one by one.  Not sure how hard that would be to do.

    A minor nuisance is when talking to prisoners to ahem 'eat' is they will just say something like they won't dare run away and I won't get the dialogue to slaughter them.  Resets after ever battle mostly.  I was going into the view camp and prisoners and talking to them there then exiting and it worked again but I've found just talking to one of my party members real quick then talking to a prisoner will get it working again so it's not really a big issue.

    Glad it's helping.  I kinda pimped my goblin out and went thru this game quick but it's been fun.

    It's a wierd error cause they all seem to be there at start of battle and there not that many just 44 deserter Dunnish Wolf Guard with there smaller pet wolves.  It doesn't happen to all of them but I'll get those animation script errors and by the end of battle when I can't see what they trying to hit I can do view screen and it'll show 10-15 enemies still around but if I do Tab to retreat I'll get the loot screen most likely cause they're just wolves left.

    Started new game with newest nightly and the script errors are nearly non existant :smile:

    Once I got south though and fighting some deserter Dunnish Wolf Guard between Isengard and Rohan.  There is some animation bug with them that causes them to go invisible and then can't be killed nearly even though my army keeps trying.

    I think it might be the wolves that has the problem.  Not positive though, and if I Tab out after everything I can see is dead it says I retreated but then gives me the Prisoner screen, loot window and exp for winning.

    Yes.  I zipped that up right after I crashed to desktop.  No error message.  Just says program stopped working.

    The bottom of the log has all the script errors I get during the battle but nothing regarding a morale issue but I'll never crash with morale off.

    First fight after starting new game. Crash with Battle Morale on and doesn't with it off.  Just started a Goblin default of Mt Gundabad.  Pimped me out and gave me troops.  Started war.  They sieged Woodelf West Camp and we were met with just King Thranduil's Host.  Crashed around same time about 75% or close to end of battle with battle morale on.

    Using 1.172 of Warband with 3.5 and nightly 4.27.18_r2606.

    With the same nightly?  It doesn't really happen till after the war starts and usually I think when fighting lord armies or I see a new nightly 2607.    Does that have a potential fix in it for the crash?

    What's the best way to support your faction? Fighting the enemy, doing quests? Training troops? not joining in on seiges and instead abusing the auto-resolve result because otherwise mordor'd never beat gondor?

    Training troops is a very good way to help protect your faction centers.  I just have 3 heroes this game with training on 2 or so on each and myself and can train up Guldabad forces pretty quickly.  Lost 2 centers before I realized I should be dropping forces to buff up centers.  Now they never get attacked with 500+ on each the remaining 3.

    Well I did alot more testing with turning all the AI stuff off and all Battlefield AI options off and it still crashed until I turned off Battle Morale system.  I quit and reloaded and only turned off Battle Morale and I've played 5 or 6 times thru this battle without crashing where if I have it on it will crash every battle randomly either near the middle to end of the first phase of battle or in the 2nd phase fighting the remaining 200 troops.  I reloaded after testing 4 or 5 runs with it off then turned it back on and first try crashed in 2nd phase.

    Pretty confident it must be something to do with Battle Morale for whatever reason.

    I'm playing with Gundabad this time and getting different script warning that scrolls pretty often in alot of battles.

    Got the team tactics script error a few times still but not near as much as last game.

    I'm getting alot of CTD's this game for some reason.  Mostly fighting Beornings.  I was in alot bigger battles last game with no crashes at all.  An odd one here or there but almost every battle with a hero beornings and I CTD somewhere thru almost mid way thru the fight.  I've even turned down all textures and 120 battle size.

    For some reason the map size is so tiny in this area around mirkwood elves and beornings area.  400+ armies smashed into arrow length of each other.

    Something is definately causing it to crash besides memory.  This time still trying to get thru same battle I got an error message with the CTD saying Incorrect skeleton type for anim 425.  RGL Error

    No I don't think they have blunt weapons except fists but they should be like archers and put away bows and use there fists.  I don't use the weapon orders.  Just do a Everyone command then F3, and F3 again to use only blunt weapons.  They the only ones that keep using there bows.  Archers will put them away and punch (blunt dmg).

    Just ran into a very strange bug.  I got a quest to investigate Fangorn Forest from Isengard Sarumon.  So I went there and ran thru the forest killing Ent's till I got quest complete but I lost so many men and was deep in forest so I thought I'd do it better and reloaded before I entered, but this time when I got close to fangorn it went into what I thought was some sort of cutscene with a human archer just in shorts was firing arrows at a couple ents.  I watched this for like 5 minutes and then the game crashed to desktop with error message saying "Incorrect skeleton type for anim 559. 

