    Just stopped by to see if anything changed lately, and i was surprised to find out not only I got possitive replies from Crossbow Joe and Dell, but also the mod is running once again =)

    Looks like your work really pays out from those cool High Elves pictures!

    Make sure that you copied the BRF Export scripts to the right directory. There can be a /.Blender/scripts directory, maybe a /bpymodules subdirectory. If you can not find it, search for files on your computer with the same extension as these script files, and place the BRF Export scripts among them. Important to use 2.49 or lower version of Blender!

    PS: I did not find a way to import existing BRF animations into Blender, only exporting works for me. So, this tutorial is about making a whole new animation.

    So you coundn't import as well? maybe the file for brf import is missing for you... as for me - I didn't get the brf import esxport at all, I don't know where you all got them from

    While there is historical evidence of warriors going to battle with sword and firearm, they never really dual-wield a gun-and-sword combo, and more importantly, we're talking about a pre-gunpowder battlefield to begin with, so this whole conversation is moot.

    Even if we were, however, the best historical examples of such combatants would be boarding pirates of the golden age of piracy, which were hardly regulars of the main line battlefield of the time (which simply attached a bayonet to their musket when they needed to go to melee).  They still didn't "dual-wield" pistols, either, as guns took so long to reload that they would simply carry (tied by string around their shoulder) three or so pistols to the frenzied melee of a boarding maneuver, fire them off one-by-one, and drop them before drawing their sword for the melee. 

    While most people wouldn't carry the gun loaded while in melee (why not just shoot the guy before he gets to melee range, if he is out in the open getting ready to stab you?), it wouldn't be completely beyond the pale of reason to hold back your single shot until melee range.  It then becomes a matter of how much programming effort it would be to include this incredibly rare event where you need to be parrying with a sword and firing a gun at the same time against the fact that this would essentially only ever be used in very select few mods, and it just becomes an obvious waste of time for the developers to consider.

    Well I guess you're right, about the amount of effort needs to be done into it comparing to the times of use... Just thought it might be cool - not for a realistic player, but for players who wanna get out of the pictures with futuristic mods and stuff...

    and you could use it as a backup, you're primary weapon will be the pistol in that case, and you have a sword to ready and if someone suprises you from the side youjust slice him down.. that's the idea anyway

    sorry for flooding this topic.. but one last thing - while in 1.011 there wasn't such problem, here after you fall and the fight goes on you can't choose to "retreat" in the middle, you're just stuck there watching even if u're losing and you could retreat and have the option to leave. It comes into problem much more when an enemy is glitches out of a boat in a naval fight. I'm not sure that's exactly what happened, but after clearing the naval battle scene there was an enemy nowhere to be found - at that case I was alive, and I couldn't retreat, or anything, untill miracoulasly one of my archers got him. and I have no idea where he was, probebly in the bottom of the map. So if I had no archers alive I'd just have to quit the game and start from whatever save.

    One more thing about the ship thing - it's great... you figured out just the right way for it to be really efficient and balanced - with the boats goin at 15 speed whenever, but still ofcourse you'll have to buy it, and you still have to walk mostly. but here's the thing -  maybe more creeks that connects distanced water through land... So you'll have a bit more maneuver from distanced places... for example connecting the creek that devides Lizardmen from Empire to the one that devides the Empire to Nippon... so you'll have more access. If it's not too much problem of course.

    and that's it for today, if I was more of a burden than help tell me and I'll stop screwing around

    I play the nippon and I like them but when a war against the empire starts the **** us hard... maybe some equipment form kengeki gaiden would pump them up... Not that yours isn't sweet. But that mod really might help with some things. like the ninja mask which looks there more like a ninja and less like a hood and a mouth cover. And if you could - I tried and failed - put in their fighting animations. It's really good.
    I'm sorry for pushing so bad into kengeki gaiden but the additional face, animation, and ninja stuff are very sweet. However, Warsword is still my number one, as well as in 1.011, this mod is the best.

    Maybe you should put the 1 rank troop of every function in the previous warsword in taverns, just like the orcs... if it's not too much problem.

    And I also wanna report a bug... the sea traders... they get stuck in land... and i guess they supposed to be like caravans..?

    There's something wrong with the ~30k denares bow (tsuruchi bow? something like that) you can buy from the wizard traders. It says it has 99 accuracy but in terms of accuracy it's a lot worse than any other bow, still worth it but the description should have the right accuracy, I was a little bit disappointed after I bought it.


    [edit] BTW factions on opposing sides of the water do declare on each other but they don't manage to get anything apart from a few raids (lords take way too long to get to the other side without boats) and their trading boats seem to always be stuck somewhere.

    check the attack rating/speed... if it's low (like 80) that's the problem... for some reason atk speed  plays a role with accuracy.
