This is a common and old misconception among players. As it happens you get the bonuses only from your own party skills. Your companions never contribute bonus points but they can receive them from you if they have a higher skill level then you do, as the bonus points always get applied to the person with the highest of that party skill. But, again, the bonus points only come from your own character. If you have 2 points in wound treatment and your companion has 8, then you will give that companion +1 bonus. But if you have 8 and they have 2 then your own 8 will give you a bonus of +3 while the 2 that the companion has will be completely useless. In other words, so long as you have the highest in a particular party skill there is no benefit of giving that same skill to any of your companions.Swadius 说:

But the more property you acquire the less likely you will be to acquire any more unless you increase your renown even higher.
