  1. Resolved Loot screen crash Beta branch

    Same, I just got a CTD at the loot screen for the first battle with raiders in the tutorial. It just freezes and eventually closes without the crash report dialog.
  2. Troop Equipment

    You can see the troop definitions in this file:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\SandBoxCore\ModuleData\spnpccharacters.xml

    While you're in there, search for "mercenary guard" to fix the duplicate item0 and no crossbow skill issues. Here's how mine looks:

  4. Resolved Cannot create save data (e1.0.4)

    I'm getting this issue in main 1.2 currently, no antivirus or otherwise interfering software is installed. I can reload previous saves and play for a while until it happens again.
  5. Rhodoks, again (possible bug and suggestion)

    Either the AI need to start using secondary weapons or we need to be given a command to make them do so. Currently they have weapons they never use, but would be extremely useful; it's broken by design.

  7. Suggestion Thread

    I prefer playing as civilian / town watch, and I think brigands should at least be able to use a regular saddle horse.

    Destructible doors are a bad idea to implement in the maps unless there is some way to get them fixed for money. Who wants to move into a permanently trashed castle?

    Any given attack consists of two parts already: chamber, release. It's the chamber animation which is capable of deflecting an incoming attack of the same direction. Just because you can complete both parts of an attack with one mouse click doesn't mean it's a single action.
  9. Fastest Combat Speed

    I hate fastest because it's broken. Attacks going through blocks and eternal stunlock should be reason enough to remove the option from multiplayer.

    Why were Khergit horse archers nerfed so much? Veterans going from 210 to 130 archery skill is just excessive. Seriously, horsemen have around 100 archery skill, so there is no longer any incentive to upgrade them to horse archers. If the equipment and/or skill don't get significantly better, what's the point?

    From all top tier armies back down to mostly low tier, from best archery skill to useless... what about the middle ground? These massive changes between opposite ends of the spectrum are not good.

    I'm still getting stutter when groups of AI clash. It was never present in M&B and is Warband specific.
  11. 2handed weapons are too fast?

    I agree that the huge and heavy twohanders look ridiculous during those ultra fast transitional chamber animations, but their swing speed is generally fine. Ultimately speed and weight ratings should affect every animation; handling speed rather than just swing speed.
  12. Rearing a Horse no longer interrupts rider's attack: WTF?

    Staying mounted on a rearing horse requires hugging said horse and hanging on for dear life. I've nearly been thrown twice, and cannot imagine following through with an attack atop a rearing horse.
  13. Kick Slash

    If you're taken out with a kickslash, think about why. It's probably failure to use proper distancing and footwork - core principles of melee fighting. Maybe if you stop to think and learn from the experience you can avoid it in the future.

    That said, I think kicking should be about creating distance instead of stunning for a followup attack.

    Yes, the Khergit faction needs a rework. One problem is the loss of their skirmishing AI; archers should not be using their melee weapons by default! The bigger problem is their troop composition. Logically, they should end up at the top end with something like two light (skirmishers/archers) and two heavy (lancers/nobles) cavalry types in order to widen their possible skill and equipment set. Why are there archers without bows? Separate them out with better throwing skill. Why are there no real elite (high level) units? Surely some would be rich and successful enough to have a wider variety of good equipment like horse armor or a heavy saber.

    This is really overkill. Please devs, exercise some restraint and common sense. Hard AI should NOT eliminate lower tier troops from fielded armies!! Making them ALL top tier is just silly.

    I'm not sure about the exact conditions, but sometimes your first block leaves you slightly stunned, adding a delay before you can counterattack - in this case wait and block a second time before attacking.
  18. Warband post-release beta test (new version on June 9)

    Wait, I don't understand why anyone would consider Nords to be underpowered? Huscarls are already the best infantry in the game. Heavy cavalry has an inherent advantage versus infantry (as it should be); attempting to nullify that with stat changes will actually unbalance the game by creating overpowered infantry. The best way to increase effectiveness versus cavalry is with the right equipment, such as long spears - not stat buffs. Maybe give Nords a spearman class? If anything the Rhodoks need to have a dedicated pikeman class to be more effective versus cavalry because it's supposed to be their strength!

    Anyway, this seems like the wrong thing to focus on when there are huge problems like the imbalanced AI army composition. Old factions need to get top tier troops too, just like the Sarranids do.
  19. Wait, when did we move to the fastest combat setting?

    I don't understand why there is no love for the faster setting? I've noticed way too much glitchy behavior playing at fastest speed online, so it blows my mind that people would prefer to jump straight to the fastest setting. Ping differences and lost packets have such a huge effect on fastest, and as mentioned the game mechanics are not balanced for it (eternal stunlock, etc). Sure it's kind of exciting/fun for a while but it's impossible to take seriously because of these problems.

    I must concur with the OP - spiked staff wins.
