    I'm very sorry but taleworlds screwed up this time and big...you have created an ''addon'' that is actually a mod and a very bad one at that. To be honest most of community mods are far better choice than your ''addon'' mod. You wasted valuable time and money when you should be concentrating on M&B 2 or something with new engine and better singleplayer campaign. Or you should be concentrating on improving bad pings that lots of time ruin gameplay. Any way you have created a MOD and a crappy one at that!

    - The Woods near the Wooden Castle. Can you put like a small Wooden Nordic like Village in the trees there? Somewhere we commoners can work? It just seems a bit empty there, Just lots of trees.

    - Can you expand the Commoner village a bit? Its a bit small with only a few houses. Can you make it more vast? So more people will be there. Maybe some houses that you can enter?

    -I will add some stairs there.
    -There is a wooden cottage near the wooden castle. It's a commoner spawn point.
    -There are no houses that would require wooden doors. As i said before i will not add teleport doors.

There are some glitches we've found: going backwards up some cliffs, bug in snowy castle: once you are in you dont have to break the doors, just walk straight in, up the stairs, walk on the wall and then jump up to the keep and the chest. Also there's a bug in the stone castle next to the outlaw camp: on a good horse you can jump over on the right side and ride through the gate if the gate isnt closed completely.

    These are the bugs we found. The ships work nice once you get used to them. I'm sure you know the problems of items disappearing after some time, thats a bit annoying... But happens on the whole mod.

    I fixed most of those bugs and hidden entrances . Please contact the admins and ask them if they are using the latest version of my map. But if there are still bugs like that please include a screenshot.

    And this but is not about my opinion. It is a fact. You can not give to the players map without basic textures done, without smoothing and balancing the map. I was horrible I admit but I even did not check map properly when I saw how lazy map was done.

    The screens I posted are not exceptions. There are reality of this map... Honestly, you can not present map like that to the community. People will say: great map to be nice to mapmaker and because always new map is great news, but... sooner or later they will see what I see....

    First! I must apologize in advance to any person, or persons, that might feel insulted or upset by the following statements. Of course, the main antagonist  of discussion here is kindly excluded from this apology, since he deserves no less.

    Now.... I feel really insulted you couldn't post what bothers you directly in my release thread. More than that i'm outraged you speak of me, as if i were some kind of retarded person that doesn't have a clue what he is doing, as opposed to you, ''so skilled and the best map maker ever'', even thou you never made CRAP! Perfect politician...all talk no work!

    Anyway MAYBE...who knows... i can explain this in such a way, even you will understand!

    When textures are applied on a horizontal surface they look fine. When you try the same thing on vertical surface IT STRETCHES THE TEXTURE!!!! So there is no way to design cliffs that high and sharp,  without textures looking like that!

    So:
    You obviously have no experience in map making for warband. Because if you had some, you would know, that the problem with stretched textures is IN THE GAME. Go complain to Taleworlds!

    Secondly I WANTED CLIFFS THAT ARE LIKE THAT. By THAT I MEAN THE SHAPE, NOT THE TEXTURES. (BUT AS I SAID, I CANNOT FIX THAT)!
    NOT EVERYTHING IN NATURE IS ROUND AND CIRCULAR and SMOOTH. SOME ROCKS ARE SHARP Some are smooth. Some are in between.  If you would sit less behind computer, and go out more, maybe you would notice...or maybe not??!!
    It's obvious to me, you don't like realistic maps. For a fjord country, that tried to create, there are already too many smooth plains!

    Secondly. I made so much trees for 2 reasons! 1.) It's more realistic! 2.) It creates an ELEMENT OF SURPRISE!!! I explained to someone and i will say it again. It forces factions to have GUARDS! Guards on the walls and guards with surfs.!!! Also that's why i don't particularly like  the idea of telling a faction you are declaring war on them. It kills all the trill of a organized and prepared faction. It also gives away when the castle will be most vulnerable and empty.

    If you would look again at my thread you would see that i have added the same map with 70% less trees. I'm very sorry but if your crappy computer cannot withstand even that i really cannot see how to help you. BUY A NEW COMPUTER!!!! For a person obsessed with graphic problems of my map, you are the biggest hypocrite. You want the best looking map but your crappy computer cannot run it...and you didn't even check it out fully. Gameplay obviously means nothing to you.
    Mount and blade is not hi tech graphic revolution, but that's not why we love to play it.

