I am also having a lot more fun with this patch... this is IMO the best version i've played of the beta so far. I also love how I feel like I can actually MOVE and I'm not feeling like a 500lb person wobbling aroused. The extra speed has also made the battles much better as well imo.

this kind of game has been in my dreams since childhood... there is no other game ever like this, sure there are mods that are somewhat decent with medieval combat, but this is the most unique game in many many years.

hell yeah the helmet on the screen is a wicked thing, I've seen it once or twice in games, and its always nice.

so you'd rather have an rts view of your character so you see where everyone is and whos coming at you from a mile away lol..

I personally think that the combat, and the game itself would be very different if servers had the option to make 1st person only. This is why I support a server option for that, among a million other things.


the ultimate would be 1st person with full friendly fire... that would force people to work together and not be so swingy circley jumpy like they are now.

Same here, but I know we are the minority.  I was shocked when I started playing the beta to find I was one of maybe 2 people who played 1st person (this was when there were only 2 dozen people in beta, mind you).  To me it is bizzare...this is probably the only good 1st person melee game out there, at least for multiplayer.

I don't care though I know I'm at a disadvantage, and maybe I don't get as many kills or whatever because of it.. but I have fun and thats the most important part.

what is needed is like from Armed Assault 2 where you can hold down the control key and then move the mouse and it makes the screen move like you were turning your head, would have no effect on where your moving, just your head, and when you let go the view goes back to center.


this would DEFINITELY be a huge help.


I just cant bring myself to ever play 3rd person.. 3rd person is like easy mode to me, I'd rather stay in 1st. I can see that I am in the minority though

when you have the option to switch, playing in 1st person always gives you a disadvantage...



this is why I'm hoping we will have a server option to limit the POV change.. if this were the case I would only play on servers that limited to 1st person. This would be the best fighting.. period, and no being able to look all around your body.

I've basically given up on playing on any server that gives me a ping over 30 simply because I notice a huge difference in my ability to parry and not die on the lower pinged servers..

it would help everyone just choose what they wish and keep it instead of this loss you get now. I'm all for it.. personally I don't even care for the cash system.

I honestly agree... during the whole .623 period in 20+ games I never parried ONCE .. period... not I get into fights with guys where we parry back and forth 10+ times.


I've noticed more and more how much ping effects your gameplay in this game.

is this a new .625 or the same one from a day or two ago?

I'm with you there-  even if the server population is low, i try to get people to duel.

the only time i can imagine bots being fun is if they make some kind of commander gamemode-  where its 1v1, with the players commanding armies.
