  5. [RoK] - Rise of Khergits II - New screenshoots on first page (Old Topic)

It s an awesome mod!! And also my favourite mod too... When the Warband releases, i think u ll update Rok for this and i hope u ll put a faction managing system like "fire arrow"s so we can be the Khan or King and we can have our own vasssals, altough i couldn't have any vassal at Fire arrow
  6. Which Mod is the most fun to Play? to you!

Rise of the Khergits i like most
  7. "Dawn of Turks" Modu-(Açık arttırmada :) !)

    Niye ki, çok iyiydi...
  8. Yardım Fire Arrow

Evet, ben de aynı meseleden şikayetçiyim. Tüm Nord ülkesini istila ettim ama hiç vassalım yok. Bi köye ya da kaleyi gidip "give this fief to your companions" seçeneğine tıklıyorum, bu durumda adamın normalde benim vassalım olması gerekir, hatta adama banner bile veriom, ama adam vasalım olmuyor.
  9. SP Medieval Musket Era [WB] Ottoman mod: Walls of Constantinople - Progress begun

yes, they are completely different; cultures, language family, race, even  Islamic belief.. Turks' belief is more logical than Arabs and opened to new ideas... Arabs' is not... And also Turkish war tactics are faster and more complicated than Arabs'... And also using of weapons too...
  10. [RoK] - Rise of Khergits II - New screenshoots on first page (Old Topic)

And also will melee cavalry add to Ottomans :?: :?: :?:
  15. SP Musket Era Mount&Musket is Hibernating

Nice thinking about Ottoman Empire, but if we look at history:

in 1820s, the Janissaries were abandoned by Sultan Mahmud 2 because of their corruption, and not fighting well in the battlefield. That event known as Vaka-i Hayriye, which means The Auspicious Event in Ottoman Turkish. Then lots of janissaries were executed. Then a new army was established and its name was Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediyye, which means Soldiers of Muhammed in Ottoman Turkish.

And cavalry forces, esp. melee ones, were still important, even in Turkish War of Independence in 1919-1922. These guys did so many things, such as cutting supply lines, flanking enemy lines during infantry attacks, etc... So I think cavalries in Ottomans will be good...

In fact, I have no idea about infantry for Ottomans for this mod but, i think it is gonna be good and adaptable to history when the melee cavalry forces added to Ottomans...

Аhоli umumiy miqdоrining 39%ini mеhnаtgа lаyoqаtli dаvrgаchа boʻlgаn yoshlаr, 54%i mеhnаtgа lаyoqаtli vа 7% mеhnаtgа lаyoqаtli dаvrdаn kаttа yoshlilаr tаshkil etаdi"
    And this what i understood:

Merkezi Asya'daki başka devletler gibi Özbekistan Cumhuriyeti'nin hem halkı daha genç olup, onun "katta kısmi işçiliğe elverişli- yapabilir- çalışabilir gençtirler. ( Not sure about the last word ). Halkın genel miktarının %39'unu ( mehnat means labour, it may mean:smile: çalışabilir yaştan daha gençler ( probably he means before 1:cool:, %54'ünü çalışabilir insanlar, ve %7 sini çalışamayan yaşlı insanlar oluşturur.

Well, i think i got what he said, more than half of...

    Allegro 说:
You are pulling these out of your ass, thay use both sounds.
You see, i changed "a" and "o" in somewhere. Not from my ass, it is your ass...

    Allegro 说:
Writing it down somwhere and deciphering it spending time and using your vocabular memory doesnt count as understanding it. You wont be able to do it during a conversation so you'll probably just stare at the guy.

Well, how i can speak english with an english, i think i can make a conversation with him too. During the conversation, yes, i may understand maybe half or close to half, but not good like reading it...

    Allegro 说:
Lol you keep saying that knowing Turkish alone is enough to be able to understand other Altaic languages then you  are telling you can understand because because have knowledge about ancient and modern dialects. If one needs etno-linguistic knowledge to do that that means knowing Turkish isnt enough.

