I guess you go the wrong Straßburg.

The one you put in is a small town in Carinthia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stra%C3%9Fburg,_Austria), but I deem you rather mean the then and still important town (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strasbourg) in the Alsace region which was fought over by france and germany numerous times in history. It was part of the HRE in 1257 though, as was the carinthian town (which was a small market town back then), so the map is still correct.

In german, both towns are called the same, "Straßburg", so I guess it's easy to mix them up.

That this might not be a Mount & Bland Warband Single Player specific topic. In fact, it has nothing to do with Mount & Blade or Taleworlds, so you're better off asking mister Google or the WinRAR support.

Just export your char, start over and import it back in. After all, iI think the game becomes boring after occupying more than a city and a few castles...

It actually makes sense that you don't get renown when nobody lives to tell the tale...

They keep their equipment. But even when they rejoin, they won't stay for long usually.

You have to be an enemy of the faction the castle belongs to. Usually, attacking Farmers, Caravans or Lords will help.

Also, public patch version numbers might be skipped, because they are only used for internal testing and developement.

And as for training: every character trains every character who is below his level for the amount of xp according to the training stat.

It's most satisfying to fire a quick bolt at a mounted galloping enemy far away, hit him in the head and watch him crumble. Sure, it's rather freak luck than skill, but nevertheless (or rather because of that) very awesome.

While you're basically correct, the AI you'll see is still better than in WB.

Nords and rhodoks for example will position themselves on hills if they are present on the map.

Which route? With inventory 6 and prison management of 5 and trading 7, I usually get 3-4k for ridding the area between Wercheg and Rivacheg of searaiders. Just don't attack the landings.

- Starting building projects in villages/castles like Mills, Schools, Messenger towers and Prisontowers.

Depends. While it feels like an accomplishment to fully "upgrade" your fiefs, the benefit in relation to the costs is deniable for any of the buildings. You're generally better off just keeping the money to pay for your troops.

- Building up relationships with the other lords.
- Getting rid of pesky bandits investing your villagers.
- And unless your a honorable lord its also a good time to lower your controversy.

- Trading or what ever you do to make money, In times of war its really hard to make money.

For me it's the other way round. Selling prisoners and loot is so much more effective than trading, if you have a reasonable inventory and prisoner management skill.

- Wowing the Lady's (if you don;t have a wife already)
- Throwing feasts for renown and easy relationship points.
- Looking around the towns for better equipment for you and your companions.

The danube seems to be a tad too much tilted south between Linz and Vienna. But that might be a misjudgement as the towns are in the wrong place... I simply assumed that Vienna was where it should be, rendering the danube wrong. But on further inspection, it seems that my point of reference, Vienna, is off. So my apologies. Also, I may have to add that I really love the mod and where it's going, so keep up the good work.

You got Austrias towns a tad wrong. Added map with more correct names and locations, as they are seen on the map. Also, Salzburg seems to be a tad too much north (while it seems to be far enough west of vienna, it's south of it, not north). Also, the river danube is quite off.

I suggest using google maps as a reference, as most european towns didn't change location since then.

Guess I try it with more furs and velvet, as that dialogue option isn't triggered with one of each in my inventory...

you have to talk to the person who set the quest to get the gift made, then talk to the lord that the gift is for to see if it has mended your friendship with them

Actually my wife gave me that quest, and I tried talking to both of them in various orders, with the velvet and furs being in various inventories...
