Hey guys! So I am now Aylin Sho, Queen of the Satori Shogunate.  I have made peace treaties with several factions, and have made peace, gone to war with, and made peace again with the Imperial Legion, whom I stole the land from.  I have two castles and a town, and I'm trying to figure out how to make trade agreements, defense pacts, and so on...  Do I need to be recognized as a Monarch first?

Yes sir, I've been a Vassal of Aden for over six months.
I haven't had this problem for a little while now.  I don't know what was causing it.  Maybe the city had gotten sieged earlier and soon before I arrived the siege broke so the report still hadn't been fixed yet?

But this includes Mulanog, a City.  Cities don't get infested by bandits, right?  I mean I was sitting in the Castle of the town myself and I was only getting Tariffs, not Taxes from it.

But the thing is, they have a very large spotting skill, so they just dart around the land until they don't see a bandit.They do move fast though, so it's unlikely they will be caught, but it happens, and you will be notified.

tl;dr Chances are it will take about 1-4 weeks, depending on how much you ask them to collect.

Next question: Why is it that fiefs of mine which haven't been raided at all are showing up as not paying any taxes in the Budget Report?

So I've been awarded my first City (Mulanog) and I have this Constable who's offering to recruit new men.  How long does it take for those recruits to show up in the garrison?

Aha!  I didn't know about the f3 patch until now.  It's not included in the main download, right?  I needed to install it afterwards?

Also, while installing it, I get the same message as before about it being created for an earlier version of Warband (it says it's for 1.143), while my warband is on version 1.154.

I'm playing on the latest version of Warband, and what I thought was the same version of SoD, but they are not the same version exactly as eachother.

So, you were correct sir.  I apologize for jumping to conclusions.  However, now, at about 120 days into the game, it keeps crashing in the same spot.  My men are kind of low on morale because it's a fairly large group, and a section of it is men from a nation we are at war with (I'm in the Kingdom of Aden, and these are Villanese soldiers).  So, I enter battle with this group of 20 bandits, but every time about 12 seconds into the battle, my whole game crashes and closes.

Interestingly enough, when I didn't attack those bandits, and instead went to plunder a village nearby and got attacked by the faction I was raiding, that battled turned out fine.

Edit 2: another update, tried to go help out a war party of my faction that was getting killed by some bandits, and yet again the game crashed.


Also another question for anyone who knows this mod well:
How do I use a blacksmith?  The options are always grayed out?

Yup. Any time you can nominate yourself to receive a fief, when it goes to someone else you get an option to renounce your oath to your liege.

The important difference is that nominating yourself and requesting a fief are not the same.  You actually can't just nominate yourself by talking to a lord and saying that you wish to be considered.  You have to capture the place yourself in order to put in an official request.

Doesn't seem to work with the newest version of Warband?  I get an error when I tried installing it that Warband might be a different version than the one it uses.  I checked and the Warband version I have is newer than the one it said it was using.  I installed in anyway, but it crashes as soon as I try to start a new game.

It seems you're right that you have to actually initiate the siege.

Nominating yourself does not seem to be the same as requesting after all.  You only get a request if you initiate a siege and capture the fief (it prompts you to request ownership).  Nominating yourself by talking to the lords does not accomplish this and doing so will not give you the option of leaving should you be denied the fief.

Hmm, I see.  So if I initiate a siege, take the castle, and then ask the King to nominate me.  THEN, if I don't get it, I can leave the faction and keep what property I DO own, yes?

Let me get this straight:

1)  Do I need to initiate the attack on the castle/town?  Or do I just need to have been in the battle when it was captured?

2) If I just tell the King that I think I should be nominated, that counts as requesting?

But... it never gives me that option.  It just says "So and So has received Such and Such a Fief."  Eventhough I talked to a couple lords and told them I want to be nominated.  What am I doing wrong?

I've heard you can leave a faction when the King doesn't award you a fief you requested.  Is requesting the same as nominating yourself?  And what do you do once the fief has been awarded to someone else in order to leave in this way?

Ohh, I see.  But cleanin' up some bandits is a good way to keep people happy during peacetime, while also training them up a bit?

Also, anyone have any idea about the sieges?
