    Most likely you are running out of memory, this is a big mod.  After you start up the game, on the menu screen go into Configure, try the following
    - Disable Edit Mode. (Advanced)
    - Enable 'Load Textures on demand' (Video)

    The troop type depends on the fief original owner, so if you give Roland a castle in Emprie he will get Empire troopies.  I too used Pendor as my main culture, most of my lord have some type of Pendorian troops.  Usually it runs about 15% Pendor and rest is the original culture of the lord.

  7. Constable and other town functions

    The constable gives you the option of recruiting any faction recruits.  When you talk to the constable he will ask you what faction and how many(increments of 10 to max of 50 recruits) then a recruiter will spawn and try to recruit what you requested.  The only problem of using a recruiter he can be attacked by factions you are war, so best to try to recruit fromfactions you are not at war.  Eventually you will get a message in big red letters telling you the recruiter has return to you town or castle.


    The other option in the town/castle you will get reinforcements every day based on thenumber of times you clicked on it.  The type of reinforcements is based on either your faction policy if you are a vassal or what you selected in the domestic policy when you are king.  Usually if you are a vassal you 10 to 14 dudes.

    Basically you are running out of memory is your problem.  This mod is big, it isnt uncommon to see the executable take 3g to 4g from my pc.  Have you try load on demand?  Flicking on the battlefield usually tell me I finally ran out of memory on my pc and I have to restart mount&blade for this mod.

    It is the weight penalty hit.  I think the threshold limit is either 15 or 19 pounds for body armour.  27 pounders I think give a -3 to power draw I can't remember right now.

    I use it with Fitted Greathelm which I found that in Swadia.  I got the body armour and boots from Rhodoks.    I think got the shield from Vaegirs?!?!?!  Gauntlets I dont remember now.

    There are guard units, simple update to the module will fix this.
  14. What difficulty, tweaks, and cheats do you use with 2.1

    Unfortunately no matter what relationship you have with them they will attack when you get too big.  My strategy is this.  First find someone with the highest reown, rich, and martial and make him the marshall.  In turn I became more of a trainer.  I find training troops from lvl1 to lvl4&5 maybe 6 and give them to my vassal to be an excellent way of raise relationship.  Not to mention keeping my vassals army with large numbers.  While my marshall and his band of misfits cost trouble for the enemies, I gave myself second job of besieger.  I keep a core group of cavalry of Swadia, Vaegirs, and sisters which doubles for good assault troops.  I also have mix horse archers and crossbowmen.  I prefer to give away the lot of town/castle right away after the assault to keep relationship hit low compare to giving fiefs individually.  The main reason I prefer myself to be the main besieger, I can share the booty which gives me a relationship bonus of two to five points.  Oh, always try to let your vassals initate combat for another 2 to 7 bonus for "saving him".

    Can you tell us which ones you are having the issue?  I've siege half the towns/castles in 2.1 and never had an issue.  For Knudarr Castle which is still a known issue in 2.1, I tell the marshall to do it.

    Oh, sorry. I've got the 2.1 version. I've tried to siege Jelbegi instead but I've got the same problems. The AI don't see the ways which lead to the enemy -_-

    Hey, I tried Jelbegi castle and had no problems taking it.  There are some siege sites where there was ladders and siege engine in the same map, I had to tell all my dudes to charge and physically led the assault up the ladders.    Thus far, I've sieged 3/4 of the map and no issues with any one town/castle, I did tell my marshall to take Knudarr Castle, so I'm not sure about that one.  Do you have 2.1 full or 2.01 and then updated it?  What troops do you use?  I'm about 70% cavalry(Swadia, Vaegirs, Mercenaries, and Sword Sisters), 20% horse archers(Khergit and Sarranid), and 10% crossbowmen(Rhodok).

    I concur with the suggestion of "ready vs. charge".  Right now, cavalry just creams anything.