    And finnaly.... I'M LAZY??? This is the biggest map so far! It has all the weapons in all the castles. Also let me remind you that there is no copy paste in the editor...go figure. Maybe you will grasp that?!
    As far a gameplay is concerned it has all the stuff other maps have. And it's  also my FIRST map so i learned a ton of stuff making it. It took me about a week of 3-5 hours daily to finish it. I would like to see you try. It is clear to me, that you are just a spoiled brat, that hasn't even got the basic amount of common sense, to know when to STFU, when you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

    I , nevertheless, still encourage  you to take my map, and edit it the way you think is better, even though i think you lack the discipline, imagination and brain power to even do that.
    PLEASE DO IT, FIX MY BROKEN MAP! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE :roll:

    Sorry but no. I specifically didn't want teleport doors. If you host a server you can edit a scene yourself or ask server admins to do it.

    I took your idea and added ''leave your faction and become a commoner'' points to every commoner spawn point. :grin:

    I have already uploaded a map with 70% less trees. If this is still too much you are on your own. Please feel free to edit it as you see fit.

    I'm happy you like my map.  :grin: I also visited the server today and saw you downloaded and installed the full version. Please Check the beginning of the thread and try out the -70% trees. :grin: If that is still to much i encourage you to edit it yourself. I have less and less time of lately so i would rather spent it playing than editing.

    As for balancing: I don't want all the best archers, footman or riders to join in one faction. That's why balance comes from within the faction. It depends on the skill of the players. It also pushes the engineers to make weapons that will be used, not just making some junk that makes them earn money faster.

    But if you really want castles to be more archer or horse oriented please tell me which weapons would you like to see in each castle and i can easily erase the other ones. No problem. :grin:

    -don't scale drawbridge so much - it looks terrible almost always. nearly none IRL drawbrige is longer than gatehouse height. In All castles except snowy one (especially in wooden fort) I would change them to destructible ropebridges (buildable from both sides) + destructible gates.
    -mixing castle_f and castle_h textures ain't good idea. Only mixing that IMO don't harm eyes are castle+castle_f or any non-arabic castle+wood
    -I wonder if I'll be able to run it even in dx7... but it doesn't matter - such small details shouldn't disrupt artists xD

    1.) Map guide sucks :grin: i agree i was eager to release the map and didn't see the point in making a map too detailed. In short everything is very compact. Castles have all training in one spot. Also every village or ''commoner spawn point'' has branch, stick and wood block export. Castles have armories that are not easy to miss since they are huge :grin:
    2.)I wanted sharp cliffs. I know it looks stretched but game is designed so that ground coloring only works ok horizontally. Apply it on a vertical scale and it's a mess :grin: 
    3.) These are not norwegian cliffs they are swedish :grin: hehe only joking :grin:
    4.) Drawbridges are essential for this map. There are no doors so you have to watch who runs over your drawbridge. Too often have i witnessed the castles being closed in front and just using back door. Which was easy enough for the players to dismiss any kind of guarding ''jobs''. Now you need a guard to supervise the gates. If you don't you become an easy target!
    5.)well i had no other choice than to mix a couple of different castles. Since i couldn't use Arabic castles for obvious reasons. I wanted to create a castle without any teleport doors. Everything is opened and if something is closed is by a ''real'' door. Players often teleported through to the armoury or throne room and just waiting for you to teleport behind them...just plain silly...so no more of that.
    6.) i know the map is huge and amount of trees overwhelming but as i stated a couple of posts up it's essential for surprise attacks and basically that's why i made it like that.

    Ok i changed the map so it's more clarifying :grin: Hope it hepls :grin:

    Trees are a hiding factor. You can no longer spot an enemy from half the map away...this raises a requirement for guards. Guards at the castle and guards needed to support the surfs when they go for ore. Also outlaws are no longer a few running idiots that anyone kills on sight. If they coordinate their gameplay, they can be a force to be reckoned with.

    Characteristic of the castle is by the weapon usage of the players. So players determine gameplay. Also engineers have to listen to warrior requests not just make random ****. Also it would be unfair for a faction to have the best bows but the worst swords or vice versa.

    I think the story is like that: You ''the commoners'' came to the castle without permission. I know because, when we play, we only let in commoners that want to join us so if you violated that you got killed...If anyone could go into the castle the money chest would be easily robbed. So most factions have a strict policy: if we need new members we let you in to join, If we don't need new people the commoners have no business in our castle and are killed on sight!!! We ofcourse warn any n00b that doesen't know that and if he still tries to get in...he dies :grin:
