I've been waiting for more variety, I would really like to see different breeds/races of horses with different models each... percherons, draughts, aztecs(man I want one of those) etc etc.

Yeah, at the moment fighting an enemy with a shield is a bit annoying...attack-block-attack-block-attack-block-attack-block-attack-block until someone's shield breaks.

Requires no skill whatsoever, which is why I prefer mounted combat: much more skill-based.

Shield push would be AWESOME. A Rome mod is not a Rome mod if shield parrying isn't in.

That was half the battle, pushing a dirty barbarian with your shield, leaving him disabled for an instant while your sword stabbed him at full force.

Formations can't be that hard to code. "Column" "Line" "Wedge" "Square" that's about it.

And yes, they are INCREDIBLY useful even in this small of a game. Imagine a phalanx formation of ~12 pikemen, quite useful. Supported by a few cavalry and the rest infantry.

This, of course, works better with battle-size modded to 60 or 80 or 100.

I think if a few different people would offer to host mirrors of bandiwidth-heavy files, such as last days mod or whatever, it'd take a load off your bill.

For example, when you go download the file you get

They could add a BW limit(something reasonable) after that the mirror closes, if it's closed they'd go to the next, and the next, etc until reaching yours.

There's a lot of people out there with ~100gb a month plants who use 1, or 2. You get my drift.

Just wondering, what type of system do you have? I experience a drop in framerates when I'm at 40 units on screen, and the rest of the game is always incredibly smooth, I have to wonder what system you guys have to handle 100?

I'm on a 1700+ 9600, which isn't anything fancy but upgrading would be nice if I could have 100 units on screen.
