Heya everyone,
Thanks again to everyone for helping to debug this version.  Just a few notes on what's intended vs. what may be happening.

-You should be able to make Sir Vincent a lord, but he has been a thorn in my side: It seems now he won't replenish his army once beaten.  I'll fix that.  Let me know if there are any other troubles with him.

-The main story line should unfold on it's own if you continue to play and take over castles.  Some events will not happen till you've taken over most of the map.  If  you have a story that you think is broken, upload your savegame and send me a PM with a link.  From what I've read, most people just haven't played long enough into the game to see much more of the story.

-If your catapult is dropping rocks, or exploding before thrown, try turning your graphics down.  The catapults depend on in-game physics and may require more upper end performance.

the quartermaster should restock, but it's slow.  I'll probably make this faster in the next update.

The sound bug is very vexing.  We tried many different ways to fix this, converted all the sounds to .wav, then to .ogg, then a mix.  We did manage to reproduce the bug on my machine, which it turns out was this:
My G15 keyboard is running windows media player in the background.  I hit control-alt delete and disable WMPSideShowGadget.exe and wmplayer.exe.
It fixed the random crashes for me.  If you don't have these programs running, check these options:

All the sound files have been converted to standard M&B .ogg files.

Working on trying to get some of the bugs fixed.  Duracell, can you pm me some info on the bug(s) you've gotten with the village elder?

sorry for the abscence, real life n all. 
Sorry for all the bugs, I expect more as time goes by, as many of the changes are mid to late game. 
Along those lines, I could use some help from someone who has the random crash bug.  If someone can try this:
open module.ini
change
scan_module_sounds = 1
scan_module_music = 0
save that and see if the module still crashes.
If it does, try the reverse:
scan_module_sounds = 0
scan_module_music = 1
save and see if that crashes the game.
In short I'm trying to see if it's the sound or music that is causing the failure.  Fawzia and I have poured over the sound files  and aren't able to find anything that would cause the crash, so if someone can do this for me, it would help narrow things down.  I'll work on a fix for the other bugs that hopefully will ne save game compatible.

Thanks for all the bug reports.  Sadly I'm out of town and can't do much till I get back. 
Gerhart, try switching to the default chariot by talking to a horse vendor.  Should fix it till I can fix that code.

Chiksika n those having trouble declaring, have you gone to the palace?  Try that if you haven't.

Prince of Neon, I think you must have a corrupt copy, redownload and delete old copies of the mod.

Sorry for the bugs, we're working hard to get rid of em.

I'll probably bump up the camping bonus...thanks Chiksika.  I might do some other adjustments for morale.

uploaded version .91 with a quick fix for those who are having crashes.  Hopefully this will fix it.  Please delete the old folder before installing the new one.  If your not having any issues, you don't need this version.

And you can throw spears at your  horse to make it faster without the "if you hit it too often it will be slower"

Thanks for the update Waldemmar.  I'll see if I can fix some of the chariot race bugs.  I'm not sure what you mean by chariotbag.  If you mean the ammo refill, just buy that option, and when you run out of ammo, you are given one refill.  Hope that helps.

Did anyone try the patch and get it to work? 

Well, the assumption I'm working off is that some sound cards are having trouble with the sound formats when played in the game.  Others shouldn't have trouble with them.  My assumption is if you can play M&B, you should be able to play this mod, or I've done something wrong. 

Dzorror, drop them into the module folder so they replace the files, or simply replace the sound folder with the new one and also replace sounds.txt

Ok, I think I know what's causing the crashes.  I hope I have them fixed, but I need someone who has the problem to download this small patch and test it out.  This is a temp upload with a limited number of downloads, so please only download this if you have the random crash bug, then please update or PM me so I know if I've fixed it:

There is a tutor in the Imperial palace in the great hall.  (not available till about mid game)

It should take quite a while for Sir Vincent to show up, he will though.  Be patient, do some quests, meet a nice girl....

Sorry, I'm out of town.  I'll be home tonight.  My hunch at this problem is that it's related to sound compatibility.  My sound program is old, and I think it might be that.  M&B seems to be sensitive to sound related issues.  I'll work on it tonight, sorry, and thanks for all the work trying to figure it out, helped me rule out some things.

You can only give troops to lords who have very few, (less than 50 if memory serves).  This may need tweeking up a bit.

Values (variables) in M&B are stored in order.  If you add one, you change all the one's following it.  Long explanation short, if you change anything, you may get unpredictable results, the game will have all sorts of bugs, even after you talk to Sir Vincent.  A new skill was added, charioteer, which will cause problems with imports.

Imported characters will cause all sorts of bugs.  You'll need to start with a new character, sorry.

This version is pretty much the complete story line...please don't post any sensitive info without a spoiler.  It's also geared to get harder as you progress.  This may require some fine tuning. 
This version should work with graphic enhancement mod, but not panoramic, more metal sounds.  If you run into compatible ones, please post it, as well as any incompatible ones.

It would be possible, it would take more work than it's worth imo

As I have it at this point, you no longer fall off the chariot.  You can still move around on it, but you don't fall off.  You can still jump off, you just have to make sure and hit your jump button (spacebar).  Personally, I think it's a huge improvement.

The upcoming release has an imperial quartermaster who will sell those items to you, they aren't cheap however.
Fawzia has just written a whole series of very interesting and fun quests that I think everyone will really enjoy.  Back to work.
