i do option 1 and a little bit of option 4 but usually what i do is get my archers onto a hill or a forest or anyother places to slow down a calvalry charge and leave them there for a bit then i put my infantry a little bit in front of them.I position my calvalry a little bit to the right because the enemy usually comes for my infantry when they do i take my calvalry and flank them causing some of them to turn around to me and my infantry will kill them from the backs usually works when the enemy army is almost all gone i just send everyone to charge to mop up the rest of them.
