    Question about balance

    Thank you for a reply but you must've misunderstood my question entirely. I was not concerned about the situation with East Engla. And to be honest I know all the tricks you've described. The main problem in my post was to figure out how could my castle get captured in only one-two days with 700 troops garrisoned while other factions sometimes struggle for a week to overtake a castle with only 150~ soldiers garrisoned.

    Well those bugs were adressed more to the community rather than developers. Judging by the reports I'm pretty much the only person to experience all that. I've seen a meme about similar problem with texture sheet replacement where the whole sky were replaced by some guy's face but nobody ever gave a solution to that. Also there's a common bug with cows on the water which appears to have the same roots. But again, no fix given.

    And I wouldn't say this mod is dead, the guy who ported it to steam workshop (not sure if he has something to do with dev team) and actively replies to bug reports. Not to mine, sadly. There's also s "to-do" list about upcoming changes and it's been updated in early 2019 I think.

    Star Wars Conquest Mod for M&B 1.x and M&B Warband

    Came across some nasty bugs and nobody's answering me for some reason. I doubt it's a mod bugs, more likely something messed up in my particular case. Installation as you said: first mod, then compatibility, then night's patch.

    - Floating texture sheets instead of sun. They change dimentions as a regular sun's reflection would. This one is really pissing me off, please help me fix it.

    - Blank trees textures. They just appear as a white sheets but that blocks the vision sight for the player... but not for mobs. Nastiest above all others.

    - Stormtrooper's helmet texture messed up on DirX7. It works just fine on DirX9. I already faced such problem with another texture in Gekokujo but none was able to help me. This one isn't that critical but I'd like to fix it as well.

    About wounds, wanted to post this myself but Gaedheal got ahead. I also suggest you make a button to turn whole feature off and make and adjust an option to keep track of your wounds for people who want to play with it on like other mods with realistic wounds does have. Somewhere in the camp menu. As of right now my agility skill decresed from 15 to 6 somehow (overall, not instantly) and there's no chance I know if I'm still wounded and hope a portion of agility to be restored or I should just have to rise it up again myself. Also coloring wounds related messages would be a good idea since I always miss the moment I get wounded/recovered. Hopefully I'm not the only one.

    Something weird is going pn with upgrade paths in troop trees for some clans:
    Ryuzoji archers have incorrect upgrade path which results in Uma Yumi to be upgraded from Hatamoto.

    Noticed there's no such unit as Ikko Ikko Nobori Bearer although Ikko Ikki Nobori is present among items. Was it intended to be or somebody forgot to make a bearer?

    Half of ashigaru and archer units from Saito have a gunshi gusoku armor.

    Almost every lord I fought so far had around 5-10 Experienced Shinobi in their army and if your looting skill is high there's a good chance you will get shinobi items. I suggest you hunt down lords with less than 50 men in party since they most likely to have more mercenaries in their ranks. I once fought a lord who only had 28 units alive and 7 of them were experienced shinobi and with 5 in looting skill I got their armor, helmet and ninjato after battle.

    I do use Directx7. You telling me there's no way to fix this for directx7? What about other armor texture that looks fine?
    I would love to use directx9 but my laptop finds it quite challenging to maintain warband (150 base battle size and lowest settings) atleast on 20 fps. So I either "enjoy" 30 units cap but solid fps or pick up battles to immidiately turn and face the opposite direction so it doesn't end up slide-show mod.

    Almost one third of retainers armor texture is bugged. Any way to fix that? Whole Date clan looks like moving grass. Half of lords in some clans wear those. Every Yukino****a armor I found so far have this issue along with some other retainer armor.

    1st of all as many people here tend to say - You've done a great job continuing updating this mod and I heartily enjoyed playing it. I really like anything related to Sengoku era and to my shame I somehow missed this mod even though I play Warband and it's mods since it's release. But now I found it and turns out it's the best WB mod I ever played. Keep up the good work and good luck improving it!
    I'm not really into any modding stuff but I genuinely want to help you by reporting bugs I have found so far :smile:

    [*]A scene for some villages is messed up: the whole area is flooded and houses're "floating" above the water and all NPC is actually at the bottom so you have to dive in to find and talk to them. If battle takes place is such villages the enemy forces spawn at the opposite side of the water and it takes quite a long time to cross the village for them so you can just rain-arrow them down without any casualties. I've found 2 villages with this scene so far and I can find them again and make some screenshots if you want
    [*]Uwajima Castle scene also messed up badly. Ruined my Rescue a prisoner quest because there's no dungeon...
    [*]When participating in tournamets there's always a one passive NPC participant on the ring per team which can't be interacted with, they just stand still.

    Is there any way to devide gunners and archers from skirmishers? I don't like my skirmisher division to contain both and would like to have 2 different divisions controled separately.

