    I released Sir Rayne as a vassal. Does it mean no more Knights of the Falcon for me? Also, I have Sir Roland and Sir Jocelyn in my party... should they make it possible to establish their own knightly orders? And who is Madame Ursula? Never heard of her.

    I have a problem with knightly orders in 3.42. I joined the Kingdom of Ravenstern, became the marshal and won my first castle: Ironoak. When I got enough money, I founded the Order of the Dragon which was quite logical at the time since I could recruit Raventsern Nobles from my castle. Some time later, I conquered Windholm, got it for myself and founded the Order of the Falcon which was the only choice in the town. Next, I conquered Javiksholm and got that one for myself as well. Javikholm already had Lady Valkyries order founded. A little later, I declared independence and chose Pendor culture for my kingdom. I gave Windholm to one of my vassals and left on Javiksholm, Ironoak Castle and a couple of villages for myself. I wanted to dismantle the Lady Valkyiries in Javiksholm in order to replace it with the Order of the Falcon since I could only recruit Pendor Nobles now, but the only option in the town was the Lady Valkyries. Next, I tried to similarly replace my Order of the Dragon in Ironoak Castle with Order of the Falcon, but when I dismantled the existing order there were no options to found a new one. Actually, there was the option to found an order but there were no orders in the next menu.

    What is happening in my game? What do I need to do to get the Order of the Falcon? Do I need another castle or town without an order or is it forever lost for me because I already founded it in Windholm?

    Anyone have the hidden 1.011 M&B Patch?

    There were multiple versions of 1.011. I've been playing 1.011 since it came out and I've never had more than 32 troop slots until Cyclo mentioned the hidden patch.

    Is there any hotfix to deal with the unlimited number of Defensor de Deus spawned by the Black Cathedral? I've beaten them down to a single castle but it is being defended by 75 Defensor de Deus. I've gathered all my lords but I still can't take the castle. Our whole army doesn't have enough arrows and bolts to kill those 75 guys, even when they are all fired by me, and they are unbeatable in melee.

    Sorry i don't have the skill and the time for doing that, i'm not a scripter, i can copy/paste/modify the script but nothing more.(At the begining 2year  ago i want just do some banner)

    Maybe I can help you with that once you get the project off the ground, unless you recruit some scripter with more spare time. Once you have troops, map, items, graphics and other stuff ready and the first beta released, hopefully I will be able to set aside some time to add some unique features to the mod. ASoIaF mod definitely deserves to be more than just a retexture of Native.

    Damn, I love HRE. Looking forward for the first release.

    How are you going to do the troops? All factions, except maybe Bohemia, belong to the same culture group. There is a risk of the mod being boring because of the low variety of troops :sad:

    Some ideas:

    HRE parliaments and elections with real scenes, not just a GUI like marshall elections in Native.

    Possibility for player to become a leader of his own faction, to gain higher titles and eventually become an Elector and an Emperor. Possibility to join the church and become Bishop-Prince.

    Mercenary bands that may be hired by lords, like in Prophesy of Pendor. There should be enough historical data on historical mercenaries in HRE and I doubt many people will complain if you include mercenaries from other periods of history. Some foreign mercs from neighboring regions would also be nice (Italian, French, Polish, Scandinavian, etc)

    It's not working for me. Maybe you or whoever reminded you about the patch should post in the support thread or try to contact Taleworlds. I hope we might see 1.020 patch in the near future :smile:

    Cyclohexane, it's not another hidden patch. They just reverted to an old version. I posted a screenshot showing that it is exactly the same file as the one I already have on my hard drive. The dialog bug you mentioned must have been a new bug the new patch introduced and probably a reason why they pulled it back.

    I'm currently testing some different files I managed to find. For now, I tested the patch I found on Paradox ftp that is slightly larger than the one available from Taleworlds. If you are interested, you can double check. You can find the patch on

    Just go into old games directory and then into mount&blade. There should be a patch directory in there with a single patch inside.

    If the file opens up and installs without error, and the file you have is from the taleworlds site. Then you all have the latest patch. Cyclohexane you really need to defragment your hardrive.

    Computica, I've downloaded both the patch and the full setup. I tried to update the 1.011 version I have installed and to do fresh install and my troop limit is still 32. I've posted a screenshot of compare by content between the full setup file I downloaded and the one I already had and was using to play M&B for years with 32 troop slots. The screenshot means that the two files are the same, bit to bit. Please defragment your own drive if you think it helps, download the latest version from taleworlds, install it and check if you have the 32 troop slots limit before suggesting that serious people are wrong because of something as stupid as drive fragmentation.

    You know, if that's the case, it would be great if someone who still has the secret version setup could share it with the community.

    It is possible that Talewords and/or Paradox have realized that removal of troop type limits is one of the major improvements in single player gameplay that Warband offers over the old M&B.  :???:

    I've tried both, and nothing works. My troop type limit is still 32 types. The full version is of exactly the same size as the full version I already had: 380.8 MB

    Does this patch remove the troop type limit in the game engine for all modules or does it just enable SoD to work without troop type limit?

    I've downloaded and installed the patch. Testing it with another mod and the troop type limit is still in place.

    I like those swords. Any suggestions on how to call the items that use those models? Are they based on historical swords or pure fantasy?
