I bought Mount & Blade in 2005, back when it was in beta. I bought Warband when it came out. I will buy Bannerlord when it comes out. It is not even a question.
Siege battles are oddly small for me at the moment. While I can have field battles of up to 500 people, siege maps generally only have about 60 per side. Very confusing as to why. I tweaked and retweaked the internal troop settings as well as the game troop settings to no avail.
Part of the autoloot function for 2.0 seems to be broken. Can't choose companion preferences or get them to pick up new gear. Currently I can only access the item screen or get companions to pick up the loot. Anyone managed to fix this?
Not to mention you open the door for a gazillion of nasty bugs according your heresy - missing dialogue options is fatal and the first one which comes to my mind.
However, it´s a personal tweak.
Don´t expect anything but barreloads of acid poured over you for meddling with the occult , crying for momma and asking for support.
I've recently been modding PoP using the troop tree to include the unique spawns as companions. Every time I defeat one of those huge armies, I add their leader as a companion. The story is that I give them a chance to serve me in lieu of me executing them, sort of like a bonded warrior.
Anyone...
I've recruited the welsh longbowmen, genoese crossbowmen, all sorts of knights from the kingdom of Jerusalem. But I just can't seem to get the varangian guard to spawn.
I've joined from character creation.
I've joined after "earning" my way to 200 renown.
I've conquered it and become its lord.
I've conquered it and let someone else become lord.
In the end, I just modded the files and let me upgrade top-tier byzantine infantry into varangian guards.
I can't seem to find any Varangian Guard in Constantinople to recruit, even after resting there for 30 days and even "buying" up the darn balkan mercs who keep appearing. Roman Empire in Constantinople doesn't seem to be "triggering" the Varangian Guard?
I started a new game and went around recruiting heroes. With 18 heroes, I triggered a fight against a 136 strong lord party.
Renown for the battle was 27 points.
How exactly is this weighted?
My new lords are not recruiting, and they never leave the town where I accepted them as vassals. I assigned them fiefs, but they just stay put there with only themselves in their party. I think this was a problem for me quite a few months back, but I don't know what to do with it now.
