    Stances and their utility

    My idea for fixing stances would be not to lock them while holding block or attack. That would give players a lot more control as they can change their stance right when they need it, e.g. just before releasing an attack.

    The private servers usually don't crash, so I would assume that TW just rented crappy servers and is now stuck with them for lega reasons.

    Yeah, spawns in TDM are quite hazardous.
    Still, a few more maps would be nice.

    We were wrong about the class system...

    The best thing about the class system is that you have to earn everything except melee infantry in TDM and Siege. Remember the old days in Warband when you wanted to play an archer and were able to play an archer with your basic 1000Dinars? Or you wanted to play Cav and were able to play cav but it was balanced because every infantryman had access to a good spear? Terrible!
    Or you wanted to do exotic combos like twohanded weapon plus heavy armor, wich has never been done historically except by Vlandians and maybe some elite archers, and you could? How awful!

    Yeah, but it'd be even better if you got loot playing Captain mode and got your recent games displayed correctly so you can boast with your win streaks. And it would be quite cool if a new player, when klicking on the big inviting "Find Game" button in the middle bottom of his Home-Screen, actually found a game. (I used to complain that sending new players to the ultra competitive skirmish first was a bad idea, but that's for another topic.)

    The upside of private servers, of course, is that you can pick your side yourself, allowing a well informed player to mostly pick the stronger faction with the other well informed players and win reliably.

    Make captain/skirm mode great again (console)

    Btw, does anyone know wether captain and skirmish are theoretically functioning at the moement? Last time I tried I didn't get a game and quit after five minutes (Edit: Just now checked again and didn't get any results even after one hour). Last time I got a game the server quit before it even began.
    I sometimes play Captain on private servers and there the mode is still fun and reasonably well visited. Thus I would assume if TW fixed things and it were possible to play Captain 6v6 and get loot doing it, the mode would become quite popular once again.

    I still hope that Bannerlord might become a game that I can recommend to my friends to play together on evenings but as it stands things are not getting better from the official side.

    Nerf Vlandia TDM

    I'm also annoyed with the popularity of Vlandia. It seems like 80% of TDM games have them and I would relly like to see more diversity in the matchups.
    I think the previous two ovservations are quite accurate. While in most factions most players have to spend most of their time with the cheapest class, vlandian peasants have the money making capacity to get the better classes most of the time.
    And with the beginner friendly crossbows, the highest armor in the game (who is also the only heavy 2handed besides maybe Khan Guard and Khuzait Lancer and even has good shield in addition, unlike any other 2handed infantry) and the trademark cav it seems like Vlandia got the best of everything. Definitely the best option for the best players who don't need to worry about money.

    There also seems so be some bug going on. I recently played as a peasant with loot perk, died two times without doing anything and instead of the expected 120 gold I had 180. After the recent fix with rabble 50% damage reduction I wouldn't wonder if there was something wrong coding wise.

    Fully agree, just make sure it's team internal self damage for the casual modes.

    Multiplayer - Captain mode

    Last time I checked on PC you'd be stuck in queue for ever. Last time I got a game it crashed immediately. And Captain mode used to be my favorite mode :sad:
    Also on the PC the captain mode is dead in the ranking!
    Unless you can create a party with friends again, this mode will always be dead. TW wanted to change the unequal ratio so that the strong don't always play against the weak. With the result that no one plays it anymore! DEAD FOR EVER!
    From what I recall Captain mode wasn't even that imbalanced for premate groups. I think if half the enemy team was premate you usually won because premates did only coordinate among themselves and didn't integrate their randoms.

    Thank you for uploading this, had the same problem.
    Now let's see how long it takes for us to get the update on steam and hope that at least some problems get fixed.

    Griefers/back cappers on Siege

    It's funny because in warband if the flag went down it was instant lose, but here even though it's less sudden, it somehow manages to be more annoying than in warband.
    I think a big differnce is that defenders in Warband didn't have the risk of loosing good spawn positions if by loosing forward flags. Getting pushed back from good defending positions was a thing but on the other hand the way for the attackers would automatically become longer the closer they got to the flag, creating some kind of auto balance.

    In BL defenders initially spawn in positions where they won't naturally come past the main flag, enabling back capping, and when forward flags are lost then you risk being pushed to spawn positions that make things even worse.

    And then there's defender spawn positions that are way too good, but that's a story for another time.

    Update on One life mode?

    It is called BATTLE and its from Warband and its AMAZINGLY simple, however, knowing Taleworlds, they will put in FLAGS into this mode too. :smile:)
    Don't forget that competitive Warband matches in Warband would often just consist of waiting it out until the flag spawned and then fighting for it. Improving on flag mechanics is not necessarily a bad thing.

    I just hope TW makes ist with large numbers rather than 6v6.

    Was probably just a temporary workaround for demonstrative purposes and the real thing is much harder to implement.

    It is a great feature in general but people give it a bad rep for the times they get kicked.
    Yeah, I would assume most people actually never or rarely get kicked. I never have been though playing mostly soloqueue.

    Once again: Siege and tdm or any other purely casual mode don't need autobalance based on skill level, because it doesn't serve any purpose.
    I think that fair matches are a purpse in itself.

    Ways to counter Rambo Cav?

    all that remains is to wait for the developers to do something with Rambo. Fortunately, it looks like it will be relatively soon, and I can finally return to my favorite mode.
    Can you link something that comes from the devs? I would really like to know what exactly is planned.
    I can imagine something like a respawn time that prevents players from treating their troops just as respawns.

    For Spear infantry I've had good experiences with circle formation(no unprotected ends) and charge command short before the connect. This messes up the attackers spacing a bit and most importantly allows npc's to surround and punish the enemy.

    For archers on the other hand circle leads to a lot of team kills. Best I've found is anti cav arrows, and fix direction to prevent unnecessary movement when the cav circles.

    In these situations, what's the benefit of kicking? I get it when the player is actively antagonizing their teammates, but why kick the n00bs in an unranked skirm game instead of letting them learn otherwise? Is it done in the hopes someone better will join?
    Wins are still being conuted and rewarded with badges. From that angle kicking a person actually has a benefit as it gives the remaining players additional troops to get a win.
    One might even argue that being kicked only hurts you when you are being kicked from the winning team as being kicked from the loosing team doesn't cost a victory and maybe even saves you time to find a better match.

    What region are you playing in?

    Rule of thumb: If the same players try banning different players, then it's problably trolling. If it's always diffenent players trying to kick you and you specially, I would try to adapt my playstyle.
    Reading the chat is mandatory. Trying inf and sticking with the blob is recommended for beginners.

    And then there are situations when most of the team agrees that getting rid of one player is the only way to win a match, eg. because of solo rushing or absence from the fight until it's too late. Do you think kicking a player under such circumstances is justified, or should it be reserved for intentional trolling only?
