    Any chance of getting Prebattle Orders & Deployment included in a future version?

    IRT the Khergit problem, they may not have the firearms capabilities that the Sarranids have, but they should have heavy cavalry that can match everyone else blow-for-blow combined with better horses and more skilled riders than any other faction.

    What the religion actually is or believes in or how it operates has no bearing on the system described in the original post. It's just a political back channel that in this case happens to be called "Religion" and it's very well designed. I don't see the need to fundamentally change a thing about it, and [Faction adjective] Priest will suit just fine.

    That is a shame.  Using the search function would have given you an answer to all of your questions.
    Except it doesn't answer anything. It's just other people asking the same question about singleplayer and saying that bots don't work.

    But see, I'm a fanboy who has some modelling experience and am working on another star wars mod, and who knows that better could have easily been done.
    So? The testing the scene thing was a good suggestion, but do fine details of a very small number of NPC models matter even slightly when faced with having to port to Warband?

    Also, why is there more than one Star Wars mod for a game that has a very small player base? Total conversion mods are nearly impossible to bring to release as it is.

    I can't make any logical sense out of a word you posted, but this could be pretty neat. What matters isn't so much the geographical coverage, but rather the scale it is presented in on the world map. There are plenty of Europe maps for M&B 1.x that let you ride across France in a matter of days, it takes all the flavor out of it when it's this tiny little thing with nothing of interest on it.

    While I didn't mean to get this into a Classical vs. Liturgical streetfight, I do think that it's important to know Latin if you're going to tackle a project like this that deals so heavily with Roman history. There's something ineffable in knowing the language that helps bring one closer to the way they think. Hell, some Attic Greek probably wouldn't hurt, as often as Romans preferred it to Latin.

    SP Fantasy Warhammer Mod

    If you can get the Warhammer FRP skill/career system down, you're heroes - and that's that. Mind you, it'll be nigh impossible to get anywhere in the game, but heroes nonetheless. WFRP is unforgiving.

    I was surprised at how great this mod is. The only fault I've seen is that, for the size of the world map, there's not a whole lot going on that the player can actually see. Most of my time I spent flying around looking for people to fight instead of actually fighting them.

    I haven't played long enough to notice, but does this mod have non-bickering companions and following cattle herds? If any two things should be standard in every mod, it's those.

    Ancient Greek Names

    There's a difference between modern Greek names and ancient ones, just like there's a difference between ancient Greek names and ancient Latin and Macedonian names. There's especially a difference between latinized and transliterated Greek forms of names. It wasn't Sophocles, it was Sophokles.

    *edit* Stigmas were just Medieval Byzantine shorthand and are transliterated as 's', my bad.

    Also, Aiskhylos = Aeschylus, which is weird. But generally the playwrights and dramatists have some pretty awesome names. It's also pretty safe to say that you should stay away from deity names unless you see a specific variant among actual Greek likes, like Poseidippos of Kassandreys (a New Comedian).

    Fun with game_event_simulate_battle

    I just realized something. Instead of starting with a whole and breaking it up, you could just run through each stack of an army calculating how much damage it could potentially do to each stack in the opposing army, multiply it by a random number, and set that to a stack_n+1 value so that you could go through the same with the other army using the original numbers. It'd definitely solve the problem I was facing with non-arbitrary casualty assignment.
