    It is Morgh's. No problem, though. I got what I wanted. I sent Morgh a PM about it, but he hasn't responded.

    I think Wolfsblut and xenoargh are right. If you just make the changes to item kinds list as opposed to using the editor, no problems. I just opened the editor, tweaked the item, updated and copied the the new item line, closed item editor without saving and pasted the new item line in place of the exisiting one in item_kinds1.

    Something else weird is that if you use the item editor, don't make any changes to the item but update and save anyway, it still crashes with the runtime error. Even though you're not changing anything.

    I don't know. I've reinstalled the mod, but if I edit a sword it gives the runtime crash at loading. I edited the wakazishi as well with same results. I've tried running the game, the editor as Admin, in compatibility mode, etc. I tried running DX7, windowed mode, but if either of those items are edited, it won't work. It's not a big deal, I guess. At this point, it's just the principalities. Anyone else care to try it and see if it happens to them as well?

    Windows 7 x64
    Phenom II X6 1090T
    8GB RAM

    Edit: I've also used the item editor on Ranger's Apprentice and Native with no problems.

    Yes, I'm doing it correctly. I use the editor on every mod I play. Actually, I think when I adjusted the charger speed, that was fine, no problems. I was going to play for awhile until I found a sword I liked and then tweak it, but I ended up liking the relicsword that you start with as barbarian and tweaking that caused the error. I tried removing the bonus against shield tweak and upping the cut a bit with same results. Always the runtime error.

    Yes, I should have mentioned that. Adding speed to Chargers and bonus against shields to relicsword.

    It seems that if I use the Mod Tools Item Editor it causes a Runtime Error on the loading screen and crash. Is that normal? I haven't experienced it on any other mods.

    What he means by hunting is you see a herd of deer, buffalo, etc. on the world map and engage them. It goes to battle mode and you basically ride down the animal and kill it, salvaging meat as loot when finished. 1866 mod uses it.

    I can't remember the mod, but in it you could buy your troops drinks in the tavern to raise morale, which is handy with a large army. That's my suggestion. Also, a couple or few more companions.

    Also, another mod lets you build a barracks in villages, supplying troops to nearby castles. Maybe it's Calradia At War or Litus. I don't remember.

    Another thing. The 1866 mod has "grenades" that explode fairly effectively.

    Yet another thing. The Dark Knights invasion was always pretty cool and threw a nice monkey wrench into the game. That or something like it might be alright.

    I wish I could say something definitive that would help. I simply switched Users on my PC from Henry to Administrator and installed the game and mod there. So to play I have to log off and use Administrator, which I never used before. As with many programs on Vista and 7, I'm used to running all programs as Admin, so I don't really know what the difference is between the two profiles...

    How to disable Cheat menu

    I have the same problem, except "nocheatmenu" isn't working, whether I have it checked in Configure or not. I just wanted the Strange Great Sword, never used the cheat thing before. I guess that's what I get...

    where to check right to rule

    I've vanquished the Khergits, own all their towns and cities, sent countless emissaries, married, got recognized as a lord, but right to rule does not show up on my character or notes screen. Only renown and controversy. Also, I've seen the message scroll say that I gained right to rule many times, but it's just not there. Anyone know what's up? Thanks in advance.

    More realistic and visually distinct battle-scenes, rather than the red martian-esque wastelands and rolling sand dunes currently in the mod. It's funny - the city, village, and fort scenes look ok, but the battle-scenes look like they take place on another planet.

    A bigger map would be cool, but not really necessary. It would be nice to see everything west of the Mississippi and more of Mexico (don't look at me like that. Hegemony is doing almost the entirety of Europe, and northern Africa and portions of the middle-east). Of course, filling it with varied factions and scenes would be a mammoth task.

    I don't really like the idea of crowding the current map with more settlements, though.

    Average Joe Peasant hit it on the head with the map thing. The sparseness of the current map is good, but it is hurting for more cities, towns, etc. Like Joe, I'd hate to see more crammed onto this one. I mentioned before in some other thread about you guys putting up a Paypal donation link. I'm not able to mod or pay y'all a salary, but I could and would show some support in that way.

    I captured Bishop's Lodge, went away for awhile and came back to get the "accumulated taxes or whatever for this place was -3 million dollars". It quite broke me....

    This may be a stupid question, but does horseback accuracy affect firearms from the saddle? It only mentions throwing and archery in the description. Also, it seems that stockpiling is a leader or party skill as opposed to personal. It was kind of a buzzkill when I wasted several companions' points and figured that out...
