Basically, its a quartered rotational symentry design. Top left is this raven:

Lower half is upside down version of the top half.

The blade is 30"  the sword overall 35 3/4" Yeah the fuller is kind of wide and I did wish it was a bit more deep. It weighs 2 1/4lbs. I will get another picture of myself in my mail some time so when ever I do that I can take a picture of the back of the shield. I never put a leather around the edge because I don't have the right leather for it. My sister, mom, and me made my tunic, I was thinking of dying it brown, don't know yet if I will though.

Doubtful, any who could have contributed would have served in the fyrd. The fact Harold had to call the fyrd pretty much sums up the feeling of the country, the fyrd responded out of legal obligation than willingness. Nobody, whether lord or commoner, wanted to be seen backing the wrong horse.

They did. The Saxons displaced, not conquered. The only Britons around by 1066 would have been the Cornish.
