I really dont understand all these requests for gothic 15/16th century armour when Narf has made an absolutely stunning OSP pack of exactly that....http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,100949.0.html

His stuff should be goddamn stickied in the guildhall or something.

edit: dejawolf also has the milanese sallet people always seem to be jizzing over...

Awesome I will be sure to download some of them. Is there any more I should know about? I'm also looking for a graphics improvement mod also. I'm running the game on max without my graphics card even flinching. Running at max fps 120. =P

I really like the number 11 helmet, is that accurate? Padding of some sort on top of a helm? Or is there no metal bowl or whatever underneath the red cloth?
I found the book at the library...
It says " A transitional from of flat top helmet (11) had a rigidly attached visor or face-mask. In Germany this style was often worn with a large, slightly quilted, brightly colored and sometimes embroidered hat over the top."

As for that awesome looking surcoat that I showed. I googled coat of plates (from the book) which brought me here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_plates then here http://www.arador.com/articles/stmaurice.html. That picture has a strong resemblance to the one I showed. And there you have it armored surcoats.

That's a surcoat-of-plates over mail or something? What name would you give to something like that?

Why weren't shields of this type used in later ages? Was it less practical/protective or was the design simply forgotten?
I found that photo here (http://drjellyjoe.blogspot.com/2011/02/armour.html) and I'm guessing it is accurate because the company does make a lot of historical warfare books... ,but I'm not truly sure.  PUBLISHER: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/
  5. New Armour that you would like

I'm not sure what more I can really add to this forum.... Everything has been said or been found. The only thing you can really do is take a type of armor then give it a style. Well anyways I would like different shapes of shields or more shields. It doesn't really matter. Also maybe some more crusade armor. Something more then just a greathelm and a surecoat and mail. (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VTSatFCCRvA/TWZjxOFt1yI/AAAAAAAAAIA/8aX0y1mcWAY/s1600/1287810123488.jpg) something kind of like that. Pretty cool eh?
  6. Adding A RTS Element to Simplify Order Giving

PBOD? How do you do that? I didn't know it was in the game. The tutorial is pretty limited as in it never went over it. (or are you just commenting on that idea?)
  7. Adding A RTS Element to Simplify Order Giving

No mater which way you put it a game will always be unrealistic and yes I agree that it would make the game more easier to play so turn up that difficulty level. Its not like the enemy does anything else rather then charge you in the beginning anyways.
  8. Adding A RTS Element to Simplify Order Giving

Right now order giving is complicated, annoying, and outright a pain in the ass if you have more then one unit type. (even more annoying for archers (WB & WFS) and musket men (WFS)) So what I am suggesting is adding a pause button that zooms from you character to a over the battlefield view so...
