I thought I gave you quite a good answer, but you're right, there's always room for improvement:
1. the developers DID NOT RELEASE the -ing mod system YET
2. (that is the main reason why everybody keeps telling you that he module system isn't out)
3. some worthy people are modding what they can by using the good old-fashioned technique of editing text or hex files
Better? I'm sure I can still improve on it, if need be...

Seriously, though, an arabic faction would be great, but they would have to ride camels to be reeeeally sexy (btw, I -ing hate horses, but I enjoyed riding camels last time I went touring Maghreb, so camels would be ok for me )!

As much as I detest religious strife, I do think the obviously deliberate avoidance of overt religious references was a mistake on Armagan's part. Like it or not, religion and religious struggles were very much a part of everyday life in the middle ages, and their absence detracts from the atmosphere and immersion of the game IMO.

I agree with your observation, but I believe this is an issue left to modders to implement...

I am mainly disappointed with the economic system: seeing the goods you are selling drop in price WHILE you sell them is quite ridiculous (IMO, price should decrease later on, as a result of demand/offer equilibrium)... and anyway I still find that there's plenty enough cash to be raised in the game without bothering trading goods, which is a waste in my opinion: it would have been splendid to alter the power balance by carefully wrecking one city's economy or by imposing embargoes on cities and nations, which would have given a totally different flavour to the merchant characters.

Cheers! well, this really puts the crown on 3 years and 2 months of assiduous playing... at a mean playig time of 2 hours/week, that's more or less 330 hours: THIS is what I call "long-lasting appeal"!

Care to tell everyone what exactly seems to be your problem?

Standing in the midst of your companions is a sure way to shoot the back of their heads: they have the tendency to stand still up to the moment in which they throw themselves right in front of your arrow/bolt/axe!
I fondly remember when the AI was so crappy interesting that Marnid and Borcha were constantly shooting ME in the back of the head while I butchered the enemy

Really, you just need to tell them to stand ground and then move in front of them, or to the side, to have a clear view of the enemy. Telling them to stand apart also helps.

I only get knocked down regularly in the arena, where the practice weapons do blunt damage... never experienced/dealt it with cutting weapons in normal combat.

Socratically, noone fully aware of their actions can act "badly", because they would see the consequences of their actions and their effect on themselves and the others; therefore a bad guy is, if not stupid, at least not aware of the consequences of his actions, which can arguably amount to the same thing... sorry for the OT but the bait was strong!

I personally found quite annoying the fact that in Fable everyone around me was always trying to get my attention: they forced me to become evil and see them suffer!

But a tangible effect of reputation while walking around cities would be cool...

I fail to see how you can assume that "practicly dead" mod threads can be used to post inane and, worse, off-topic comments... as always, if you don't have anything relevant to contribute to the thread, why post at all?
I DO care about this mod, and all the work Smaug put on it... since he said it's delayed until further notice, I am willing to believe him; even if it's never resumed again, I don't like to see the thread used as a trashcan...