    I find this feature absolutely disbalancing. The crucial part of the game is to locate and chase lords to take/give quests as well as to ask anything including other lords whereabouts. This feature cuts your traveling time in 2/3. Completed a quest but the questgiver got captured? No problem, just "send a messenger" right in his cell to complete it and get your reward. You also can start a quest whenever you want by harrassing the whole list. In my 1st attempt to talk with a lord I was in the field between Kyoto and Nara and Mogami Lord gave me the quest to assassinate a spy in Nara... but the script which scrolls time untill you encounter a spy didn't work and the quest turned out to be initially impossible to complete. This is just my opinion about that feature, I myself won't use it as long as I'm not in charge of a faction (only then it makes sence). Maybe you can think about tweaking it a bit? Like exclude some dialog options such as asking for quests or delivering your demands.

    Depends of the Nation to be honest. Pictish Spearmen are better than Norse for instance, their 1st tier peasants already have a more deadliest spears than Norse Elite Spearmen as well as the greater reach. But they lack armour.

    My own experience tells me that spearmen work perfectly in shield walls and sucks at other formations. So I order my spearmen so stay right behind the infantry, making some sort of squared-shield-wall allowing to infantry take some direct damage while spearmen can attack through and make some slash (not sure but It looks like AI is using the same tactics =X)

    Yea I know it's looted but as I mentioned I've spent one in-game month searching those villages and when I once again came to that village with 1 or so days left before quest expires it was surrounded with forces of Alban (or West Seaxe) fiercely raiding it. But last 13 times I visited it there were no signs of deserter.

    Can I ask your help once I get stuck with that quest again? :3

    If that may help the village elder will give you a hint if the deserters is actually in his village, something like : "I did hear some lyre sounds lately". Instead of searching every village down you can just head to him first and make sure you're in the right place.

    I already wrote that I know about their special phrase but never seen it and that's why I thought there is something fishy about it or just went wrong.

    No problems here, I was just curious. And yes, why Pagan lords don't touch abbeys?

    Also I have some questions and reports:
    1) Once in a while I had an ale delivery quest for Ynys Mon but once I stepped on that island Ynys Mons located at I got blessed by my King's honor who wished to see me as his marshal. Without a second thought I accepted it and soon found myself completaly cornered. The obvious way out for me lied throught a ferry station. But it turned out that the game doesnt let you use it's services as long as you remain marshal and it don't care if you started campaign or not, it just keep telling you "the ferry station is too small and can't transport a marshal and his whole army" even though nobody was accompanying me. As it turned out even more - the shipwright also refused a request of transporting my humble party to another port stating that he doesn't have any ships which can take a marshal with an army. So the only option for me was simply buying the ship and get out of that trap. But at my best fortune the shipwright was unable to sell me any ship during all my marshal's services. What to do in situations like these? I know there was a cheat method but still, It would be nice if you guys could improve the ferry stations' system such as allowing you to transport throught it with a caravan or being a marshal as well as allowing use "travel to another port" option since all the lords can travel on sea freely without even buying a ship unlike player.
    2) Again with ferry stations - you gotta do something with boars using transportation services)))
    3) It would make sence if you add a spoilage for Boar Meat.
    4) Is there any way to equip your companions who gave oath to you and now belongs to your kingdom? I cannot seems to find that option in dialog screen, I can take a look at their skills but not on their equipment. Has this feature been included or am I maybe just blind?)
    5) Is it possible to change a troop class for lords from infantry on cavalry? All lords I've seen so far were mounted but once you lead them in battle being a marshal yourself you can see that they belong to infantry which often leads to their falling in battle providing a morale decrease.

    And finally: I really enjoyed your hunt feature, well done out there but do you plan on adding more animals to hunt? Like deers or foxes? Creating an unique fur item for each animal would also be nice, for example - if you succesfully hunt foxes (who's very tricky) you scavenge their furs instead of meat and that fur would be much valuable than a common fur item. Furthermore it will give a players a reason to learn and keep bows in their inventory (not to mention shooting while crouched).

    P.S. a quick question - is there any thread for suggestions on improving your mod? I might give you some ideas  :wink:

    I've seen some pagans patrolling near their... forgot that word... near their shrines? But I never seen one, all special "white" locations I visited on map was Christians Abbeys and that leads me to another questions: every faction have atleast 1 abbey within it's lands and, as you guys already know, pillaging it will cause a relation detoriation among all nearby settlements and fraction. But number of those abbeys is ridiculous since some factions like Northhymbre are pagans and always chase all christian units on map but doesnt touch their abbeys in reach and even allowing it's existance but when you pillage one nearby they end up hating you! It doesnt make sense! I can understand detoriation among villages and cities nearby (helping each other or something) but why even whole faction relationship is affected?
