Personally I'm a fan of Knights of the Dawn. They're tough in fights but they look cool too.

I had battle size on 85 at the time. Thanks for the answers. What exactly does the tactics skill do? Anyway, I've eliminated Sarleon which was hard due to getting slaughtered by longbowmen while bunched up on a ladder.  I now have 35 lion knights and 25 dawn knights as well as 200 other elite units. so battles are becoming easier. Upkeep is not though.

Another thing I've encountered that puzzled me(sorry guys). After a certain point in the game i besieged a castle and found it had a silvermist ranger in the garrison. It had no silvermist knighthood order built though. From then on every castle or town i have besieged has had maybe 1 or 2 silvermist rangers but no knighthood. I thought they could have been rescued prisoners at first but in every sarleon castle?

Unfortunately noosers I've moved on by a week or two in the campaign so i don't remember many of those things. I do only have a tactics skill of 2(didn't think it was that important till now) and i usually have most of the stacks in my party full. Anyway, I've fought the king and about 20 other of his lords at the same time and had no problems with this.

This question probably comes from my lack of understanding how the tactics skill works.

Thanks guys. I understand how you feel Cyzyk. Right now im fighting a stack of sarleon lords who in total have 1100 men. It's gonna take a while.

Anyway I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone and why it happened. I was fighting a stack of maybe 500 Sarleon troops. I had 140 and I had an allied lord fighting on my side who had 30 ready for battle. I charged. For some reason only 9 troops spawned instead of the 30 odd that are supposed to. when the reinforcements came, again, only 9 troops. All my troops were completely healthy and ready for battle. It happened once in a siege too when the defenders sallied forth.

So if I leave that garrison of 140 elites, even if 20 Sarleon lords besiege it(it's happened) they wont win?

Hey guys. I've had a long break from M&B but now I'm back playing POP. I have a question about garrisons. How do you guys usually garrison your towns and castles so that they don't get besieged? I had taken over Ravenstern and garrisoned it with 140 elite troops and next day it was besieged by a Ravenstern lord with 80 troops. Is this just another example of the AI doing random things?

I just recruit everyone I can and train them as much as possible, though I do particularly like knights of the dawn. They are the picture perfect medieval knights and they are very effective on horse.

I haven't played pendor in a while. I forgot about what Abyss said and tried to take over sarleon. The damn longbowmen took out almost all my troops including my precious 7 knights of the dawn.

Oh, and don't worry, I think I've run out of questions for you poor folks.

Maybe there could be a small, thin piece of land to connect the island with the mainland? Even though the invasion force has been done before it is different with every mod so it could still work.

Mere days after the mysterious volcanic island was found by fishermen, people began to disappear. Rumours that an unknown race inhabited the new island began to circulate in the taverns and back alleys of every town.

After many young noblemen and women had disappeared, The ruler of the elves sent one of his lords to investigate the coast near the new island. The lords party had only been patrolling the coast for a day when, at night, their camp was attacked by foul looking creatures who struck with deadly force. The Elven lord was caught off guard, but they vastly outnumbered the group that were attacking them and despite their foes skills, The elves won the day.

The elven lord decided to send messengers to his king informing him that the rumours of a new race had been confirmed and listing the many casualties the elves suffered.

The new faction, named by those on the mainland the Chaotic League, would be back................. with far larger armies.

Or, to answer your question Duttonbutton, the new faction could use boats. I'm just throwing ideas around here though and the decision rests with Keedo. Fissures sound good as well though.

With the elves troop tree, will they ever be given a cavalry line? Maybe just a very small line consisting of maybe minor elven nobles on their special elven steeds. Maybe they could be similar to noldor nobles in the prophesy of pendor mod?

Anyway, It's not my mod so you decide. I'll still love this mod no matter what.

I'll definitely download 2.5 but first I'll finish my game on 2.4. This was my first completely non cheating game and I had taken over the Fierdsvain and half of Ravenstern. I'll never be content unless I finish that game.

I didn't know about that renown thing. I guess I'm just going to have to rebuild my entire inventory from scratch. I may use just a little bit of cheats to compensate me for my losses. Gees I'll be pissed if it happens again. 

The game permanently freezes. There is no error message or anything. It just freezes Then I have to ctrl-alt-delete to exit the program.

EDIT:  The new download SEEMS to be working fine so it may have just been a bad download.

EDIT2: In an attempt to find what was causing the problem, I started using a program I had used only in previous games called artmoney to edit the amount of renown I had. Noon that day the game froze while I was besieging a castle.

Hello guys. I have a problem. Every couple of hours in-game the game freezes. I have made some small modifications to the scripts file but this was happening before I made them. I'm re downloading now to see if the problem stays. Just wanted to report it and see if it can be fixed.

Good point.

My capture rate was the only thing I tweaked as well. I never got how a man who has been knocked unconscious escaped on  foot when I have cavalry to find him if he somehow manages to get of the ground after having his helmet dented into his skull.

I did make a backup of the file. I am at day 500 so what would have made it trigger now? Regardless, I'll put back the original file.

Hello, I've read this and I'm pretty sure this hasn't been reported yet. I just defeated a sarleon lord and when I went to look at the loot my inventory got cleared out. I have nothing left. The only thing I have modified is the chance of capturing lords.

I'm sorry if there was another thread I should have read as well.

EDIT: Even when I reloaded a previous game from before I defeated that lord my inventory is still empty.
