What factors make them likely to join the Nords?  I probably have especially bad relations with them since I have 8 or 9 of their lords rotting in my dundeon.  I'm not the king though.

In my experience we do well on the field of battle as long as we have more than double the number of soldiers than the enemy has cavalry, regardless of how many of any other kinds of units they have.  I'm sure you're better at developing your units than the computer opponents I face, but usually as long as I can avoid the parties that are especially heavy on mounted units I can defeat a larger force with very few casualties.

I haven't fought any Kherigits yet this game but I remember them being the biggest problem when playing as the Nords. 

I've done all these things.  It's not that it hasn't mattered.  We have Suno and 5 or 6 of their castles, and this is right after they've won a series of victories, at our hieght we had Suno and all but their northern most castle (I forget the name).  What I don't know how to do is stop one of their campaignes single handedly.  When they get all their lords together I've never been able to break a seige.  I've had trouble holding on to castles too.  Otherwise I'd just round up their lords and throw them in my dungeon to rot.

Okay thanks.  I just get frustrated with my faction, I thought being marshall would help.  We're Nords, we've been at war with the Swadians the whole game (400+ days) and in the big picture we have been getting the better of them throughout the war, but the other lords still haven't followed through with our victories the way we ought to.  Once we get some momentum going the campaigne ends and the Swadians start regaining some ground.  Any tips?

Yeah, I did it with the Wizard at least one of the two time.  I got the messages, I just thought I might have missunderstood something, because I know I got out with Ragner alive at least one, I believe twice, although maybe one time he died while I was running to the stairway and I didn't notice.

Oh, could it have been the Genie glitch?  Is it safe to summon the genie before opening the cell?

Just see him and then get out with him alive?  I think I've done that twice.  Does the game just not acknowledge that I've completed the quest because there's no third quest yet?  If not I must have done something wrong, but I'm not sure what.  I'm 100% sure that he was still alive, and in the room with the staircase, at least one of the times.

Hi, I've been ejoying this mod, but I'm stuck on the end of the second quest.  I can defeat the monsters but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with Ragnar in order to win the quest.  I know that I'm supposed to rescue him, but exactly what does that entail?  I get him to the starting room and nothing happens.
