sorry to revive a very old post but... It still applies even after all that time 

hitpoints are necessary, otherwise you spread yourself... cause you would have to calculate potential limb cutting, and what happends then? you need to calculate bleeding, and how do you restore a broken arm? you need an hospital and magic to regrow your arms... otherwise, you'd be a plastic doll with everliving arms but that can yet hurt independently from the body. I prefer to see it the way it is right now, really.

EDIT : with 0.700 however (fixed in 0.701) it was unecessary to debate. 1 arrow would probably do instant kill on you even if it was kilometers away... damn archers in 0.700, they made me feel like **** EVEN witha shield, but that' sout fo topic...

and um... why were the archers so overpowerful in 0.700? I mean yea, sure it got retuned with 0.701, but i mean, I had lost ALL my fights because of incoming (unexpected) arrows, while on the meelee field I was a real god... and yea, horses suck now...

where is a list of the things done in 0.700? I just downloaded it and have no clue where the list is?

there would be more chances of seeing buffalo-ridden caravans than warelephants in this game I'm pretty sure!

um, this game is BETA... so we are all some sort of beta testers right? why would there be a suggestion thread and a so crippled bug section? that's cus its part of our job to report anything... we paid half the cost, the other half we owe it with observations.

literally... the post HORSES was about 3 posts down from where he posted his... it was called HORSES and was talking just about that, has abotu 5 pages of suggestions in it... was it necessary to add a new one when it is still on the first EARLY page, a pretty active topic like that?...

umm you meant eastern rome? Byzantins? That`s close to arabia in my book!... otherwise, western rome died in about 476, and thats BEFORE medieval times... in fact, that`s exactly the historical cut... what i mean is, you couldn`t normally explain the use of war elephants in europea... otherwise, you can be sure the holy knights, during the crusades, would not be mounting horses...

oh yea, war elephants were used in arabia... but Vaegirs and Swadians are so much like scandinavians that I don't see how they could've met with war elephants...
