    I was raiding a village and tried jumping a wall. . . my horse's front legs apparently got stuck in some fresh mortar



    I dont remember how this one occured. . . looks like he lynched himself?

    now the abundance is set to 100 by default, is that the same as 0 availability? hence why i dont find any?

    I think I answered that before, but I may have forgot to. The reason they won't attack is it calculates things based on troop strength, not just numbers. Your huscarls are crazy high level, so they're showing up as significantly stronger than the lower tier troops. It makes sense, too - your 15 huscarls alone would wipe the floor with the other guys, even without the help of you and the heroes. Lords will attack castles much more often if they have high tier troops, because those high tier troops count for a lot more in the calculations. You could probably screw with the strength calculating script to make levels not matter as much, but that would likely make the AI do really stupid things - like a party of elite troops run from a party of peasants, or a big party of crap troops jump on a slightly smaller party of elite troops and get their asses kicked. Renown actually doesn't play any part in it - just usually when you have high renown you have top tier troops, thus everyone runs from you. If you trade out your 15 huscarls for 15 peasants, people will attack you.

    hey TML i asked this earlier in the thread but it may have been missed,

    is there a way to change how aggressive parties on the world map are, so that they will attack at somethign else than HIGH odds?

    for example, 30 pirates right now wont attack my party of 15 huscarls and myself and some heroes, yet there is a chance they can win, but instead they run. what would be nice was if the enemy attacked sometimes when it was at less than good odds, like taking a chance.

    another example is when an enemy will never attack a castle unless there is less than say 50 men or so. .

    what i am looking for is something that will make the enemy more aggressive, or more likely to attack regardless of odds.

    if this helps at all, i am pretty sure this is somewhat related to renown, its seems that the more renown i have the more parties run from me even if they would not have when i had less.

    that said if armagan changes native, then it will be my job to mod the game back to one ladder per castle, and you guys will then like native as it is  ^ ^, but as native is now, it is your job to mod it, and mine to enjoy it as-is

    yes i do actually, though not so much with the fact that you want more ladders but with the fact that you want them in official native. . . i like native just how it is, and so do many people here. want more ladders? mod them in to *YOUR* game or get someone to do it for you, but don't penalize us that like native as it is with only 1 ladder for most battlefields please!

    i have done this (checked the merchandise flag) with the flintlock and ammo, yet the wont appear in any of the shops same goes for the strange armor and weapons. (yes i waited several game days and started a new game)

    also, what does the abundance attribute do?

    could you elaborate on this point, after hearing for 4 years people of many experiences say this is "not possible" i find myself somewhat doubtful. if you have good reason to think it is possible i would love to hear it and many others would too i am sure :smile:

    i did that, doesn't take as long as one would think, just absolutely remember to hit that 'update' button every time! i forgot to at first and has to start all over! make sure you go over every troop type, some troops have horses but marked mounted as 'optional' so you may skip over them, but they will still randomly spawn with horses here and there :smile:

    tis mine, looks good on shields, not so much on heraldic mail, too lazy for screens. . . and yes the red dribble on the skull is too bright its been fixed thats and old version. . . lazyness ftw

    btw i love many of the ones in this thread and have replaced some oof the native ones with them, yall are way better at this than me :smile:

    i was wondering if there was an easy tweak for this issue i have,

    i find enemy parties are just wayyy too cowardly, they never attack anyone unless they have an obvious numerical advantage, and if one has a lto of renown, good luck being attacked by someone. i remember the days where a party of 40 bandits actually *would* attack a lord with 60 troops, and sometimes even win. now i have to run after every party to get a fight, as everyone runs from me. heck even if i have 20 soldiers and the enemy group has 20, if i have too much renown they will still run. or if one of my castles get besieged and i run in to try and fight in a castle defense the enemy runs away. i would like to see more daring tactics by the parties out there, so as to allow for much more fighting without so much chasing, maybe have enemies  consider taking on slightly bad odds, would reflect arrogance, or superiority in RP too "psha we have half the troops the swadians do, but swadians are rotten fighters anyways, lets take them on, we should make out ok". or " oh look at this oh so renowned lord, if i can beat him, i will be the most renowned ever!" i dunno lol, but a tweak to make enemy parties less cowardly would be GREAT!

    somehow i know this has been asked before, but i couldn't find it in search, however my search forums skills are not too good either. is it possible to make a very simple mod to add a Give All troops and a Take All troops when garrisoning and such? i mean if you have 100 troops you want to...

    now all we need are fire arrows, or torch bearers so that the now truly night battles (10 foot visibility at best) offer some more (and somewhat realistic) visibility

    @cromwall are you saving & Exit? if so the game does save, just produces an error as it quits, alt-tab to see the error/press ok, then the program will terminate (at least this is how it works in vista)

    the HDR seetings are perfect, before this i tried them and my game looked like crud (whereas native was very nice), now it looks even better than native!

    dhirim all the way. . . this missing siegetower (its actually way up in the sky) makes it a PITA to take. took me forever to take it when rebelling vs swadians. . . and i made sure it became mine after that!
