    While we are still investigating this issue, have you tried clean install?

    I performed a removal from steam, then went in and deleted any remaining files. Then deleted all the configs files. Installed beta 1.5.6, had the issue. Then I reverted to 1.5.5 again in steam, issue is gone.

    Bannerlord Beta 1.5.6 introduces a CTD on New Game that goes away if I downgrade to 1.5.5, no mods. Immediately after hitting New Game it attempts to load and then crashes to desktop, no warnings/messages.

    I tried fresh re-install, updating all drivers, updating .NET framework items, purging config and saved data. This is with no mods running. No game error handling grabbed it, windows flagged it as:

    I read that it was tied to ragdoll but I tried disabling that with no help. Finally I wondered if it was the patch itself, so I downgraded back to 1.5.5 and the new game window loaded. Having no messages made me think it was tied to my video card/drivers and I am unaware of the changes made from 1.5.5 to 1.5.6 that may impact that. I went and got the latest drivers and ran a fresh install on those as well. I am running a GeForce GTX 1070 (I know dated but well within mins) and I tried downgrading the quality, I typically play around medium/high. I actually have two of those 1070s installed, so i tried with and without SLI and still had the same issue. I am trying to upgrade but as many know GPUs are difficult to come by these days.

    If anyone recognizes this and it's just something I overlooked let me know, otherwise something in the patch caused the issue.

    Okay so I have production again, I had stopped a level 3 Castallan's Office midway and apparently that was tying up my production. I restarted it and let it complete and I was good again. Hope this helps others.

  7. Cannot Revert Bandits Into Normal Troops

    I'm having this same issue. I have Disciplinarian under Leadership but it's still red and says I need it in the option to upgrade the troop.

    @Quintillius : Thanks for the response, I'm just not following this.  I never played 1.2 without 1.21, so I have no saved game I am trying to load.  The conversation issues I have I get with a New Game using 1.21.  If I play my 1.21 save with the conversation.txt file from 1.2, most of the problem clears up.  Am I just setting up something wrong?

    @Quintillius : Can you elaborate on this?  It sounds like we should create our character with 1.2, save, and then apply the hotfix and play that saved game.  If that interpretation is incorrect, I am having similar issues around conversations when I start a new game using 1.21 with the hotfix.

      b) Resume the default by clicking "`" (left to “1”) or "R".

    is there a way to disable this, for people who use the arrow keys to move?

    mureika has done a good job of collecting the facts on this in the thread he referenced. Please do refer to it if you are unclear of what it means that the game engine is Warband's but most of the campaign scripting (module system code) was taken from original M&B (aside from what was needed to run MP and what they wrote specifically for WFaS).

    Yea sorry I was countering where he was saying that it shouldn't be there because it was started before warband.  Just making the point there was a decision to not include certain things and touching on vermillion's point that it's marketed as expanding on warband's combat system but doesn't mention the rest is from regular M&B.  It's not lying, just deceptive for those coming off of Warband looking for a good follow-up.  In the end though, my stance is just don't buy future games from them or wait until you can find out what's really in it from other people complaining.

    It sucks but it's simple, they botch this then future releases are impacted.  People on the next game won't buy it expecting it to be good because it says Mount & Blade is all.  It burns the consumer thus hurting future business.  Most companies make a corrective course to prevent it but they're certainly not required to by any means.
