    C3C troop trees

    Rhomphaia 说:
The Word Palestine has its origins far earlier than than the 20th Century. There are several texts in ancient Egyptian from the 12th Century BC making mention of Peleset people from the region. This was adopted and used in some for or another from one nation to the next. Herodotus used it, the Assyrians before him and Rome eventually adopted it as well in the Latin form of Palaestina. Even the Hebrew Bible makes mention of the word as far as I can remember.
Peleshet and Palestine are two different things. Paleshet was pretty small and only included Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Gat. Its people, the Philistine, spoke an Hellenic language. The word Palestine was used since the 2nd century AD (long after the bible was written obviously), but the word Palestinian wasn't used to describe non Jewish residents of Palestine until the 20th century. One of the first uses of the word was by Immanuel Kant who called the European Jews "Palestinians living among us."

Ahh yeah, so it is the Palestinians. I think in the least they will be a mercenary unit.

His equipment is all discernable save the headpiece (if it is one), so there shouldn't be able problems replicating it.

Good ole blunt-force trauma to crack heavy armor.
I don't wanna get all political, but the word "Palestinian" didn't exist before the 20th century. At the time the battle took place the area was still inhabited mostly by Jews.

So let me get this straight...

The problem is that you have the latest version. The beta release is for the 0.96 version. The final mod is not out yet. With god's help it will be out during this millennium, but no promises.

TPW - Faction Preview: Samnite Federation

I feel like they're all a bit too colorful. I doubt dye was used that extensively during that period.

About the Swastika, there's even an ancient Synagogue in Israel that has this symbol. It was used all over the world.

All of these names are credited to Paeninsula Italica, who gave us permission to use their research. First names and surnames are a bit tricky to determine in some cases: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=90472&page=10

    "Ruler":

http://www.livius.org/ha-hd/hannibal/hannibal_2.html - Hannibal "Mago", son of Gesco and Grandson of Hamilcar Mago, was "Shofet" (consul, basically) around 410, dying in 406 from the plague during a siege. Wiki cites him as 'ruler' from 440 to 406 BC, but also cites "Himilco I" as ruling from 460 to 410 in Sicily, yet I think that's erroneous.

So I would have Hannibal "Mago", son of Gesco/Gisco be the Leader of the Punic Faction. We can have Himilco I as a general, although it's not apparently clear if he was involved in Hannibal Mago's activities prior to Hannibal's death.

I would translate to Hebrew, but there would be absolutely no need for it. Plus, I'm pretty sure not Latin languages are not supported by M&B.

    The Forge - Mod Development

Everything you need to know to make your own mod

So if you're so anxious for the mod, get on that page, start learning some stuff and do some models, props, whatever. Sometimes coding troop trees is a tedious and slow job, some help may be apreciated.

Quit whining for a release date and complaining about how long it takes, and instead do some really decent work and help E.

Or simply stop complaining about how long it's taking and aprecciate what you've got so far.
Believe me, I know. I also helped a tiny bit to this mod by making LODs to some of the models, before finding out that I really don't have the time. I'm not complaining, I'm just telling people not to get their hopes up. Ealabor is a perfectionist and won't release this mod until it's 200% ready, even if it never happens.
