    The only solution would be to allow defeated enemies to recruit higher tier units so that a higher percentage of their troops have higher tier units.

    The Lord Retinue module in Realistic Battle Mod is probably the closet we have to an idea solution.
    Actually there are other solutions involving improving AI. If a kingdom's stance is defensive, parties should not go to enemy territory alone and lose, they should patrol around their cities and defend villages, they should prefer to get back to cities and castles even when they have a slight advantage, they should prefer siege defence over field battle.

    Other solutions might be "cheat like buffs" like increasing milita production during defensive stance, increasing tax income when nobles stay inside settlements, increasing xp gain of troops when inside a settlement etc.

    Factions doing well will quickly snowball and factions doing poorly will have very little means of recovery. That "short period' could be the decisive stage in a major war.

    There would have to be some way for defeated factions to recover or the game would become even easier for the player than it already is.

    If the game made defending more rewarding then attacking, factions doing bad could take a more defensive stance and try to recover faster. Meanwhile factions doing well try to conquer but lose much more resources then defending factions and would have to get back after a few victories and replenish. This way battles would be meaningful but also snowballing would be slowed down. But at the current state of the game factions doing bad just form another army of recruits and besiege cities of factions doing well and get slaughtered again and again.

    Before reading the topic I want to say you expressed my thoughts. One thing I thought was making cities and castles support more garrison and miltia. Let's see what people said about it, now.

    Having bigger garrisons doesnt mean anything if lord just get soldiers from them everytime they lose

    A big factor for this broken state of the game is influence and army system and #23 says well about it

    why do i lose influence when losing a castle?

    I think the king also gets mad at you, loosing relation.
    Somebody probably thinks it would be unbalanced for you to just lose your castle and then bid on yourself for a new one (cuz now no fief bonus), however I think you can not just give fiefs back anyways, so I would do that and try for a better situated fief, cuz factions probably won't help you.
    I feels like TW really want you to just lop everyone heads of and never be a vassal or ruler.
    This plus realism, I think.

    Back to the stash menu page:

    When you give a player another menu page instead of a chest to store items, it gives the player no connection to his castle or town thrown room. Add up enough little things like this and you have a very bland game. Besides fighting battles there is zero to do. Viking Conquest is much better in this regard? Why is that?

    Yesterday I was programming a very simple GUI for a homework and realized that I could create an very simple online game like Travian without any graphics and images in a day or something. Just make everything consist of numbers, even the world map, and we are ready to go. This stash thing reminded me that. Lol

    Instead, I used Marry Anyone mod to enable polygamy. My char has like 20 children from like 7-8 wives. lol. Combined with my brothers' children there are almost 30 children in our clan and everyday I have to educate them :sad:

    Yes. Btw, I saw your edits to campaign map from 2020 in a topic and it looks really well thought. Good job, indeed. Are you planning to create "something" using mod tools?

    Another question arises here, why can't TW care about it as much as community do? Is it only a matter of priorities or do they really not care?

    I've said it before, I love the lighting of the sunrises and sunsets, they are very well done. Between those two periods as I have already said... I would tweak a bit.

    In my opinion, the Bannerlord world map has enough potential to surpass the beauty of the campaign map of Anno 1800 and the battle scenes of total war troy (even though I think the game is rubbish, the battle maps are spectacular) imho.
    I saw your topic and your tweaks good promising. I agree with you on this one. But as some people said it in this topic, forests and biomes are not so distinguishable from each other and seasons do not change anything at all. These thing probably need more than some tweaks.

    Look at these pre-relsease devblog screenshots of campaign map.


    During sunrise and sunset might not be perfect but during day different areas had different tones of green and they looked actually realistically pretty.

    jokes aside, we should be able to tell them to "move there", "join an army", "patrol around", "recruit these", "don't recruit these" etc. A budget thing is not enough

    High tier equipment as a goal for end game

    Totally agree. We already have an end game money sink. Converting other faction's clans require usally around 500k. And making armor an "end game goal" while they can never be bought is simply ridiculous.

    Huge armies galore from Aserai

    You should check diplomacy tab in kingdom. You can see the number of units each kingdom has. Aserai is expected to have many units because they have a large territory and it is pretty safe so they can focus their armies in one exit.

    Well also, in my campaign, I am the Sultan of Aserai and we control the whole Aserai, Western Empire, Southern Empire lands consisting of 19 cities and many castles. Everytime we fight against Khuzaits they do the same to us. It is like their source of human does not run out. In diplomacy tab it is clear that we have more units but idk, maybe it is just how it feels to me.

    Game finished after 10 Hours of playing?!

    After you have a city and enough influence to create armies it starts to become a more strategic game. You need to be active to defend your kingdom and settlements from 1000 men armies of enemies but you have limited resources. Personally, that is the part I like the most. But, it lacks some mechanics and AI is kind of stupid so don't expect a great experience.
