i dont believe i asked you what the rumor was, ive already heard the rumor. like vocals here I want to hear it straight from the horses mouth.

Another glorious jesus_is_lord post. dumb if you think console players will boost the numbers of this game without custom servers being released first. PC players do not queue captain or skirmish. They hit pros, and get smashed. they would be playing only with other console players and nothing would increase except the amount of complainers in the forums. they would complain about performance issues, server issues, or trolls. Let the devs do their thing with custom serverson pc and singleplayer on console. Not to mention the most glaringly obvious issue I can foresee is the skill gap between console players and pc players will be tremendous due to the amount of inputs a pc player can contribute to a server versus a console player in lets say hypothetically one minute. They would be out feinted and out maneuvered immediately without serious balance changes to the game.

Not saying any of that cant be fixed or it should be or not. Just pointing out you are asking them to create more problems for themselves instead of fixing the glaringly obvious ones that already persist. Brainless.

Do you guys have an eta on the closed tests being over or are you also waiting for the next stable bannerlord mp build to finish collecting information necessary to the development of the custom servers? I know you must update the telemetry of the crash reporter to better analyze those reports, to get more information out of them. I'm glad you guys are doing this. This is a step in the right direction for the game and will help future server owners report issues to developers. I'm not sure you answered Vocals question at all but gave the same answer the last devs have given. Let me translate that message, which is "I don't know (estimations), I cant tell you(Far from set in stone), I wont tell you(Hesitation), but soon(Many moving parts, closed tests go well/ill)."

so, here's a different question. When is your team expecting the closed tests to be over? What was the original plan for them at least? I understand there were some staff changes that have maybe swapped that timetable around, however this does not excuse that WE have heard no plans from the developers, and just want to be able to build a rough timetable so that we can get people hyped about the custom servers and invite them back to the game when the time is right. Many of them are warbanders who dislike the class system as it currently stands and that is their prerogative. I use "we" loosely as I refer to many clannies I know like Vocals here.

I'm not asking for the custom servers to be released, or an eta on those. Just how long you expected the closed tests of custom servers to last. Its been like two months maybe? They got released April 12th to a few server owners, but there's been nothing since. Forgive me for sounding pessimistic and entitled, but we have been told "soon" far too many times to accept that answer for what it is.

Hans is correct, you are wrong. you may be thinking of a singleplayer patch.

This is a troll post to anyone serious enough to enjoy the game. You show a lack of understanding of the game mechanics which is completely ok, the difference between singleplayer and multiplayer in this game is not easily grasped by newcomers. It is not explained anywhere for you except patch notes. You have to actually read the patch notes over the past two years to understand the archer speed vs infantry difference. It might help if you read some of the other forum posts from that time in the multiplayer thread for bannerlord to understand why the community asked for archers to run slower than inf. You must be able to catch them on foot otherwise they will delay the match by running around faster than everybody except cavalry. They also balanced cavalry to run slower for this reason.

All I'm trying to say is there is a method to their madness even if you do not understand nor wish to comprehend. This thread sounds very whiny, but I'm sure it was not intended to be. Who are you to understand the mechanics of the game if you haven't spent all the time that the players at the top of the leaderboard have?

This is the specific instance I would say would be a good reason for a post like this. You have to give the name of the player, the server you were on, and what hack you think they were taking advantage of. otherwise, the devs have no way of listening to your feedback. they wont listen anyway but thats besides the point lmao

You can read this post from Rhade from over two years ago. I would echo alot of the decisions were meant to be made with community input, but his metaphor of the devs telling us about all the cool rockets and weapons we could have on our tank dont matter if the tank doesnt have the tracks on right.

Yes, this has happened in our pickup tonight after several tries. This is happening to every player in skirmish and captain, even duel. Please fix.

i have been thinking and have come to the conclusion (again) that naval combat would really reinvigorate this game. it would give the class system some mileage because the class system would work really good for boats (you pick viking longship with more oars or more sails for example). i mean, think about it, if you look at a viking longship you will know the enemy are fiendish vikings with axes perhaps?? this is what callum was talking about when he was saying that the class system would give visual cues, that's boats 2, anti-boats 0 now! ok but moving on, think of how many people are enjoying sea of thieves or other games like that like sid meiers pirates or something. if bannerlords had boat combat just think of all the people who would say "oh wow bannerlord is having viking longship? i love vikings television show now available on netflix!" they would flock to the game like flies on (i don't want to say but you can google it! haha). also, it would make the respawn system more easier because, if you know deathmatch has a problem where people spawn away from the aciton. however, the game would always spawn someone ON A BOAT! the boat is always action packed (trust me i am a sailor and im telling you it is very fun DDD). so that's like 5 reasons to want to give this to the bannerlord community and 0 reasons against. i think the community would love naval combat with the viking longships and perhaps also sarranid galley?? i know fietta will lock this thread because he hates the idea of naval combat but i really think it would be like a straight shot of adrenilane to the HEART to this game. hellish and powerful do you know what i mean? stay gangster, fellow taleworlds forums.
