Also, didn't Gustav II Vasa or someone of his like sell/give/hurl some leather cannons to his Polish enemies once he saw they were prone to exploding? Or perhaps it was the Poles who managed to capture some of them in the very first battle they were used in?

'twas about time the Swadians got proper firearms (seriously, blunderbusses? Were they expecting to board some pirate ships?). But the leather cannon, good Lord of Cheese, whose idea was that? It was the Haelmarians, wasn't it? They were too lazy to throw that thing in the Obello Sea and decided it was better off blowing itself up amongst the Swadian ranks.

Out of curiosity, how buggy are we talking here exactly? I wouldn't mind a beta-like quantity of bugs if it meant I get to play a newish version of SfB.

Just so you know, I'm going to start a Swadian character and build up a company based on one of those sects. That was one fine piece of writing.

I know this probably has been asked before, but is there a way to disable Polished Landscapes? I tried to follow the instructions on the Floris sub-forum but they don't seem to work.

What about updating the main thread with the link? Chapter 2 isn't that different from the current version, but Chapter 1 is a lot of fun, with the Nords, the Dual Monarchy and the Ellis Empire still on their feet.

You're right. I got confused by the word "burlack", which is just a translitteration of "burlak" (pron.: boo-rlàk), meaning something similar to "boatman". So similar, in fact, that sometimes they're used as synonyms in English. "Volga Burlacks' Song" is a wrong title, though, because I can't find anything similar to it in Russian. I don't know what's the original name of the song.

New artworks are provided by supporters of the mod, not by the developers themselves. The best you can expect is a patch for the current version, although when (or even "whether") it will be released is unknown. The only active developer is Somebody, and a completely new version is simply too much for one person only. 'sides, Chapter 4 was sent into hybernation more than a year ago.

30 years? You're quite optimistic.

If you enable the cheats, you can recruit them in taverns, along with all the other factions' special troops. They mount chargers and are equipped with polished plate armours and greaves, sallets, lances, military hammers and Marienburg shields.

They'll be wiped away as soon as the Haelmar Union begins the new Southern Campaign. It is written! Thou shalt eat cheese!
But I reckon that might go against the "the Lion Throne shall not be defeated" rule, so I'm going to stick with the Mondo and the Super Friends idea.

Good news, gentlemen! As of thursday, I have now my first laurea (three years academic degree)! And although I already have to attend the courses for the laurea magistrale (two years academic degree, equivalent to a master's degree), I feel it's time for looting, killing, maiming, raping and burning EatRC-style*! Might even submit that piece of lore I've been keeping in the closet for a year or so!

Might have been posted already, but still: Elite Stockmen of the Arlen Barony don't have any melee weapons, although lower grade have daggers and short swords. It isn't intentional, is it?
Firearms don't have any smoke effect, but maybe that's just my installation.
Finally, I got this scene while defending the village of Village ("Yes, my lord. Our village is Village.") of the Arlen Tribe from bandits. Us and them spawned precisely in the same spot. Gladly, my men were better armoured.

I know the Arlen Tribe are poor, but to the point of calling this a village?

Ok, it'd been more than a year since I played this mod. I downloaded it two weeks ago. After roughly three RL days of game, all I can say is: I love you, mate. I really do. It's nice to see all the factions getting more and more characterized, the lore filled, the textures polished and, despite all this, the game still running smooth! The progress reports just make me drool even more!
I will post suggestions and bugs (more like oddities, anyway) in their respective threads. For now, just keep on going! You're doing an excellent work!