Have you got any logic in your mind? If you have, that logic will answer you. ( Dam üstünde saksağan, vur beline kazmayı tam senin laf)

    Allegro 说:
Turkish has evolved on its on pace isolated from other Turkic languages thus it became another language, its not just about Persian or Russian words otherwise you would understand pure Turkic languages like Göktürkish.

Evolution may be true, but only if the words are the subject, not grammar. I said grammar doesnt change except little and a few rules. So we can say grammar between modern Turkey dialect and Gokturk dialect is same still...

    Allegro 说:
But you cant, that means you are mistaken somewhere, figure it out yourself.

I figured it out and showed it to you at up of my answers. (Damn english)

    Allegro 说:
So? All European languages have the same grammar too, you have to know what other person is saying first to be able to have an idea about the grammar. Belonging to same linguistic family doesnt make languages mutually intelligible.

    I said u: language = grammar + words
%75-72      %100-95  %50    ---> For the Turkish dialects, but if words ratio %0 same, language ratio will be %0 too. ( Not a linear ratio here)

    You know maths, aren't you?

By the way, I am really bored of answering you. I wont answer you no more, so you can say whatever you want from my behind. I hope you understood what i try to say at all these answers.

  17. What is Khergit?

    Allegro 说:
turning "o" into "a" doesn't change any ****, it just becomes more gibberish.

That shows that u are stranger to Uzbek dialect. Uzbeks are using "o" instead of "a" in anywhere. And the Uzbek's words were not enough, u have no idea about how formal or informal this is. I suggest u to look at formal Uzbek sources to get an idea again

    Allegro 说:
Lol you just didnt understand any **** from that Göktürkish text, it has no similarities with modern Turkish so stop evading.

Actually, I laugh at you man... I am not saying that i understood its %100, I SAY THESE TEXTS MAKES ASSOCIATIONS IN MY MIND AND THESE ASSOCIATIONS ARE NOT FAR FROM THE REAL MEANING . And stop to compare yourself with me, your knowledge about ancient and modern Turkish dialects are lower than me, and you think i m like u, i cant understand them like u...  I m not sure that u can understead even Turkish which is being used in different regions of Türkiye.

    Allegro 说:
Picking similar one syllabled words and presenting them doesnt prove anything, what about the rest of the language?

And here, you r both right and not right... TG, Turkish Language Foundation (not sure the true translation) has been purificated Turkish language since 1920s from Arabic and Persian origin words. They did lots of things altough not enough. The Arabic  and Persian origin words are still many in other Turkish dialects, especially who are geographically close to Middle East, such as Azeri dialect. Unfortunately there are no working for purificating the language in other Turkic countries. And also some Russian words infiltrated the former Soviet Turkic dialects too. And these, yes allegro, makes harder to understand.

But altough different origin words, the grammar is always the grammar, and it never changes. I put these tables, because I wanted to show that grammar is still same grammar. And all we know that grammar + word = language. So my conclusion, grammar is the same grammar still ( 1 exception: Uzbek dialect hasn't vowel harmony), around the half of the words changed, so you can understand it. And if u know the other words, u can understand more than half of it too.
  18. What is Khergit?

Yeah allegro, i m waiting for your response 7/24, so that i can't sleep. (not sure the grammar is correct). And yes, i claim to understand, i really understand the ancient dialect ( not %100 of course  ) because I know the pure Turkish translate of Arabic origin Turkish words, such as budun = millet. And about your example in Uzbek dialect... Your example doesn't seems formal. You know, if a sentence becomes more informal, understanding it will  be harder too. So i suggest you to look at Uzbek pages of wikipedia. If u look at there, (and if u turn "o" into "a") u will see that you can understand more than %50.

I searched it like you, and found something that can prove similarness of the dialects (, I couldn't make a table, sorry ) :

    And these:

    [img=http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/6199/sozcukpf7.th.jpg]

I hope everthing is OK there. And guys, if anyone can't understand the Turkish words ( for non-Turkish ppl), i can translate them.

PS: I know a little about how to upload a photo to forums. Dammit....