    I'm gonna reload and hopefully won't keep getting it now.  Well after I reloaded it was fine and I finished quest  although for some reason it only had me and one of my companions aloud into battleground this time instead of my full army I was using.

    I personally like the range at which people can join.  It helps with allies joining battles as well especially with the extra patrol / scout parties that lag behind as well as lords.

    A bug I've noticed that last game and this game is that Skirmisher cavalry units don't obey the 'Use only blunt weapons command' and end up killing my spy handler quest.  Not sure if that's fixable and probably part of native.  I can turn off weapon's use completely for cavalry but it's kind of annoying.

    Well I started new game with latest nightly.  Almost lvl 8 and no script errors so far :smile:  I like how you added the # Rally's in the corner of battle screen.  Playing first time as evil race with newly reincarnated Great Goblin of Northern Gundabad.  We'll see how it goes.  Already had a mutiny and got killed by my own goblin army then he took half of my men with him  :mrgreen:  Goblin's love there man flesh.
  18. B Medieval Medieval Conquests

    I just started this mod and having issues with the looting / autoequipping feature.  If I do Equip companion they will equip worse armor gear and then switch back to other gear if I press it again. 

    If I do 'Access the item pool' then I can't have my companions take the gear and continue.  Shouldn't the 'Return' button take you back the the 'Access the item pool' / 'Let NPCs to collect all the items left and continue' screen?  I don't see how I can check the loot I got and still have companions take the loot I don't want in my inventory.  When I press 'Return' it closes and any loot left is lost I assume.

    If I tell the companions to take the loot and continue it seems lost unless I set auto sell too sell everything no matter what price (by setting a huge ceiling for selling off stuff) cause I don't see any way to access it anymore?  This feature reminds me of Silverstag's way of doing it but most mods will have a Mod option to access the pooled  inventory of all companions and then you can see what they are holding and even add to it from your inventory then tell them to equip themselves from that screen and set the options for how they equip themselves.

    I've checked mod options and tried talking to the companions but neither have a way to access inventories to see / recover any items they are holding.  Am I missing something?

    Also where you set the way the companions should equip themselves all the 'Apply to everyone' buttons are 'broken'?  It's not a button to click just text.

    What's the deal with bow archers.  They hardly ever shoot to the point I thought they didn't have arrows.  I grabbed some Welsh mercenary archer's and most fights they just stand there doing nothing.  I was about to post they didn't have arrows but this last fight they actually shot some off and on.  But mostly stood there.

    Gondor will get pummeled pretty hard and fast if you don't help them with battles and defend some centers if your in the southern lands.  My first game I played in the northern lands as elf and gondor got wiped out and then Rohan nearly got wiped out before we got down there to help.

    My second game I played as Rohan and did alot for Gondor early and ranked up and mostly helped them when they needed it.  If you rank up in Gondor to friend you'll be notified now when a center of there's is attacked and use scouts / forager / patrol parties when you can get them and then reinforce them with your men and keep training more.  Then you'll have like 3 armies and if you wait till one of your followers is attacked they don't get autojoined by everyone around them so it's easier to take out armies.

    Ah didn't know about that page.  So those commits are actually what's been changed for nightly of that day?  Wish I had that warg fix with my games.  They loved to take like half my health each jump and made no sound.  I think I died more times to wargs than anything else.  Might try a new game soon and play a northern evil faction.

    I was rank 9 and 10 with both Roham and Gondor and I'd have 1 patrol in group and tried to ask a forager to join and it said it seems I already have max followers.  I'm pretty sure I couldn't even get scouts to join anymore at all even though it said I could use 2 of them I believe and only had the 1 patrol with me.  Like you said I should of been able to have 4 followers max and I wanted to mix them with 1 patrol and 1 forager from each faction .  I never had more than 2 at any point cause it would never let me.  I think because I had asked scouts earlier and they left but I don't think it ever gave me back those empty spots for scouts and they must of never died.  At one point I tried getting a Gondor forager when I only had a Roham patrol with me and I had almost max rank with both factions already and it said I was full. 

    My previous forager was hanging out back at a Roham center after he left me and then my Roham patrol joined him at the same place when he left.  Found them both there not moving and I knew they were mine cause one had 100 and the other had like 70 that I was reinforcing them along the way.

    Is the nightly builds at bitbucket.org/swyter the same as the Steam nightlies?  I use GoG and downloaded the latest nightly R2592 on 4/20 before my last game but wanted to test out and see if some of the script errors were fixed that they said were fixed in the latest version.  I see there have been a couple of updates since then.
