Yep. I had the same. It's a mistake in original item_kinds1.txt file. Just change the mesh name from tourney_helmR to tourney_helmW. You can change the plume's colour to blue, yellow and green analogically (replacing capital letter at the end of mesh name with B, Y or G respectively).
Don't roll your eyes at me. I'm taking time out of my day to help you. I don't have to help you, I could just leave you stuck where you are now, helpless. But I am helping you, because I thought that you deserved help. I am starting to think otherwise. You'll have to convince me that you are a decent person again.
Is it something, which comes with a game or do I need to download it? if I need to download it, could you please post a link?
Could you please post step-by-step guide how to do it (I don't know what to do, when you say "go into the item editor") or post already modified .brf files?
It might be a stupid question about simple problem answered many times before, but I need to know and I can't find an answer with search function. What should I do/change, to make great helmet look like arena helmet (of one particular colour). Just to clarify, this is "arena helmet".
BTW, is...
I am experiencing these lags too. There was always a tiny lag when reinforcements were arriving to the battlefield, but now (since v .960) it is very annoying. Previous version of M&B I had installed before .960 was .808 and it was far smoother.
Go into the Simple Triggers text file of the module folder you want to fix the music for, change the value on the second line, "84" (which should be all by itself on the line), to "83", and completely omit the line:
"1.000000 1 603 1 1"
which should be very near to the top of the file. I hope this helps (and works... ).
I'm pretty sure it's from the Holy War mod. At least some troops wear them in that mod. If they are not from the mod itself the creator may know where they are from.
TLD is a LotR mod. It is still being made I think, just they are waiting for M&B 1.0 to start porting it over. Their forum can be found here.
The armour is modified and is not part of the HYW, but the helmet is from some mod (or at least I was told that by someone). What is TLD? A mod? Thanks for replies.
Hi,
I am searching for the resources of this helmet:
...i was told it might be from HYW mod (or some other), that's why I ask here. If you know anything about it, please, let me know. Thanks!
The third pic is already in native, you just have to use the item editor to make it merchandise so that it gets sold by merchants.
As for the others, once you have the .brf files and .dds textures that correspond to them (and permission to use them, if you intend on releasing the mod), just put them in the resources and textures folders respectively, fire up Thorgrim's BRF editor, find out the name for each of the models, then use the item editor to add the helmets to the game.
First: I'm not working on a mod, it's just for my private use and nothing else. Second: thanks for help. I should be able to handle adding that third helmet by myself but what about other 3 helmets, does anyone know where to get their resources and textures?
Hi,
I tried to search for answers, but the results were not satisfactory.
I intend to play native M&B but would like to implement some new helmet models which I have seen in other topic ( http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,27335.465.html ). The precise models I am interested in are...
Which is? The one when the guy is thrown over the horse's head like he's being catapulted from the saddle? Or do you mean the animation when you force a horse to jump? ANyway, I don't mind adding any new way of falling from a horse, horse/character movement animations etc. to the overall repertoire but I wonder, why they discard the cool, and already implemented ones. IMO it's a shame.
Nevertheless, I must give devs due credit for being devoted to small details. I have been playing (with pauses) M&B for 2.5 years now but only now (either because it's a new feature or because it has been recently added) I have mentioned, that when tournament is going on on the Arena and it rains a pieces of mud (instead of clouds of dust) are thrown to air and fall by horses' hooves. Such a "stupid" detail but I just loved it!!! That is why I really miss some things not present in the latest release and still hope that in 1.0 all those cool features (and not only better quests, more weapons and NPC's) the team have been putting in game for so long won't be missing.
To add to this thread: concerning horses animations -- in .960 there is dead-guy-dragged-by-one-leg-stuck-in-stirrup animation missing when you kill someone while riding on a horse. That was one awesome animation in older versions of M&B and although some of you might say, that it's needless, i cannot but disagree. For me, personally, it is about such tiny details, which make any game amazing because it shows it has been made with love... And speaking of love, I'd love to see it back!
Yes. I was experiencing same problems with this mod as Antoxi did. Copied the sounds from the soundpack to the correct folder, enabled sound scan in .ini file but it did nothing. I still heard old vanilla sounds. Then I have also copied another mod changing sounds (precisely man-dying-sounds) and these were used by the game. I wondered why that might be and found out that it's because these soundfiles had the same names as the relevant ones in main M&B\Sounds\ folder. This made me to look for some other .ini/.txt file, where the soundfilenames were somehow registered. This file is sounds.txt but there are so many strange (to me) parameters and there is so much of it, that i did not want to change it (because i wanted to "play M&B" and not to "play with M&B").
This being said I really wonder, how did you all managed to make this soundpack mod working without editing the sound.txt?
Eisenhouwer -- your soundpack is great, but it still at least needs modified sound.txt and .exe installer (there is one mod, which helps to make one) at best.
