    Well, I can see Im wasting my time here. If you or your little fan club had bothered to read my post you would know it wasent a whine. And asking me to do the list for you? Your the one who wants to make it...
    Ill stop now as you obviously have some sort of problem reading long posts

    Ok, right. Your narrow-minded responses, fail to look at this from my point of view.
    I came on to this section of the forum looking for a mod for M&B that would inject some new dynamics or visuals into it and thus keep me entertained until its final release. I look and see your mod list and think "great! now I don't need to look though every thread in the forum to find a good mod" "But wait, this is a list of mod names. No matter I can just look at the ones that sound interesting, Star Wars: Calradia seems to be what I'm after"
    So I click on the link and read the thread, "Hmm, seem like its not finished to a point I'm willing to play, Id like to have something a bit more than just skins and models in a mostly native environment"
    As you can imagine this continues throughout the list at the numerous, partly done projects.

    The search feature of the fourms will probably be even more effective at the task of find the "Fave mod thread" since they should be able to just type in the mods name, no? Also if the mod has its own thread they can just subscribe to that thread and be notified of replies to it and be able to find it in their subscribed threads list. I suppose those two forum features makes this list redundant in the task you claim it is made for.
    If I'm looking for a mod to play with very little knowledge of what out there then this list would be my first port of call, but it seems I will have to search though every link in the list to find something that fits my criteria. I can imagine that would take a while considering there are "92939291 pages" of threads in the Pioneers Guild, many of them must be Theads for individual mods. So I can imagine that I'm probably not saving much time looking at this list over looking at the "92939291 pages" of threads.

    So to conclude and summarise what Ive said (rather than say, ranting on and using too many exclamation marks).
    This list will indeed make the task of finding your favorate mod easier, but the forums search and subscribe features do this better. This lists function is then only to help people who don't have a certain mod in mind find a good one to use, in which it is only barely able to do.
    You say you have done descriptions for the mods before and I can see them in your Signature image. So why not do it if you are dedicated enough to spend many an hour on it as you have, and make your list even more usefull and invaluable resource to the Mount and Blade playerbase.
    Also BloodLuster, if it is useless then your right, I wont use it. Why would I want to use something that has no use?

    P.S RougeHunter, that "i think you can never make a mod list" line at the end of your post makes you sound very arrogant and pompous

    This mod list needs descriptions of the mods in it, due to the fact im not physic and some of the names are not very descriptive.
    It would also be nice if they actually described how compleate the mods are, I.e. "Just some new weapons atm" "Finished Mod" etc. Since a mod that adds a new shoe to the game but is called "Mount and Rebelion: War of Space" is just a huge waste of time for me to look at its thread to find out its wank.
    At the moment this list is useless to me.

    The mods makers are making no profit, nor are they selling or demanding money for the sounds/music. Therefore they are doing nothing illegal.
    Besides, I can bet a quick google search will find the music and sounds on the internet.
    Mods and other such applications use sounds from other games all the time, Ive played many a Flash game with Half-Life sounds for example.
    Make a Star wars mod and use sound effects for the Lightsabers from Knights Of The Old Republic, I can bet there wont be a legal team hammering your door down.

    4 recuits? lucky you, I got 1 lancer. He tryed to poke the 4 swadian Infantry with his lance before getting KO'ed by a sharpshooter.
    And I was hardly a challenge trying to block in 4 directions with my Sword after they smashed my shield to bits.
  7. Should Zendar be brouht back?

    Ok, How about this.
    Zendar is an island Port. Out out sea its used mainly as a stop off point for traders or more unlawfull purposes. Your character is dropped off here by the ship you hired to take you to Calradia. The Captain tells you he will go no further due to the fact that theres all the Sea Raiders about and you dident pay him enough to risk his life. He tells you to find your self another ship that will take you or you can "Rot here in this dump".
    So the player can then take a wander about the re-vamped Zendar Port town and ask about for a ship to take them to Calradias shores. Eventualy the player will be directed to an unsavory Sea Raider Captain who will take you to Calradia with his next raiding party on the condition that you soften up some of his rivals on the island who have been cutting in on his operations. He wont send you against the Raider Captains themselfs, there too tough for you to handle, but the rival captians often recuit men from the thugs who come to islands to find work or buy slaves from Ramun. He will tell you that you should get some fighting practice with the Trainer in town and recuit some pesants from the Tavern.
    Your task then is to kill X number of thugs partys on the island (AKA kill river pirates quest). Once this is done he will be impressed by your work (He was expecting you to be killed and he could forget about you) and ask you and the little band of men you have to help him out attacking Ramuns slave camp. This will work like a little seige with a small camp with a wooden wall around it and an handfull of defenders. This will train the player in how seiges work and also how allied partys work in battle.
    The Sea Raider Captains party will be more than a match for Ramuns defenders and the camp is destoyed. If the player is KO'ed in the battle you will be able to rejoin the battle with 50% hp regardless off statisics (put it down to the Captain having a good doctor at hand but mention that he wont be around to save you all the time)
    Once the battle at the slave camp is compleate the captain will offer to take you to the main land and as a show of good faith he will tell his men to leave you in peace (Sea Raider partys will not attack the player for say... 5 days. After this time they will attack you and give you the message that the Captain was killed at sea and they dont have to follow his orders anymore so your fair game now)

