Well, I think for factions there should be Bartertown, Lord Humungus' Raiders, and The Followers of Captain Walker. And you could make a Thunderdome quick battle or tournament. How's that for community spirit!

If at all possible, make it so zombies don't use siege equipment when they attack a castle, but instead try to break through the walls/doors. I don't know crap about coding and such, but I think it's a pretty cool idea.

Whining about people being "nooby" should be considered nooby. What will be considered nooby is couched lances and horse archery, the latter of which can take practice to be effective at.

I remember defending against a siege in Native Expansion. The enemies totaled about 550-600, and we had about 95-100. I think I won because I had 50 Huskarls all lined up on the walls, and 40 Vaegir marksmen on the battlements. I jumped down and started smashing skulls and cleaving heads with my favorite axe, but I was overwhelmed by the second wave. That pretty much kept happening for about 6 rounds... But we won!

Humans kick alot of ass. What we may lack in raw strength (fairly useless for hunting, really), we make up for in running endurance. We used to spook animals over and over again until they got really slow and either died from exhaustion or were killed. Some people are even capable for running for 10-12 hours non-stop. Brains aren't our only advantage.

The result would probably be different every time... It depends if the AI sits there like an idiot and lets one of them get a free hit...

I use a shield so I don't have to sacrifice mobility for the defense heavy armor provides. Logic. It works.

Yeah, being able to take out an entire contingent of archers from 90+ yards by yourself is a bit... unrealistic.

Once you hit level 30+, you're pretty much invulnerable, except when enemies decide to mob you. (Damn you, Varangian Berserkers!)

Meh, anything with shields can take a castle, given... proper player involvement.

Once you get to a certain level it's like you have cheats, anyway. But, I admit, I cheated on my first character.

Well, all I have is my 1 vs. 150 victory over vaegirs. When my horse got downed on a rogue spear (Native expansion spear bracing!), I had to avoid their infantry while I killed some horsemen. It sure was a close fight, though. I only had 9 HP left. The one thing I learned there is that you can never ignore your surroundings when traveling.

This is, of course, opposed to a group of tens of thousands of well-trained Romans. 'Nuff said.
