    Defenders dont get on the siege tower to kill me.

    It's not a bug, there standing there to wait to attack a flood of you're guy's, it's the most effective tactic avaliable since chasing you around would leave them open to attack. Standard medieval tactic.

    They also tend to have archers. Play on a higher A.I. level and you'll find that there tactic is far more effective.

    i got voted in as marshal for my kingdom. at first everything was working fine, lords would follow me and join me on castle raids and open field battles, now for some reason they wont join me on beseiging a castle. ive tried raiding 3 different castles. all my men are always very close to me, half of them are right next to me standing inside the icon of the castle itself. nothing distracts my party (no enemy caravans, other parties, bandits, etc.) while their waiting for me to construct a seige method. i havent tried doing any open field battles against enemy parties yet, but im doubtful they would join.

    my honor is very low (i keep over 15 lords and kings locked up in my dungeon and never set them free) but my friendship with most of the lords is ok.

    is this a bug? what should i do?

    ive searched help but found nothing.

    It's not a glitch, move so you're following lords are actually inside the map graphic for the castle you wish to raid, then click and siege it. It should work then, perhaps.

    Problem, May be due to Vista

    Try lowering the system settings for M&B, most notably, shadows. Also check all the connectors on you're computer.

    Alternatively, download a new map and try that. Also try defraging and leaving at least 2 gigs of space in your C drive, Vista seem's to perform better with a little extra space avaliable to work with in the main O.S. installation directory.

    Performance issues

    I'm starting to think that M&B uses direct draw, in which case it's probably an issue with Direct Draw. Both nvidia and ATI have offically stopped supporting direct draw in the latest batch of patches for the latest cards. Which leads me to believe M&B has issues with Direct Draw. These issues must have been implemented after 1.00, as when I was running .980 I had no issues at all with Vista, slowdown, crashes or otherwise.

    BSOD, Freezing, CTD

    Right click on the shortcut, and try running it in compatability mode, disable the theme's. I also have Vista x64 O.S. and it has the same issues. It's likely an issue with Vista or x64 systems.

    There are a few things that bother me greatly about the mod so far. The moredhel for example. There simply humans with a brown tint over top of them. Um, the elves look a lot more, errrr, elvish. Elves generally don't look like human's with pointy ear's, dispite how some artists portray them.

    Also, if it's possiable, would that La Mut be given to the Kingdom. As La Mut was never lost to the Tsurani in any of the books. It's only beta I know, but thats why I'm saying it now. The whole map....okay I have to be on honest. The tsurani involvement in the mod stabs at my soul personally. I know it's a fan thing, but the Tsurani empire never invaded quite as far as it has on the map. Also Moredhel should probably start in the northland, near the Moredhel stuff, rather then just the troll or goblin.

    Crashes

    ...He's right actually. I've been playing M&B since it's early beta stages and my game also crashes at random intervals. It happens in all mods, and the native game. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64, and I'm starting to think it may have something to do with Vista, probably it's theme's also. A lot of games seem to have issues with theme's in Vista.

    I don't think you needed to insult him or act like a troll either Andiar. As if the TC lowered himself in your eyes, then you have done the same by engaging in a mud slinging match. But the issue does exist, and shouldn't be swept under the rug with bad insults.

    TPW - Bug Reports

    Tried the demo, game starts, bar gets to loading settings and makes it to the menu. I start a game and boom, whole things crashes when loading the map and tells me to contact the applications provider. Only happens with this mod.

    Using Vista 64 Ultimate, Computer can handle native on full settings with Graphical pack and such.


    Edit: Nevermind, I fixed the issue. Needed to be reinstalled.

    Star Wars Conquest Mod for M&B 1.x and M&B Warband

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I've noticed force kill is way over powered. The use doesn't decrease to zero, allowing you to use it infinitely, which is generally bad since it means my guy can wipe out a whole star base single handedly.

    Yes, it was set to 0 however, which if my binary is right, should mean off. However, I simply replaced the ENB with the new HDR ENBseries file from Resident evil 4 and everything is back to normal.

    The way you explained it is incorrect.

    You must extract the files someplace, such as the desktop, then cut and paste the files from the folder to your main M&B directory. The reason for this is that it already contain's a folder pointing to the native directory from the main M&B directory.

    However, while I'm on this note, gutekfiutek, did you make any changes to the ENBseries file that may cause blurryness of movement or such? It seem's to have saturated everything brown and given my game a blurry effect, making it impossiable to read words.

    Yea, Eledhel are fairer beings, like the legalos from LOTR. The Moredhel look exactly like them, except darker features, think the dark elves, darker skin colour (tanned), dark hair colour, dark eye's etc. Glamedhel look exactly like Eledhel, except with wild features and red hair I believe, like wild elves from DnD. The ones from Notherium (I forget the name) have more human like features, except not human, like Wood Elves from DnD I think. The ones Elder from Tsuranni have silver hair, like the moon elves from DnD. No idea about the Star Elves, haven't read the book.

    The difference between clans in the Moredhel is usually that the Deep-Forest Moredhel tend to be trackers and rangers. The Mountain Moredhel tend to be fighters, or savage barbarians, sometimes mountain focused trackers. The Hill and Moss Moredhel are basically all rounders. The only difference in clans is there nature in survival and culture. The Deep Forest Moredhel tend to have a strict code of honour, tribal in nature really, like the Hadati. The Moss Moredhel in contrast don't have any scruples.

    Best books to find out about moredhel are Silverthorn and Darkness over Sethanon. Tsuranni culture and miltary style is best described in the books by Janny Wurts and Mr Feist, Daughter, Servent and Mistress of the Empire. Kesh is best described in Prince of Blood and some of the serpent war saga maybe...


    On Mercs:

    Nighthawks and Panthian Serpent Priests would be a no no. There far to focused to be used as assassins or merc's, rather choosing to be horriable killing machines whom server chaos.
    Perhaps include a Nighthawk or Panthian as a companion avaliable if your loyal to the Moredhel.
    Possiably Mockers would be a good alternative, specialised units only avaliable in Calradia.
    Samatian Pirates could be merc's, they tend to be a sort avaliable for hire to anyone.
    Also Durbin Slavers, from great kesh.
    The Natal rangers wouldn't help any friends of Great Kesh, since Natal is a free city and rebelled against the rule of Great Kesh hundreds of years ago.
    You could add a type of unit by the name of Roldem Duelist. Since Roldem is an Inedpendant Eastern Island kingdom.
    Quegian Slavers or Pirates again.

    Eledhels do use horses, as does Moredhels. The Eledhel have there own horses, the white ones that only an elf or a trusted of the elves can ride. Though they would probably be the only type of calvary, be in a small unit, and be very elite.

    Moredhels have calvary, in Darkness over Sethanon they use them when they attack the warrior fortress in the northlands, the one under the command of an exiled Black Guy. I believe they where likely used by the hill clans of the Moredhel, rather then the Mountain or Forest clans.

    I'm a bit of a Raymond E. Feist fantic and know pretty much all there is to know from every book he's written, except the new one, we in New Zealand have get books way after everyone else.

    Just a note, remember that the different colours of the Tsurani show the different clans. So the green present in the screenshots would be the Acoma, considering that this is set in some warped place where the Tsurani are invading at the same time the Moredhel are invading and the great empire of Kesh invading, then the Acoma would not have a very big presence.

    Your favourite siege engine

    Sappers with there tunnel digging always caught my eye. Seemed like an ingenious method of siege warfare.

    As for my favourite M&B Siege engine. That would have to be the meat grinder ladder. Always fun to watch your mean go up, and come down in a mountain of corpses.
