    well, you're just empirically wrong, cause i've used those engines as well as others, and i can tell you that m&b doesn't magically break normalmaps. It doesn't have the flexibility of CE or UDK but part of being a sick artist is being adaptive and working out a solution within parameters.

    Al mansur, btw, that looks dope as hell. You probably need some vertex painted ao on the interior tho
    I haven't had any issues with normal maps on armor, their skin shader just doesn't look like skin.

    I never said anything was bad, I just want to save a group of modders from overdoing shooting mods for mount and blade and wasting their time.

    Do something unique like ship based pirate battles or something.

    Sacred continued to compare Skyrim to existing games like the Witcher etc, but completely disregard him. Obviously I simply defended developers.

    Then, the difference is that The Witcher 2 looks better. I don't care if it was marketed for X or Y.
    And im trying to tell you OF COURSE The Witcher 2 is going to look better. They had TONS more memory to use for quality and post processing and shaders. Skyrim doesn't look bad because the developers suck, it looks bad because consoles suck but they are a console RPG.

    Sigh... Of course its going to look worse on PC compared to other PC games. Bethesda didn't spend any development time to buff up the graphics for the PC because they know you can edit the ini files yourself and create mods to max out the quality. And the game looks ******** gorgeous if you do.  And Skyrims engine isn't very demanding at all, consoles are just so old. Witcher 2 wouldn't even run on a console, BECAUSE it was made for PC and they cranked everything up.

    I don't play consoles, if that's what you're suggesting.
    You said they were both released in 2011 so they can be compared, even though they were targeting different hardware.

    Lets go ahead and compare Crysis to Call of duty 4 then, shall we? No. Thats stupid.  Any idiot will know Crysis will look better because it was made for the best hardware at the time.

    The argument was about graphics, not for what piece of hardware it was made. Both were released in 2011, so they can be compared, yes.

    And if you take your head off your ass and read what I wrote, you'll note that I was not addressing just the graphic engine, but that Skyrim has too many design flaws to be considered a top notch graphic example for medieval stuff.

    2006 graphics card that is garbage and has been in the xbox since its RELEASE IN 2006 and renders at 1280x720 because its made for TV display.
    512 MEGABYTES OF RAM.

    Yes, there is a huge difference. I don't think you understand the types of memory limitations put on Bethesda in order to make the game run at their desired FPS on a console. They have to cut down on distance quality, texture quality, dynamic lighting, shadow resolution etc.

    No, take a look. BF3 was developed for the PC exclusively and then ported to consoles. Look how much quality they had to cut down in order to make it work.

    Slowly getting progress on this, been busy. Smoothing out the cloth a bit and getting ready to finalize it and start low poly


    I did update the sword but it hasn't been brought into the new file, its less curvy and thick on the hilt now

    Skyrim is fantasy medieval, MB wins in true medieval.


    I mean not only will you not beat Red Orchestra 2 in graphics, but you definitely wont in gameplay.  MB gameplay will never fit ww2.

    Hey quys, im about to call the high poly finished (no picture yet) once I get the shoe laces and the quiver on


    But im having trouble deciding on a quiver


    This is the most commonly used one while traveling, since it covered the arrows and kept them dry in the rain, but then again during a battle they actually stuck the arrows in the ground in front of them because it was faster to knock them.
