A note regarding 3GB fix: I had some problem with random crashes in Warband and it helped, but at the same time it rather drastically lowered the overall performance of my system outside the game. For instance, Windows was taking ages to launch....

I made Sir Alistair one of my vassals and we've beaten Jatu army together, I didn't had a place in my army to hire all the Jatu prisoners, but he appearently had and now he has more than 400 men in his army lolz, it's insane.

However it's kinda counterintuitive to get both noble archers and foot knights if you can get Knights of Ebony Gauntlent and they can just sit in the middle of the map sniping enemies from long distances and destroy in melee anyone who get's too close... But that's different problem.

IMO it's kinda sucky. Honestly. Pendor is about nobles and nobles only. Regular troops are just expendable.

Don't get my wrong, I don't want a super-kingdom that would melt faces  on every level, but I'm not content with current state of the game in this aspect. I would really like to see honor troops being spread more equally between all of the factions so devs could buff normal soldiers and turn Pendor into "real" faction.

I realise that it was intended, it gives Pendor a different feel etc, maybe it's also supported by the history (I'm not really into fluff tbh), but it's just how I see it.

BTW 10+4 pathfinding??? It sounds like end game..

Stick with them for a little longer? Become a vassal? Or while roaming around the map just trade stuff, you can make a lot of money that way. Check FAQ for details of effective trading.

Anywho,  I found that trying to go independent too early in PoP is FREAKING hard, you can capture a castle, but holding it is another story.

Never encountered bug like that. Maybe just try reinstalling the game/mod. It doesn't take too long.

I actually just took all the guys from the garrison of the castles I owned then I spoke to the King and withdrawn my oath and finally just took the empty castles for myself. Easy.

EDIT: Oh, haha, 2K army just raped both of my castles in few days. Ouch.

I wanted to post  a screen of Oil costing 47 in Laria just for ****s and giggles, but PoP crashed for me once again and once again it caused some error resulting in constant crash on launch. Mod is awesome, but it's also extremely buggy for me. I read the FAQ I installed resource patch, switched to Directx7 etc and I still get have like a ton of issues. I'm playing it simultaneously with few others mods (like SoD, so they're as advanced and complicated) and I have no problems with them so it's not W&B/My PC fault.

Sorry, this is truly one of the best mods, but atm I'm raging.

I don't think I like that.

I don't like being rushed, as time pressure is (IMO) the worst and artificial way of boosting the difficulty. Just like revisiting same levels on and on again as a way of prolonging the game length.

Is there some lore explaining how it is supposed to look?

Had the same problem.

Try switching to DirectX 7 or installing older graphic drivers or simply reducing graphic settings. (switching to Dx7 fixed it for me. game is definitely uglier, but it doesn't really matter here)

Nooby question:

How do I exit hidden mines? Because pressing Tab gives me "can't leave now" (or something like that) message...

The location will appear on the map regardless of whether you're near it or not. (Not like bandit camps where you have to be near to find it) It usually appears in secluded places, like the desert behind Torbah or the mountains around Poinsbruk. Just search the world map thoroughly.

Oh, right, they apeared in corner of the map, above Poinsbruk. I didn't know you can go that far!

Is it possible for Al-Aziz mines to not spawn at all?

I paid merchant a Gem, I got a message that mines are revealed on the map, but I can't seem to find them. And it's not like I just did that and looked casualy over the map to post this, no, I bought the map good 20 in-game days before and I was running doing trades (and looking for it) and never seen it.


Do they have a highlighted name on a map, or is it location like bandit camp or something?

Woah, I played it a bit and I must say that this mod (version 3.0 that is, i didn't try running previous version so I don't now if there are any difference between beta and non-beta ones) causes some major performance issues for me. I can run really big battles on highest graphic settings without a drop in FPS's but on strategic view it's getting really weird. I i'm still getting like 70-100 FPS's but - for instance - every couple a seconds game freezes for a brief moment, when I'm waiting in camp, it isn't really getting faster etc.

Any solution? Or is it just that amount of stuff going on in background is so huge that my PC can't handle it?

Should trying to take over a castle to create my own "kingdom" be my main early-game goal, just like in previous versions, or now (due to the fact that new factions are already on  map) i have to join family etc?
