Sorry if I'm just being a complete idiot, but I've been trying to install GE 2.5 using the .exe for a while now, but my game never changes from vanilla graphics. Is this because I am on the steam version of the game?

Vaegir Knights are awesome too, but with less armor and no shield (usually). I like seeing them riding around decapitating Swadians and Sea Raiders with their massive axes though.

A little off topic, but what does IIRC mean?

How about Left4Dead at $25? I got the game for $25 on Christmas (steal!). Both that and the M&B sales were a bargain (I was one of those people who bought M&B for 7.50 hehehe).

Yeah, it's fun when you're bracing yourself for impact with a swarm of enemy infantry, only to receive a throwing axe in the face before you even see them.

Khergit Veteran Horse archers work well against lightly armored calvary or any other infantry/archers in a wide, open areas. Only problem is, sometimes they get trapped in a large group of enemy soldiers and are easily cut down.
Rhodok Sharpshooters are amazing crossbowmen with excellent armor and melee attacks. Great for seige defense.
Vaegir Marksmen have the best archery skills, but are not mounted and have less defense. They work best in large groups.

Swadian Sharpshooters have okay crossbow, but excellent melee. But who wants crossbowmen for their melee?

Nord Veteran Archers are pretty bad compared to other Vaegir archers. The best kind of ranged troops depends on what kind of army you plan on building. Are you with any particular faction at the moment?

Okay. That sounds good. Another small question; when horses get killed, do you lose them from your inventory? Do they become lame?

Ugh, that sucks. I was hoping that lamellar armor would help me out more than other armors besides helping me fit in with the Vaegirs.

So the higher the encumbrance, the slower I am on foot?

I'm still wondering what advantages certain armors have over others BESIDES weight and the obvious body/leg armor statistics. Why would anyone purchase a lordly armor when regular plate armor has better stats and is cheaper? if there are any differences at all.

I'm either a complete noob at this game or you need to rephrase the question. What are you trying to ask?

I would suggest just straight up fighting either larger groups of bandits or sea raiders. If you're skilled enough, tell your troops to hold position when you first start so they won't die charging into battle. Then take on the enemies on your own or with stronger troops. Everyone will get some exp, even the ones that don't fight.

What I can suggest is getting a decent spear so you can give the those horses a quick poke, followed by a nice stab in the face. Also, order your men to stand together when fighting Khergits. Try to swing at them when they get too close. If you're really desperate, I suppose you could wait for them to run out of arrows or something. I always ride my heavy hunter when dealing with Khergits, though.

Will it play a mix of the old and new ones then? Because I haven't heard the old ones yet )=
