    those marauders and brettonian knights look awesome! I wish GKH and Ursca would work together and create a mode with both the Empire and Brettonia. I love both factions  :smile:

    im not sure if anyone has suggested this but I think a Jedi should become a jedi knight then a jedi master. Since Jedi are elite warrior, there should be more tier in their troop tree.

    Actually that was what I was thinking. If this is meant as a town, it looks good. If its just a rural village, Im not sure it would be too close together. I think its shaping up nicely though, lots of thought in it, I like it alot, town or village :smile:
    no, actually, I think this is fine. A proper town should have a big wall, a gate, a castle, dungeon and so on. Let's keep it like this, we can change later if we want anyway.

    well, these barricades are for a dire situation. Like if there are some people did not make it inside the walls and they have no other way to defend themselves (though this would mean certain death). The windmill is important to a village as well, and they need to protect their supply of grain/wheat. Anyway, I just think that putting some barricade there wouldnt hurt, right?  :wink: it does look nice.

I believe GaGrin has made some excellent town scenes before, they look quite similar to those pics of yours. About the empty space, I dont think there is much we can do now, its my fault to planned the outer wall too big, leading to unnecessary spaces.

    but making it run through the village is quite hard now. perhaps I will use this idea for my next scene

    I just think the windmill is outside the wall, thus is a more dangerous area. So I cant help giving it some simple defenses. Maybe it can help slowdown a charge by beastmen while archers and peasants hold up against them.

    Thanks! But I just look back at some of the works by Mellonril, Ursca, Tostig, etc cant remember them all. Those are masterpiece. Especially Mellonril's chaos steed.

    Well I assume it won't look nearly as empty once you add some peasants/townspeople walking around.  You wouldn't want the marketplace too cluttered with junk if people are supposed to walk around in there anyway. 


    The town really needs some warhammer esque banners now, to help set the tone (although the skulls certainly help  :smile: ).
    yes, perhaps you're right. We need space for possible battles inside the village as well. And we do need flags, banners and such. But I believe Ursca or someone else already has those props made, so no worries.

    Thanks everyone for your compliments, but this is no where near art. I just simply put some objects and some thought together  :wink:

    update for the village scene. EDIT: due to the large number of images, I've replaced the IMG codes by direct links.

    This is where militia and soldier seat and rest. would be cool if we can make the rest of the troops to patrol around in group of 2 or 3, just like in Witcher.

    no, I dont think so. I've read through all the pages and they havent made any of those structure yet. Or at least they didnt post any picture of them.

    And btw, I wonder why neither Ursca or Archonsod have not made any respond to the new module system.

    Looks good, just one suggestion though. You could consider breaking up a bit ground texture in the farm area. You might wanna try the forrest & dirt texture combo with a bit of steppe or grass added in for the flavour.
    Im really bad at paitning texture, will give it atry though. one thing, what is the 'dirt' texture everyone keep talking about? There is no such thing in my list.

    And yes, there will be merchants. I intend to shift the well nearer to the resident area and turn the little square into a small market, with vendors and such. Stable will be added in the farm area.

    Ok, this is the village so far. I havent add minor details such as rubish pile, weapons, foods yet but this is how the scene gonna be. I've drawn a quick layout for you guys too.

    The Windmill
    Havent put much effort in this yet, just wanna show you where its gonna be in the map. Put a simple defense/spikes, which I think is crappy.

    The Tower
    I like the pointy roof, it's really warhammer-ish. I put a small house there to act like an entrance to the tower. Also add some windows extensions, maybe archers/gunmen can shoot from there (this has no gameplay role, just to look cool).

    The Church Area
    This one is really really bad. Who could create such a bad church model like this? Need replacement, definately. Wanna add some high grass over here. Also, I want to add some graves inside the yard, but sadly, native's grave isnt suitable.

    The Farm Area
    Again, not much here yet. I intend to put lots of wheat here. You can see there is a barn and some sort of farmhouse. We can put some horses, or better yet, put some cows if possible.

    The Guard House
    This is where the Millitia or even a small detachment of the Imperial Army garrison, guarding the village. It has a small, 3-story tower, watching the South entrance. You can also see some windows sticking out from the wall, which is a good place for archers/gunners (this has no gameplay role, just to look cool).

    The Resident Area

    I made a small scaffolding here where we can put 1 or 2 troops to guard the the West of the village.

    What I'm gonna do next
    -Add small stuff, rubbish, decor and skulls, yes, LOTS OF SKULL!  :twisted:
    -Maybe modify the windmill area a little bit.
    -er..what else?

    What we still need
    -Props, warhammer's props, spike-rows, more skulls, flags, banners...

    Ursca just answered the same question to Nethoras, back at page 156. So I think everything is alright. We'r waiting for the module system I guess. But I've been wondering why we dont do what we can in the mean time, i.e. Night Gob's weapons, armors, scene/props (we do need lots of new props) etc.
