    Continued Racism, Antisemitism and Breach of TW Policy on Napoleonic Roleplay

    I was playing on the day I (think) some of this post is referring to, and the admins didn't ban one but two players. I don't know which player this is but they both had long Jewish names. One got banned after lighting some TNT which he didn't actually place, and the other one got banned for doing nothing. The other one returned and got banned again. I think this is the player Ewoksson's post is referring to. No rules were broken and the admins made up some false charges in the admin chat. I will stress that no racial slurs were hurled by the admin team on that day but I have seen it in the past.

    This is of course server business, and having bad admins isn't something which has to do with TaleWorlds. However I was quite shocked having watched those players play in spectator mode and while one might be misinterpreted, the other one, who returned after being banned quite humorously, did nothing but play normally assisting his team. I and the chat did protest this as it did seem like the ban was given due to his Jewish name. While this alone is not grounds for TW's intervention, I have seen admins use slurs previously, and they have definitely seem to feature custom skins in exchange for donations, which is totally against TW policy. Also when you have members of NRP/JB/59th (or whoever owns what these days), who have a history of these sorts of problems, it's not exactly unexpected to see them downplaying the issue. They're not exactly going to post logs, screenshots, or anything highlighting their policy breaches.

    Swords or Bayonets?

    The Sword is generally a better duelist weapon, nobody can deny that, even if that individual him/herself is better with Bayonet.

    The Bayonet is generally a better group-fighting weapon, nobody can deny that, even if that individual him/herself is better with sword.

    Bayonet can score quick 1 hit KO and backstabs, and the sword is faster with twice as many attack directions.

    Maybe they just want Romans in the game. But they also want a fictional world. But calling them "Romans" would sound stupid because in the game they're not from Rome.

    Funniest part about this is that out of all the tunes played in the game, the Bagpipes were done the best. Maybe on-par with trumpets. And it still needs a replacement.

    But it's the fifes/flutes which were truly horribly done. And I can't really judge the drums.

    B Oriental Kengeki Gaiden

    Doubt this is still being worked on but what's the difference between the Warband and WFAS versions? I'm downloading the WFAS version simply because there are an absolutely tiny amount of mods for WFAS, and there's already another Japanese mod for Warband, though I think it is set in an earlier time period, I'm not sure if that one had guns but if it did they were really old if and primitive if you know what I mean.

    Swords or Bayonets?

    I would say Bayonets overall.
    While Sword completely destroys Bayonet in 1 v 1 face-to-face duel. For general use I prefer the Bayonet. For example, you have flanked the enemy from behind, there are 2 soldiers 3 meters in-front of you, facing the other way completely oblivious to your presence. What would you rather have, sword or bayonet?
    Bayonet by far.
    Bayonet kills quicker, Sword kills better, but time is precious, if you had a sword, they would've turned around after the first hit.

    That's not to say 1 v 1's are uncommon, nor am I saying swords are useless in situations like these. But the bayonet is better in these situations. This is completely disregarding cavalry though. You can't use bayonets on horseback, so we know who wins the cavalry department.

    1/2 Handed weapon on horseback?

    So I understand that using a 1/2 handed weapon with 2 hands will be faster and more damaging. But on a horse, pretty much all 1 handed, 1/2 handed and 2 handed weapons all swing with one hand alike. But to use a 2 handed weapon, you have to put away your shield anyway, despite the fact you swing...

    I hope the AI's retardation levels will lower while using the Sarrissa or they're done for. I think a Pike brace needs to be implemented in this mod, i'm sure WFAS had a Pike brace and whenever you told Pikemen to Hold a position they would make nice Pikewall formation.

    The shields that were used with the Sarrissa were small strap shields that offered some protection against missile fire and maybe even some attacks. I'm no modder but i think what would be a good a idea is for the small strap shield to come with the two handed Sarrissa and would stop arrows, maybe the item would be called "Sarrissa and shield" but I'm not sure if that would be possible.

    If it is not possible then I'm not sure what would be a better idea, make it two-handed and screw the shield, or make it one handed, which would actually mean you could use a huge-ass hoplite shield with it. I would go with screw the shield, but it's your choice.

    But i don't think it should be a problem stopping players from using it on horseback, because that thing is just insane.

    The AI is generally retarded.

    Also i found a Sarrissa in Rome once and i find incredibly overpowered. It does the same damage and has the same speed as my Dory, ok, but it is more than twice the length of it and can be used in one hand. Basically meaning there is almost no reason to use my Dory. Worse yet, i can use the Sarrissa on horseback, and i absolutely reck havoc with that thing. I reach people with ease on top of my elephant even when they are far away.

    I think it should:
    1. Only be able to be used in 2 hands  <-- This a must.
    2. Have less speed
    3. Not able to use on horseback  <-- So is this

    Pikes are not horrible against Cavalry, the AI are just rather retarded, anyone who has played multiplayer knows not to go near a pikeman. Just tell the pikemen to hold a position and stand closer 10 times, better yet if when you tell them to hold a position they will form some kind of pike wall or Phalanx. Though I'm not sure if formations will be implemented.

    Question: You say Macedon will be added in future, do you plan Macedonian infantry to use pikes (or sarrissas) like they would've? I would really like this since mount and blade's mechanics tend to favor cavalry especially in vanilla and I'd love to see lots of cavalry charge my pikes and get slaughtered.

    Question 2: Do you plan for formations to be implemented in this mod?

    Bayonets vs Swords/Rifles

    Personally i would say it would be balanced is swords did just as much damage as bayonets. Because bayonets have superior range and of course, swords are only for melee were as if you have a bayonet you have a gun. As for rifles i would just use your other melee weapon.

    And what if both the Cavalry and Pikemen where played by humans? That's right, the Pikemen would win, and you'd know this if you ever tried charging someone with a pike on multiplayer, and you'd definitely know that if you charged someone with a pike on WFAS (The pikes are REALLY long on WFAS) on multiplayer.
