    Cozur, could you instruct us on how to remove Polished Landscapes?

    I tried to do it myself but ruined the module instead. It involves too much modifications for a player to make.

    Any ideas, anyone?

    Frankly, the idea for the mod is great. Execution, not so much.

    You have to fix the mod. From one dev to another, it's a wrong, wrong wrong decision to wait until next release if the mod ISN'T currently working.

    Hotfix it. Patch it up, even temporarily. Not every update needs to add new content if the game is broken the way it is.

    Just give us something to hang on to while we wait.
    Sure, 20% of your audience will stick with you no matter what; these are the ones protecting you in this thread and vouching for you.
    But the rest 80% are the silent ones, and these guys don't give two ****s as to whether or not you add new content if the game is not playable right now.

    With all due respect Cozur, knowing how to mod, code and design is awesome. But it is not everything. A developer must also provide solutions when things aren't kicking off. Right now, your mod isn't working. And right now, is what matters, eventually.
    Going "Yeah, suffer a bit while I patch things up. Don't worry guys, it's worth it, I'm adding new stuff" doesn't cut it. Nope. It is awesome that you're adding new content, hats off to you, but you can't leave your audience hanging the way you do.

    Hi Cozur. Loving the mod.

    I'd like to ask you, though, ever since upgrading to 0.9, I've been getting a drop of frame rates during large scale battles (~350 entities, medium graphics)  in scenes that were O.K in the last version, 0.8.
    I've noticed this especially in forest scenes, but even open field battles are affected. This has caused me to play on very low graphics which I hate, and even then it still doesn't help so I've been avoiding a lot of fights as of late. First world problems, fair enough, but since it has an impact on my gameplay I want this solved.

    So I've done a bit of research, and reading the changelog, I've come to conclusion that it must be the newly-added Polished Landscapes mod that you've thrown in. And so, on to my question - I'd like to know whether it's possible to uninstall that specific modification?

    And if possible for your future graphical updates, consider leaving it as optional.
    Balance-concerning changes as well as content-related features are of course nobody's business but yours, but as soon as it comes to a player's ability to play - i.e "my computer is trash and can't play this mod anymore" - it becomes problematic.

    After upwards of 5 years of M&B modding, I have to say that this is my favorite. So thanks a lot in any case, and keep up the good work.

    Day 80 no....most strong spawns are coded to appear much later in the game.In day 80 you can get merc armies(they give a qualis) like Kodan or the guy who gives you the special bow(spoiler:razz: )

    Awesome thanks. 5 minutes after posting this, btw, I had 2 spawns up north - one an improved Adventure Company or some such, and the other a mercenary army led by some Sir Boris. Got mah qualizzz.

    Hello. Just started this mod and loving it so far.

    Some questions:

    1. How do I get the Kings' weapons? I've already captured two so far - King Ulric once (although I understand he is somewhat bugged in that respect), and Koningur Valdis twice. While at war with them, and having them as prisoners in the party screen, the only option I get when choosing to talk to them is to ransom them back for money. I don't want that.

    2. When do the unique spawns happen? I'm already 80 days in, and have yet to see one unique spawn. Needless to say, I really want to get the Qualis thingy going but it isn't possible. I check for news with every guy in every tavern that I pass by, and ask every lord that I see about it. Nothing so far however.

    Hey, thanks a lot.

    Problem is, this bug doesn't happen THAT often so I won't be able to check it right away, however when I do, I'll be sure to report back about it here.

    In any case, your help is highly appreciated DT. Also, care to elaborate on how downloading the mod from a different browser may affect the files downloaded?

    whenever i try to connect to the server (RCC_PWMod) , it tries to download a map, and just stops systematically at 7KBPS each time - telling me the connection to the server's been lost.

    You can't have lvl 12 power draw.

    It is possible to have if you edit the exported character's attributes via the generated text file.

  15. Am I Lucky or What?

    I just defended Nevers Castle with a force of about 160 troops (~90 of them are Longbowmen) against Charles V's force of ~1350 troops, and my battle size is set to 600 so I was heavily outnumbered. However, thanks to the castle's layout (one of the best out there, especially if you have lots of archers), I made it with only 4 deaths and 19 wounded, while Charles V had about 1150 dead. Then I chased him off and captured him.

    Difficulty is at 137%. 'twas great fun.
  16. Battle Formations

    You guys are missing the point of the thread.
    I was asking whether it is possible to implement Battle formations into HYW, and supplied one example for its use. However, there are many more scenarios in which formations can prove to be a great asset, such as an infantry assault or a cavalry wedge.

    Oh, and the F8 command doesn't really create two straight lines.  :sad:

    My battle size is set to 600, and most of my army is compromised of archers. Whenever I have 200+ archers and wish to take on a defensive position (F1, Hold This Position), they form a horizontal line which compromises over half of the map, thus reduce the firepower in accordance to our numbers...
