    The Final Release Date

They've been polishing the game for a few months, probably with the intent to make it complete for release.

    Project: Korea Trailer

Interesting. I look forward to seeing some progress in the future.

    Muted ... For what?!

Since you keep @ mentioning me every once in a while on your silly escapades against the tyrannical forum moderation team, it gives me a notification each time, as you surely know, so I decided to give you another reply this time and help you feel noticed. You're welcome.

The warning is not going away, your account is forever and indelibly stained by it, as you apparently see it. The potential effect of the warning point went away in a month, though, which would only have an effect if 3 more warning points had been added within that time period. I'll just direct you here again on how warning points work:
I @ you so people can be informed of who you are just by hovering over the link, sorry?
You can just ''ignore'' option me to prevent the notification, ignorance is bliss right?

But if you ever want help to reach an higher intrinsic understanding of communication, I'll be around.
I'll even offer my services as a Moderator, I'm not unreasonable nor prideful. You can tell if you had read our exchanges genuinely.

Now stop answering my comments, unless there is some actual reason to do so..

I'll just direct you here again on how professionalism work:

    Muted ... For what?!

I can see why you would think so, @Cri11e, since your judgement is clearly terrible. Just FYI, I'm rarely involved in moderation decisions, mainly in regards to forumadmin e-mails (providing some input towards the eventual global moderator decisions regarding those since I more actively handled moderation for several years on the forums here), more sensitive matters such as IP lookups and e-mail address checks, and forum server related issues.

By all means, though, keep your grudge stoked over that single warning point you received on the forums here with no associated consequences, which has apparently affected you so deeply.
Good to see you're still interested in my comments, since you fled last time I confronted you about your professionalism
I'm just a normal consumer, Janus. Don't worry about me, no need to reply to my comments, I'm just expressing factual observations.

Feel free to remove the warning on my account, though, who is still there shining ever so brightly; I thought you said it would be gone by now?

    Muted ... For what?!

Its very easy to be in violation here as they don't have a set consistency other than the subjective judgement of the in-guys under @Janus; A elitism and Groupthink culture.

[For those with some industry experience] When do you think Bannerlord will really leave Early Access?

I think they will finish in mid 2021 with a 'rushed' ( ? ) base release. With no actual content added just polish of what we more or less already have.

    Workshop spotted on SteamDB

At least good news, so it means that we don't have to install butterlibs, mod mangers, harmonies and another tons of tools to made a single mod work?
Yep, nexus and those sites have always been a messy nightmare of bloatware.

Wow really?? Thats the best news since release imo! ?

    PETITON for Development Roadmap

yes im sure somethings gonna happen if we keep saying it often enough.

    also this

    isnt a roadmap.
Lmao well said but I think this is the actual roadmap.
  10. Cri11e

    What's your current character like?

My character is called Dormant. He has been in a state of inactivity for +7 months. His hope is that the creators of Calradia will awaken him to life as was intended or at least that is what his parents thought. However, instead, his faded and glitchy eyes remain a doormat of whatever free will he initially thought he had. And the one who gave birth to him pities his existence, a day of remorse and lament.

Modders need to fix the game

Its already a well known fact that they have more employees and less progress than their company peers/equivalents.
  12. Cri11e

Bannerlord Multiplayer More Empty Than Warband

Old news this thread, but a important reminder nevertheless.
  13. Cri11e

Modders need to fix the game

I pity the modders having to bear the burden of Taleworld's bad management both internally and externally.
Trying to rescue a ship drifting the oceans for +7months, who even still waits for it to arrive at it's original destination?

Playerbase shrinking rapidly -10% in the last month

They also listened to us all begging them not to add custom servers or class customisation. Thanks Taleworlds nobody wanted those features!!!!!
    Yep,

Had they just released custom servers at day 1 that would have probably changed our entire timeline of reality.
Instead we're in the hades of timelines or in a endless purgatory. Imagine... Many of lost souls who joined in the release would probably still be here.

But NO. *Insert all formating options*
  15. Cri11e

    Interesting mod to watch

    ooh interesting!

Playerbase shrinking rapidly -10% in the last month

Bit offtopic to the thread, but I have seen this type of comment a few times and just wanted to provide some clarification on it.

