A friend had Warband and I tried to play campaign. I was sold, played it almost non-stop until I realised that there was a multiplayer. Since then I didnt really touch singleplayer, only occasionly on offline days and those days are long gone (for me )

I bought Bannerlord strickly because of MP. If it didnt have MP, I wouldnt have purchased it.

So Im assuming you refer to Bannerlord Online (BO) that is a fan-made multiplayer (MP) mod. Currently at this point, in terms of stability, administration and code, Id say its one of and prolly the best MP mod for Bannerlord. Its basically singleplayer campaign but in MP. Granted, some singleplayer features is missing due to the obvious implications they have in a MP environment, but the concept is there and development is on-going, new features and mechanics is added at a somewhat frequent basis.
I suggest you go to their forum and poke around, find a clan you like and join them. VOIP is almost essential for clan business. You can also play solo, many players in BO play solo, they trade, PvE and some of them tend to poke around in the PvP zone and troll the clans.

While Id tend to agree, I was still playing Warband on a daily basis up until Bannerlord released. I still install old games, even DOS games, every now and then. Sure, it would be amazing if my favorite games had prime GFX but with the speed hard- and software development progress, I dont feel its fair to expect or demand. Once they updated it, new stuff has come out and they can start all over. Not time for bug hunt/fix, no time for game development and no time for development of new titles.

I started playing Elite: Dangerous where you can't really have a single player experience, although you can opt to play solo. You still get ruined immersion when encountering systems first mapped by xx_milfhunter69_xx. I don't want to see any of that.
There's a lot to say for a playing experience crafted by professionals and not ruined by randoms.

When I walk down the street I see things I dont want to see. I just deal with it. You should try the same in the MP games you play.

In 2023 with pretty much the entire globe being online, I think its waste of money to develop games that is solely singleplayer. Its a one dimensional, tunnel visioned shallow choice. Im a Star Citizen backer since 2014. This is a very special game. Unique in every way. In total, Ive pledged about ~$250, this is an amount I feel I want to pay in order to see such a game take shape and be part of the development as a player. Its progressing. Its becoming an actual game. Im super excited for this games future.

Starfield, on the other hand, invented nothing but a singleplayer Todd adventure in space.
