There is no difference betwixt forcing a pick on stone or launching a pick mounted on a shaft to stone. Stone chips, and arrows kill.

Please. Gothic is seven years old, and was undoubtedly designed to be run with devices like Geforce 256s, TNT2s, Radeon 7000s...it has advanced graphics for its time frame as do most new releases.

Of course, "release" is a relative term for this game.

Feels like 10%...complete nonsense. Defeat means nothing to you or them.

My concern is that in some number of years, for instance (no specific reason) 15, valve changes their business model and steam works a different way. Games still in their database at that time (maybe the last 10, maybe not) get unlocked. The old ones like M&B - well, forget those...

I'm sure steam works fine if you can save installers and keys and such locally...

Steam is the closest thing to a workable compromise between DRM and consumer interests to hit the market yet. Support it until something better comes along, IMO.

There is no compromise in Steam. Steam places all the responsibility for verification on the player. The fact that developers have not figured out how to mess up a download with installation and playing issues is no endorsement of Steam. I refuse to put my trust in some company which can change its mind any day or just go out of business and leave all customers stranded. This is a matter of time...

Who knows what sort of bow you have, composite or otherwise, but I think I can safely say that whatever longbow you have, it was designed for sport and not for war, which would undoubtedly have a much higher pound force, the better to pierce armours.

In my latest high CHA game I am not sure if I have ever had a defection...of course, you have to control how many "defeats" (retreating with deaths) you have and the size of your party depends on how often you are fighting. If you have plenty of targets, just take all the men you can.

Of course, a CHA character is always sucky in battle...

The same lady gave me a quest to defeat king Harlaus twice. I did both, and I can't say I care much about how Harlaus feels about it.

I can say certainly that when I upgrade companions' skills the +x changes, and that when they are wounded the +x is not applied.

I can also say this thread hasn't really settled any questions at all. 

They all do, between you and whatever companion has the highest skill.

You might want to try out other games Paradox has published as well. There are a few great titles you have probably never heard about.

1.010 is more than 1.009, not 1.090.

There's way too many undocumented controls in M&B that should be mappable. I want to change CONTROL!

What he said is literally true, even if he had a good reason to.

The game is incomplete...

No apparent difference, so I imagine whatever changed was file structure related (downloading but not on a disc).

omg, XU has been renamed to Malayurg Castle in my game!

You can jump in the tower for protection. You move the tower slightly by your self.