    Off cource the player can choose if he want to do this or not. If the player chooses to skip Zendar Island he is put at a random  Training Ground with a small band of random low level merc units and knocked up to level 3 with a message "after traveling in-land for a while you come accross some men looking for a leader. You decide that this is a turning point in your life and convince them to join you"

    How does that sound?

    you sure as hell have made alot of crap posts Drka

    Anyway, you can get the same problem in cramped places such as jumping on tables in Taverns and most noticably jumping on the stairs behind the slave trader. I think it has somthing to do with sharp corners or getting stuck inside somthing else nearby. It might be just that you cant actually touch the floor due to you been trapped between two slopes. Iit will probably be fixed.

    I havent had any of the bugs you guys are talking about. But i do have one where prissoners and rescued prisoners are not being distibuted properly.
    For Example,
    I attack a party:
    -----------------------------
    River Pirates
    river pirate (4/5)
    mountain bandit (3)
    Prisoners:
    Farmer (2)
    Pesant Woman (3)
    -----------------------------

    Who are engaged in a fight with a party or Manhunters

    At the end of the fight i take 2 river pirates and 2 mountain bandits captive and recuit the 3 pesant women.

    back at the map screen there is a party of "rescued prisoners" consisting of 2 farmers and 3 pesant women and the manhunters have also taken 2 river pirates and 2 mountain bandits captive.

    anyone else getting this?

    also asking rescued prisoners to join you when you have a full party causes them to say they will join you but simply vanish from the map

  16. Buildable groups

    WEll rather than having to buy each weapon individualy for each troop why not just have a "Kit" Item
    For example, you want to upgrade your Zendar Pesants to watch men, to do that you need to have a "Watchman Kits" item in a special inventory.

    Kit Sizes
    =====

    Small Kits = Can have a maximum of 5 men per kit
    Medium Kits = Can support a maximum of 10 men each
    Large kits = Can support 15 men each
    Army Kits = Can support 20 men per kit

    Kit Types
    ======
    You would have a kit type for each unit type, for example

    Watchman Kits = Alows you to have watchmen in your party
    Caravan Guard kits = Alows you to have Cravan gurads in your party


    You would end up with somthing like this

    Small Watchman Kit =Can equip 5 watchmen with the required  equipment
    Large Swadian Crossbowman Kit = Can equip 15 Swadian Crossbow Men with the required equipment.

    Horses
    ====
    To keep it simple and not too complicated, assume horses come with the kit or are suppied by the soldier himself. makes stuff to fiddley if you have to faff about with more horses and kits.

    Prisoners
    ======
    Captured Prisoners require no kits to support them as they take back thier old gear from thier deafeted captives. BUT you cannot hire anymore unless you have a kit for them to wear.

    --OR--

    Captured prisoners come to you as unarmed men and you can choose what kit to give them from unused kits you currently hold in your inventory. this is resticted by thier level. so you cant free a Farmer and then give them a Knight kit since they are too low lvl.

    Pesants
    =====
    Pesants require no kit to support them
    It is always an option when recuiting captives from another party, to make them pesants regardless of thier level or previouse experiance

    Encumberance
    =========
    A unused kit slot will encumber your party alot since you are carrying the equipment of multiple men each. It only effects your travel map speed as during a fight you would drop anything you dont need on your person to fight.
    You can Counter this by buying a pack mule. A pack mule would carry X number of kits with no slowdown of your travel map speed. but they cost a a fair amount.
    I guess you could use regular Horses to carry the kits but i think a dedicated pack mule horse would be more realistic. as you wouldent want your best warhorse carrying spears for most of its life.
    Also pack mules would make nice additions to merchant caravans.


    Cant think of anything else to say. but it think that covers it.
  17. Is Elder Scrolls Oblivion 1up-ing M&B?

    Well. Whatever anyone says im giddily awaiting the final relese of both games. I though Morrowind was a great game and i played it for about 4 months working my way through mods and even playing it though again. And when M&B is finaly compleate and shines like a pearl, ill play that for 4 months too. I mean hell its not even done yet and im playing it on and off since version .11.

    People saying that is all about your Level and Magical items in ES games are stupid. Its a simmilar situation in M&B too. With an emese amout of skill and patience you could take down some Black knights or Kergits in your starting gear. IF you have better stuff and a higher you can take them out much more easily. Same with Morrowind. With skill and a bit of luck you can take down alot of stuff with your weak equipment.

    The equpiment and level based stuff IS however the game play of World of Warcraft and other such similar titles (not all tho i might add), BUT that is how the game plays, and if thats what people like so be it.

    I for one dont care if you play M&B or Oblivion or both, just have fun with it ok :smile:

  19. Kidnapped girl quest is broken

    Shift her up to the top of your party list and see will spawn in your next fight and probably get killed. or you can just pop a bolt in her face.

    you could even take her to the training ground and kill her there.
