    Soll toll ich persönlich M&B auch finde, stellt der PC-Games-Artikel für mich eine ziemlich zutreffende Beschreibung des Spiels dar.

    Nach dem Erwartungshorizont eines Durchschnittsspieler stellt M&B eben kein Rollenspiel im gebräuchlichen Sinn dar (völlig unabhängig von der Frage, ob die sog. Rollenspiele diesem Begriff auch gerecht werden), sondern eine "Kampf-Simulation mit Rollenspiel-Elementen".

    Genauso sind einzelne Kritikpunkt durchaus berechtigt, insbes. wenn man M&B mit anderen Spielen in den Händlerregalen (mit denen sich M&B demnächst vergleichen lassen muss) vergleicht:
    • "belanglose Dialoge oder wortkarge Aufgabenbeschreibungen, die sich bei den Gesprächen mit NPCs ständig wiederholen"
    • "Banditen jagen, eine Karawane eskortieren oder Bauern zur Dorfmiliz trainieren, solche Aufträge laufen in der Beta-Version immer nach dem gleichen Schema ab, was schnell langweilt."
    Bei objektiver Beurteilung kann man das kaum anders sehen.

    Einzelne Ungenauigkeiten (zB das mit den 50 Rittern) sind doch nun eher irrelevant, um dem potentiellen Käufer einen Eindruck von M&B zu vermitteln, so dass ich mich daran weniger störe.

    Meines Erachtens hätte der Autor aber ruhig ein paar mehr Zeilen auf die Beschreibung des Kampfsystems verwenden können; das ist schließlich der Kern des Spiels und das, was wohl den Großteil der Spieler hauptsächlich begeistert bzw begeistern wird.

    It's not the difficulty of a battle, only the size of the enemy party is important. You have to edit module_scripts.py (relevant part is "give_special_loot") as well, otherwise the item will never be found.

    Haven't played 0.4/0.41 yet, but it sounds awesome. Thanks to Sparehawk for keeping the mod alive.

    If you saying, that "My work for the mod is done", may I have your .py sources? I can't promice too much, but if I could make something remarkable, of course you will be at first place in "credits" section...

    P.S. Sorry for my english, it's not my native language...
    Nice to see, that other people will keep the mod alive.

    The Brave companion (or whatever they are called, zendar rangers counterpart) last tier troop has power draw of 2.
    Only bows they have in selection are strong and long bow, both PD 3.

    Real version of the map is now included in the installer.

    You have to dowload the new file from the repository and reinstall it

    One question: Is the speed rating of the bastard sword meant for being swung one-handed or two-handed? If 1-h, then Blackfyre has to be slower.

    You're absolutely right. The uniques are not good enough and there are some strange stats. I will fix that with the next (only minor changes and bugfixes) version, which will be released at the weekend...maybe.

    Other concrete suggestions for the stats of the uniques are welcome!

    I´ve edited this in my own copy and will soon send the new smoothed map to Gohda, my link to the world (thnx for being the best). Overwriting the old map file hasn´t caused any problems in my own saves thnak the seven.

    Right, towns have not been renamed.
    I suppose too, it's the realistic saving. It can be hardly a bug of the mod (saving is hard coded and should not be affected by any modifications I have done for the mod)

    No problem. I'm not annoyed by any criticism. There are a lot of things to improve in this mod.
    I'm pretty sure that I will make a bugfix. Just say, what could be done better or which banner fits better and I will change it ...maybe :wink:

    That Clegane is right (I used the best dog image I could find, although I wish I could have found better than a running beagle...).  I don't know why they decided to use King Rudolf's face (Which looks nothing like any of the Baratheon stag variants, be it Stannis, Renly, or Vanilla/Robert) instead of using Stannis's actual flag from the books :razz:

    I also included Greyjoy's kraken, but it seems that it was never put into any of the banner textures.
    Again: there is no Greyjoy banner, because there are no Greyjoy-knights and I do not know, how to assign flags to other parties

    I use this Baratheon-Banner because your Baratheon-Banners don't fit to the point in time of the mod (right after Robert's death). I know, that the mod itself is not always consistent in itself (especially in questions of timeline), but here I choose the 'right' banner for the mod's point in time.
