    NO WAY MAN!

    Take advantage of this fun mini-game before it gets nerfed, Ive been looking for more challenge and not being able to "out endure" the bandit group with an army of scrubs by whittling down their numbers after being knocked out is a VERY good gameplay addition. My favorite quest deserves a Whoopin movie.

    TBH its not designed for a low level character (which is good all the other quests are a walk in the park), Ill be taking them out as a mid-level 15 to keep the action proper.
    Would be better if they were Sea Raiders, Mountain Bandits are weaker than Caravan Guards...

    Well, some people have a dayjob and evening classes in art school so they're trying to get by with their lvl. 5 character playing just one or two hours a week.

    Lances are too STRONG!

    I think lances should have friendly fire on just like missiles. Now it's way to easy to charge into a clump of infantry (both friend and foe) and just hit the enemy. Once that's fixed You'll think twice before charging.

    I found a battle size of 80 works fine for me. (on average that is) It's a nice balance between what I, my party and last but not least what my system can handle. Though bows seem to be weapons of mass destruction in TLD I don't think it's easy playing an all ranger warband (on foot). I guess the game isn't called mount and blade for nothing.

    I kinda like the idea. Shooters have just been made less attractive because they were too strong. I think it adds too the drama and realism of the game if arrows javelins and lances were to get dammage or get lost in the heat of battle. One of the thing I like most in M&B is the desperation when you're down on your luck and you have to reach a friendly town without encountering enemys. If you have a high level character this doesnt happen to often so gear breaking down or running out at ill timed moments seems to mee a way of creating more of those desperate moments.

    seems to me that textures will be needed anyway for all the models so any reduction in polys that can be replaced by a textured detail is more efficient than a modeled detail with a texture on top of that.

    I also agree. I think as much detail as possible should be in the textures. When you're playing (and the poly count isn't to high :wink: ) things are moving so fast nobody will notice details like modeled fullers &c. Although the swords are very goodlooking I think the game should run as smoothly as possible.

    found a typo in the quest menu. when doing the catch agent of isengard mision it only sais catch agent of in the quest discription.

    on a different note...

    For one of the lords of Rohan I had to capture a leutennant of Isengard. Some time later I stumble upon a small band of brigands who actualy have one as a prisoner. After sweeping the floor with them I get to take prisoners but to my surprise the leutennant now apears with the rescued prisoners and if I 'capture' him he joins the rest of my soldiers!! Needless to say that I couldn't deliver him to the lord and I had to disband him :[ still its kind of strange to be able to have the ennemy in your party.
