  1. Modding floris, creating new faction

    i war re-balancing the game, creating new troop and item to the faction but i still do have the crash issue when joining the tournament. i keep try to fix it but i don't find the cause of the crash.

    so far my only solution is to make no tournament. simply put 0 at the amount of tournament ingame. (default is 3)

    also i want to remove that possibility to spawn at the new faction for at the start of a new game. it doesn't make the game crash but you spawn without cloth which is not really fun.

    Based on the info you gave it is hard to tell what might have gone wrong.  Did you follow a procedure for adding the new factions?  Jacobhinds's has a pretty good and fairly up-to-date tutorial for adding factions to Native Warband.  Adding them to Floris may be a different kettle of fish altogether since the Floris mod has numerous other changes to the module files.

    first issue had been fix. the issue was from the fact Floris us many troop tree according to native, revised or expended item. so i need to do it trice. still the troop dont spawn. yes i fallow the tutorial step by step. also when i recruit there is the sarranid recruit who join my party and not the one it should. i will look to see if i could find a tutorial who could answer my question.

    i got some issue while modding floris dev suit. this is based on Floris expended 2.54 i try to modify the campaign by adding serial town, castle, village and faction. i also modify the map. second issue it will be for a great help if someone know the answer of those issue. any way to fix it...

    If you're gonna do it before hiring them anyway just edit them with Morgh's. It's recommended that you start a new game if you edit any NPC with Morgh's especially for stats, since the changes won't show up until you start a new game.

    This guide is for because you already hired them and can't change their stats with Morgh's (stats get saved in a save game so that if they level up, you can edit their stats in-game).

    If you have already started a game and don't want to restart just because of using Morgh's, but you haven't hired the companion yet, then there is no real point to wanting to change the companion because the companion's stats are meaningless until you hire them.

    Basically either you use this guide after you hire them, or if you're gonna start a new game anyway just use Morgh's.

    Or just change the code about the tittle in module_strings.py
    using a tool as solution for every game you start is not a good solution.

    open it and press ctrl+f

    the underscore are space who will not be showed in the game. really important oterwise you will get PrincessBocha as name instant of Princess Bocha

    my point was not how to get or use morph, it was how to change the code to add new one for new nation. by the way the title before you hire them is not the same as after you hire them. palatinus will come back as soon you hire one.

    actually i have issue setting the tournement and scene. for some reason the always get mixed up no matter how many time i set it right. right now the nation are create, the lord are create, the new castle/town are in the map, the kingdoms have their territory.
    i did copy paste on the lord and city from the previous lord. they will have their own face and gear soon.

    to come, review the item, lord's face, unique castle/town scene, more item, troop for the new kingdom, banner for the new lord, more troop to include the gun and elephants.

    on mbrepository he send the source files for someone else own modding experience. i guess it would be ok if if give the credit for what i use. mainely it's only the coordinate to set my own castles, city village. i often move existing castle to the new coordinate and set a new castle/city/village to the previous coordinate of the city. i guess there is no need to worry about the permission on all of them

    the faction would be completly homemade and the item are already free to take and of course it would be in the credit.