There are a number of avenues for us to collect and engage with feedback. Some of the most obvious are the forums themselves, which provide us with a wealth of bug reports, performance telemetry and suggestions. Every report made here, for instance, is tracked, checked and if we can reproduce and figure it out... fixed. This alone has tremendously helped development and the state of the game. Suggestions, in turn, are picked up and escalated by individual developers but also reviewed by some of our community crew to be shared in reports and/or discussed at dedicated meetings. Several changes have been made to the game based on this feedback.

Beyond that, there are also other platforms ranging from steam to social media (or indeed direct interaction with volunteers and notable community contributors) that tie into some of these processes as well as other avenues altogether. Questionaires have been shared a number of times in the past, though, currently more direct discussion seems preferred. Modding tools f.e. have seen closed testing and discussion with a range of community members a fair bit before their public release. Multiplayer has also repeatedly hosted closed testing with a range of community testers to collect their feedback. I will raise the point of questionaires internally though.

It is certainly not perfect and there is always room for improvement, but I would say it is quite different from what some seem to think or claim.

Just to add a bit ontopic to the post)

The statements on single player, engine and multiplayer are our currently approved formats regarding future plans. I don't personally think that we will deviate greatly from them.
    Thanks Duh,

But I have one more question, why are you answering us and not the community managers?
According to your forum title you're a developer, it is great to hear from you about specific and nerdy things (glorious) but this thread is more general and seem to exactly fit the kind of answers a Community Manager would typically answer.

Am I mistaken in feeling that something is slightly off? Or perhaps people like you and Mexxico should get a payraise for doing other peoples' work?

EDIT: Clarification/background, why are community managers so inactive in the community.

    I agree with cyresdog's assessment.

There is something quite interesting about the work ethics / work culture at taleworlds and how they treat their playerbase, this is not a lone instance but other departments like that of @Janus ([email protected]) also have problem understanding / confronting their own lack of professionalism towards users, but to his defence at least he directly answered albeit in a incendiary way.

If Taleworlds felt a deep sense of loyalty towards us the taken steps thereof would have shaped this forum to a very vibrant, active and hopeful place. Instead cynicism and dark humour is rampant here, and us who still linger in these halls always grin and smirk when we enter each door, like sickly and tormented souls. (I have to admit I laughed when I wrote that)

That's simply not true. Callum was in a competitive clan in early Warband days, and William was an accomplished modder & forum moderator here before joining the company. Other devs have come from the community as well, mostly from the modding side, such as Duh and nijis. MArda has been kicking around the forum for ages and was our "inside man" for a while because he visited the studio sometimes.

It's great that mexxico and a few others post regularly now, but it's not a new thing for TW to only have a couple of devs active on the forum. Back in the Warband and original M&B betas it was usually just Armagan.

To say that TW doesn't care about the community is an insult to those devs that were drawn from it and who still maintain ties to it, as well as those devs that regularly post on the forum. I'm no fan of their snail's pace or stubbornness about certain features & mechanics, but in my 15 years of activity here I have never once had cause to question if they cared about their work and the people who play it. You may want to broaden your perspective.

Not to be a downer but most of us have also been here quite awhile and have different accomplishments. Doesn't mean anything, especially considering the underlying elitism that Warband was infamous for.

Actions > Past merit = Mexxico > Callum.

If he doesn't post and respond to people on these forums his claims of the past means nothing. Us whiners are more engaged in the community than him and hes the community manager. I simply believe hes to comfortable in his position and isn't doing what his job would normally entail: Organizing and forwarding different parts of the development team to answer the questions of this forum or at least vaguely reassuring users, maintaining a positive community atmosphere (*cough* severely failed this one).

What is the community managers actually doing right now (or for the past months?), I'm very curious to see the job description.
Don't get me wrong though, the times when Callum actually answered users its been positive but why isn't he doing this consistently?

    @Callum

To my fellow mount&bladers who are disappointed at TW atm, on TW's business mode

People forget that the expectations we had was shaped by pre-release dev blogs.
Not a magical and wondrous mind of some child's boundless fantasy.

Patch 1.5.5 - I'ma end this man's whole simping career

Oh really? Thats a great and needed readjustment of the previous taleworlds stance. (y)
